Nanox Imaging Announces Manufacturing and Supply Agreement with Varex Imaging Corporation

Nanox Imaging, an innovative medical imaging technology company, has recently entered into a manufacturing and supply agreement with Varex Imaging Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of X-ray imaging components. Under this agreement, Varex will supply X-ray tubes utilizing Nanox’s digital X-ray source for the Nanox.ARC system.

The collaboration between Nanox and Varex comes after Varex conducted an assessment of Nanox’s novel digital X-ray source over the past few months. The Nanox.ARC system is a 3D tomosynthesis multisource imaging system that incorporates Nanox’s proprietary digital cathode X-ray source. Nanox believes that this technology can achieve the same functionalities as traditional X-ray cathodes while allowing for lower-cost production.

Nanox’s holistic imaging solution integrates the Nanox.ARC system with their teleradiology services. Additionally, the company plans to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the future, enabling a seamless continuum from image capture to AI analysis and interpretation by trained radiologists.

Varex Imaging Corporation, with its extensive experience in medical X-ray imaging components, will manufacture and supply X-ray tubes for Nanox’s Nanox.ARC system. The agreement includes a revenue-sharing fee based on Nanox’s pay-per-scan revenue from Nanox.ARC systems worldwide.

Both companies are excited about the collaboration and the potential to advance medical imaging technology, reduce costs, and make a meaningful impact on global healthcare. Nanox’s CEO, Erez Meltzer, expressed pride in collaborating with Varex, a trusted and esteemed partner in medical imaging. Sunny Sanyal, CEO of Varex Imaging, emphasized their commitment to supporting Nanox’s vision and creating a fruitful and innovative journey together.

Nanox has already received a 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market the Nanox.ARC system, including its cloud-based infrastructure, as a stationary X-ray system for producing tomographic images of the human musculoskeletal system. The company has also installed Nanox.ARC systems in Nigeria, Morocco, and Ghana for demonstration and training purposes.

With their shared goal of improving global healthcare accessibility, Nanox and Varex are poised to revolutionize medical imaging technology and contribute to early detection of medical conditions through enhanced access to imaging services.
