LP Building Solutions Opens New LP SmartSide ExpertFinish Facility in Bath, New York

LP Building Solutions, a leading manufacturer of high-performance building products, has announced the opening of its new state-of-the-art LP SmartSide ExpertFinish prefinishing facility in Bath, New York. This marks the 13th siding facility in LP’s portfolio and brings more than 60 new jobs to the area.

The new 90,000-square-foot facility, located on 75 acres in Steuben County, will enable LP to meet the growing customer demand for its high-quality and sustainable products. The opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by representatives from LP, the Steuben County Industrial Development Agency (IDA), and local government officials.

LP’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of Siding, Jason Ringblom, expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Bath community and expanding the company’s prefinished home siding offerings in the Northeastern U.S. He highlighted the strong growth of LP’s prefinished siding product, ExpertFinish, since its launch in 2020. By expanding into the Northeast, LP aims to better serve the new home construction and repair and remodel markets in the region.

The establishment of this facility in Bath marks LP’s 23rd manufacturing site and its first in New York. The Southern Tier region was chosen due to its proximity to the Northeastern U.S. and Eastern Canada siding markets. LP will receive its exterior home siding product at the facility via rail from its siding production mills. The material will then be painted, packaged, and distributed through LP’s existing network throughout the Northeast and beyond.

The opening of the facility was celebrated by over 100 attendees at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Various speakers, including LP executives, local government officials, and representatives from the Steuben County IDA, expressed their gratitude for LP’s commitment to the community and the economic benefits it brings.
