Nuvei Expands Presence in Asia-Pacific with New Operational Hub in China

Nuvei Corporation, the Canadian fintech company, has announced the opening of its latest operational hub in China, as part of its ongoing expansion in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This move demonstrates Nuvei’s commitment to providing global payment solutions and local market expertise to ecommerce businesses as they scale internationally.

Philip Fayer, Nuvei Chair and CEO, expressed his excitement about the new office in China, stating that it will enhance their services in APAC and enable businesses to enter new markets. Nuvei is already serving several Chinese businesses, including Geekbuying, Vakatrip, and Cupshe, by providing cross-border payment services as they expand globally.

With its increased presence in the region, Nuvei aims to extend its global reach and offer enhanced local expertise and customer service to its current and future clients. This expansion in China follows Nuvei’s recent achievements in the APAC region, including obtaining local acquiring licenses in Singapore and Hong Kong in 2022, and more recently in Australia.

Nuvei also enables businesses in APAC to connect with customers across the region by offering a wide range of alternative payment methods (APMs) from its suite of 634 APMs. Additionally, the company has partnered with Mastercard to provide instant payouts to bank cards, with the service already available in Singapore and soon to be launched in Australia and Hong Kong SAR.

Nuvei’s modular and scalable technology allows leading companies to accept next-gen payments, offer various payout options, and benefit from card issuing, banking, risk, and fraud management services. With its extensive network spanning over 200 markets, local acquiring in 47+ markets, and support for 150 currencies, Nuvei empowers businesses to succeed locally and globally with a single integration.
