TERENCE DONOVAN: ONE HUNDRED FACES

by Diana Donovan and David Hillman (OH Editions £14.99, 112pp)

Terence Donovan’s impressive life and career as a photographer was reflected by the vast array of people who attended his memorial in 1997, from Princess Diana to Margaret Thatcher.

The East Ender — who also had a black belt in Judo — captured the capital during the Swinging Sixties, along with fellow Londoners David Bailey and Brian Duffy.

The three socialised with musicians, actors and royalty and became celebrities themselves.

This compact edition of his photos features some of his most memorable portraits, from Jimi Hendrix and Debbie Harry to Sophia Loren and Sting.
