TD SYNNEX, a leading global distributor and solutions aggregator for the IT ecosystem, has released its second-annual Direction of Technology Report, showcasing the critical role of high-growth technologies and ecosystem partnerships in addressing skills gaps and uncertain markets. The report, based on a global survey of over 550 technology resellers, reveals the increasing interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and how technology partners are adapting to the evolving demands of the industry.
The survey, conducted in partnership with Canalys, highlights five key findings that provide valuable insights for businesses navigating the rapidly changing technology landscape. Despite the challenges posed by disruptive technologies and market uncertainties, technology resellers are demonstrating confidence and flexibility in their business models by focusing on emerging technologies and responding to changing customer demands.
Rich Hume, Chief Executive Officer at TD SYNNEX, emphasized the significance of the report in helping businesses understand and capitalize on the latest trends in the technology ecosystem. He expressed optimism about the future and commended channel partners for their adaptability and willingness to embrace emerging technologies.

The survey, conducted from May to July 2023, witnessed a doubling in the response rate compared to the previous year. It captured feedback from B2B channel partners across North America, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), and Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), including resellers, systems integrators, service providers, and MSPs.
The European supplement of the report is now available, while regional reports for North America, LAC, and APJ will be published later this year.
