UiPath Introduces Integration Service Connector for Access to Powerful Foundational Models

UiPath, a leading enterprise automation software company, has unveiled its new Integration Service Connector, providing developers with access to Amazon Bedrock. This fully managed service offers industry-leading foundation models (FMs) through an API, enabling the development and scaling of generative AI applications.

With UiPath’s connector for Amazon Bedrock, automation developers and citizen developers can seamlessly integrate Generative AI into their UiPath Studio and Studio Web automations. The connector supports text/chat capabilities through Amazon Titan FMs and various other FMs from top AI providers available via Amazon Bedrock. This includes the Jurassic-2 family of multilingual large language models (LLMs) from AI21 Labs, capable of generating text in multiple languages based on natural language instructions. Customers can also choose Anthropic’s LLM, Claude, which excels in conversational and text processing tasks.

Graham Sheldon, Chief Product Officer at UiPath, highlighted the simplicity and power of the UiPath connector for Amazon Bedrock. He emphasized how it empowers UiPath customers to accelerate the development of their own Generative AI applications, aligning with UiPath’s vision of helping customers innovate faster with AI.

Generative AI relies on FMs, which are large models pre-trained on extensive datasets. These models possess a vast number of parameters, enabling them to learn complex concepts and apply their knowledge across various contexts. AWS explains that FMs can perform a wide range of tasks due to their exposure to internet-scale data during pre-training.

One of the key advantages of the UiPath connector for Amazon Bedrock is the security and privacy it offers. All data remains encrypted and does not leave the customer’s Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), ensuring confidentiality.

Earlier this year, UiPath also announced seamless integration with Amazon SageMaker, allowing data science teams to connect Amazon SageMaker-hosted ML models into UiPath business processes without complex coding. This integration enables users to interact with deployed models and utilize their outputs within workflows.

For organizations seeking to incorporate AI and ML models into their automations, UiPath’s AI Center provides resources and guidance for taking on new use cases.

UiPath, listed on the NYSE under the ticker symbol PATH, aims to elevate knowledge work and enable people to work more creatively, collaboratively, and strategically. Their AI-powered Business Automation Platform combines leading robotic process automation (RPA) solutions with a comprehensive suite of capabilities for end-to-end process automation.
