Québec Nickel Corp. Utilizes Artificial Intelligence to Identify Promising Nickel-Sulphide Targets at Ducros Property

Québec Nickel Corp. (QNI) has announced the successful completion of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) nickel-sulphide-focused targeting exercise at its Ducros claims in Québec, Canada. The study, conducted by ALS GoldSpot Discoveries, aimed to generate meaningful nickel-sulphide-focused targets across the property using AI technology and to reinterpret the geology underlying the Ducros claims.

The study utilized ALS GoldSpot’s proprietary SmartTARGETTM AI technology, which integrated and synthesized multiple exploration datasets, including VTEMTM, airborne gravity, high-resolution drone magnetics, and Lidar surveys, along with surface biogeochemical surveys and drilling assay data. The AI algorithms generated over a dozen new nickel-sulphide targets, some of which are located along strike of the Fortin Sill Zone and adjacent to the recently discovered Q-Zone within the Ducros Ultramafic Sill Complex.

In addition to the AI targeting project, ALS GoldSpot completed a litho-structural reinterpretation of the Ducros Property. This reinterpretation, based on short wavelength airborne magnetic data and the Ducros drillhole database, provided a better understanding of the primary geological structural framework and will enhance future exploration efforts.

Meanwhile, Québec Nickel Corp. continues its exploration drilling and down-hole geophysics program at the Fortin Sill target area. The drilling aims to explore for additional nickel-copper-platinum group element (Ni-Cu-PGE) sulphides down-plunge and along strike of the main mineralized showing. The company plans to drill up to 5,000 meters in this phase of work, targeting both the Ni-Cu-PGE Zone and prospective geology.

In a corporate update, Québec Nickel Corp. announced that David Patterson, Executive Chairman, has resumed his role as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2023. Richard Dufresne has stepped down from the CEO position and will continue as a Director of the company.

The results of the AI targeting exercise and the ongoing exploration efforts at the Ducros Property demonstrate Québec Nickel Corp.’s commitment to advancing its critical metals projects in Québec. With the identification of new nickel-sulphide targets and a better understanding of the property’s geology, the company is well-positioned to continue its exploration efforts and unlock the potential of the Ducros Property.
