WiSA Association Offers Free License to WiSA E Wireless Multichannel Audio Transport Software to Display Members

The WiSA Association, a subsidiary of WiSA Technologies, Inc., is making significant strides in the wireless multichannel audio industry by offering a free license to WiSA E software to all WiSA Association display members. This move aims to support the development of an ecosystem of interoperable wireless audio brands and provide consumers with a range of wireless audio options.

The license allows display members, including HDTV and projector brands, to implement WiSA E wireless immersive audio transmitter technology in their display platforms. By incorporating WiSA E, brands can offer consumers support for Dolby Atmos and FlexConnect, as well as full interoperability with any WiSA E-enabled speakers from various WiSA Association speaker brands.

Tony Ostrom, the president of the WiSA Association, expressed excitement about this initiative, stating that it is a significant win for display members, their consumers, retailers, and the future of the audio industry. The association aims to provide display members with ultimate design flexibility by offering WiSA E as a powerful and versatile software-based wireless audio technology. It can be implemented in various ways, ranging from entry-level 2-channel functionality to 8 full channels. Additionally, WiSA E can be ported onto any display platform or implemented as a chip-on-board solution.

All display brands are encouraged to join the WiSA Association to take advantage of this program. The association will be showcasing a WiSA E software port to any display platform at CES 2024.
