Leonardo DRS Sponsors “Stick It to Cancer” Fundraiser at AUSA Expo

Leonardo DRS, a leading provider of advanced defense technology, has announced its fifth year of sponsoring the “Stick It to Cancer” fundraiser at the United States Army (AUSA) expo in Washington, D.C. The event aims to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and support military members and their families affected by breast cancer.

Partnering with The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF), Leonardo DRS will donate to support breast cancer programs, including the Look Good, Feel Better program. This program helps active and retired military women, men, and family members affected by breast cancer improve their quality of life during and after treatment.

On October 10th, the Leonardo DRS booth at the AUSA expo will be “Going Pink” to encourage participants to join the fundraising effort and honor loved ones who have battled breast cancer. Attendees can pick up a copy of Defense News on October 9th, which will feature a breast cancer awareness sticker. By placing the sticker on the Wall of Heroes at the DRS exhibit, the company will donate $10 to HJF for each sticker, up to $20,000. Stickers will also be available at the DRS booth.

The Look Good, Feel Better program, a non-medical public service, teaches beauty techniques to individuals with breast cancer, helping them manage the appearance-related side effects of treatment. It provides lessons on skincare, cosmetics, wigs, and styling, offering a sense of normalcy during a challenging time.
