Popmenu Partners with OpenTable to Streamline Menu Management

Popmenu, a leading innovator in restaurant technology, has announced a new partnership with OpenTable to address a common pain point for restaurants – menu management. This collaboration aims to make it easier for restaurants to upload, edit, and manage their digital menus, saving them valuable time and resources.

As a preferred menu management and publishing partner, Popmenu enables OpenTable customers to quickly import and build menus, as well as update them across multiple locations. Shared customers can edit menus via Popmenu or an integrated point of sale (POS) system, and the changes will automatically update on OpenTable. This streamlined process will help restaurants boost their placement in search engine results and enhance the overall dining experience for customers.

According to a recent industry survey by Popmenu, 55% of operators are adopting new technologies to meet market demands, as they face ongoing labor deficits and rising costs. Updated menus play a crucial role in driving business, as revealed by an August 2023 Popmenu study of 1,000 US consumers. The study found that 55% of consumers are more likely to book a restaurant reservation on a third-party reservation site if they can see the restaurant’s menu. Additionally, 97% of consumers believe it’s important for restaurants to keep their menus updated on their websites and third-party sites.

Sagar Mehta, CTO of OpenTable, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “Solving restaurants’ biggest challenges is our top priority, so it’s important our partners have access to tools that streamline every aspect of their business, including menu management.” Brendan Sweeney, CEO and Co-founder of Popmenu, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the goal of delivering technologies that address major pain points for the industry while helping restaurants grow.

Popmenu offers a comprehensive suite of restaurant technology solutions, including AI-driven digital marketing, AI phone answering, and online ordering. With this partnership, Popmenu aims to create greater efficiencies and revenue opportunities for operators, ultimately enhancing the overall guest experience.

OpenTable, a global leader in restaurant tech, connects more than 1.6 billion people with restaurants every year. As part of Booking Holdings, Inc., OpenTable powers hospitality at over 55,000 venues worldwide, providing a range of services such as reservations, experiences, payments, guest insights, and operations.

The partnership between Popmenu and OpenTable is currently live in the US and Canada, with plans to expand to the UK in early 2024. By joining forces, these industry leaders are paving the way for restaurant growth and success in an increasingly competitive market.
