LiveOne Collaborates with METAvivor Research and Support for #LightUpMBC Live Event

LiveOne, an award-winning music, entertainment, and technology platform, is joining forces with METAvivor Research and Support for the fifth annual #LightUpMBC Live event. This collaboration aims to raise awareness and funds for metastatic breast cancer research. The event will be livestreamed on October 13, 2023, in honor of National Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

#LightUpMBC Live will feature inspiring stories from metastatic breast cancer patients and captivating musical performances by renowned celebrities. Artists such as Marc Roberge (O.A.R), Bianca Marroquin (Chicago), Tony Award winner Ali Stroker (Oklahoma!), Christine Dwyer (Wicked), and Matt DeAngelis (Waitress) will be participating in this virtual extravaganza.

To create a global impact, over 275 landmarks across the United States, Canada, Australia, England, Ireland, and more will be illuminated in the distinctive MBC awareness colors of green, teal, and pink. Notable locations include One World Trade Center, Niagara Falls, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Cork City Hall in Ireland. Iconic sports destinations like Lincoln Financial Field, FTX Arena, and U.S. Bank Stadium are also joining the cause.

The event aims to raise crucial funds for metastatic breast cancer research, as a cure for this disease remains elusive. With over 685,000 annual global deaths from metastatic breast cancer, the need for research and support is more significant than ever.

Tami Eagle Bowling, MBC patient advocate and Creator and Producer of #LightUpMBC Live, emphasized the importance of research in extending moments with loved ones. Every dollar raised in this event will contribute to the race against time.

Robert Ellin, LiveOne CEO and Chairman, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that the company is thrilled to deliver an online spectacle to drive awareness and funding for metastatic breast cancer.

Jamil Rivers, METAvivor President, urged donations for crucial stage IV MBC research, emphasizing that it is the key to offering extensions to lives confronting this terminal illness.

To virtually attend the #LightUpMBC Live event, viewers can tune in on October 13th, starting at 8:30 pm ET / 5:30 pm PT on LiveOne.
