Tutor Perini’s Subsidiary, Fisk Electric, Secures $40 Million Contract for Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Project

Tutor Perini Corporation’s subsidiary, Fisk Electric Company, has recently been awarded a contract worth over $40 million for the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department’s Ocean Outfall Legislation Program. The project, known as Construction Package CT-3C-A, Electrical Distribution Building 2 (EDB-2), Contract No. S-949A, has been assigned to Poole & Kent as the General Contractor, with Fisk Electric responsible for the complete electrical scope.

The scope of the project includes the construction of a new 45,000 square-foot electrical distribution building, installation of eight 13.2kV Tier 4 diesel engine generators, associated control systems, service air, fuel oil and emission fluid bulk storage area, and an electrical ductbank system connecting the building to new substations. The project is situated at the Central District Wastewater Treatment Plant in Key Biscayne, Florida.

Fisk Electric has a history of successful projects at this site, having previously completed four electrical projects with a combined contract value of over $32 million. Work on the new project has already commenced, and substantial completion is expected in the first quarter of 2027. The contract value will be included in Tutor Perini Corporation’s backlog starting in the third quarter of 2023.
