The Hospitality Alliance for Responsible Procurement (HARP) Aims to Drive Sustainability in the Hospitality Industry

A new initiative called The Hospitality Alliance for Responsible Procurement (HARP) has been launched by EcoVadis, in collaboration with leading global hospitality organizations including Accor, Hilton, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, and Radisson Hotel Group. Two global hospitality group purchasing organizations, Avendra and Entegra, are also part of this alliance. The primary goal of HARP is to accelerate sustainable practices across the hospitality industry by fostering close collaboration with trading partners and building transparency.

The HARP initiative aims to address core challenges faced by the hospitality industry’s collective supplier sustainability programs. By utilizing EcoVadis’ proven sustainability rating methodology, scorecards, and improvement platform, HARP will provide visibility into the sustainability performance of the hospitality supply chain. This will enable HARP members to implement targeted improvements and drive positive change.

The founding members of HARP have already rated over 2,000 suppliers, and the initiative plans to expand this number further to gain greater insight into the sustainability performance of the supply chain. HARP will also provide capacity-building and engagement activities, as well as tools and best practices, to its member suppliers.

The collaboration between these leading hospitality organizations and EcoVadis demonstrates their commitment to improving sustainability performance and creating a more sustainable future for the industry. By working together, they aim to maximize their collective impact and pave the way towards achieving their sustainability targets.
