Nordstrom Rack to Open New Location in San Antonio, Texas

Seattle-based fashion retailer Nordstrom, Inc. has announced its plans to expand its presence in Texas with a new Nordstrom Rack store in San Antonio. The company aims to strengthen its network of stores and introduce new customers to Nordstrom Rack’s unique product offerings. The Senior Vice President of Nordstrom Rack Stores, Carl Jenkins, expressed excitement about the new location, stating that customers in San Antonio will have the convenience of shopping great brands at great prices.

The upcoming 25,000 square-foot Nordstrom Rack store will be situated in Bandera Pointe, a popular shopping center in Bexar County. This shopping center already houses well-known retailers such as Lowe’s, Target, TJ Maxx, Ross, Ulta Beauty, and Old Navy. Bandera Pointe, owned and managed by SITE Centers, is ideally located off Loop 1604 and Bandera Road, making it easily accessible to shoppers.

With the addition of this new location, Nordstrom will operate a total of 22 Nordstrom Rack stores and 8 Nordstrom stores in Texas. The store is scheduled to open in the fall of 2024, joining two other stores opening this fall in Denton and Allen, along with the recently opened location in San Antonio.

Nordstrom Rack, the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, plays a critical role in the company’s Closer to You strategy, which focuses on delivering customers a more convenient and interconnected experience across its stores and digital platforms.
