Keysight Technologies Introduces Breakthrough Phased Array Antenna Control and Calibration Solution

Keysight Technologies, a leading technology company, has unveiled its latest innovation, the Phased Array Antenna Control and Calibration solution. This breakthrough over-the-air (OTA) calibration and characterization solution is designed to assist satellite designers in rapidly testing their active electronically scanned arrays for satellite communications applications during early validation.

As satellite networks operate at higher frequencies and utilize active phased array antenna systems, the demand for ubiquitous connectivity and sensing requirements in next-generation satellite communication is on the rise. However, testing these highly integrated systems can be complex and time-consuming. To address this challenge, Keysight’s flexible measurement solution improves pointing accuracy and sidelobe rejection, reducing interference effects on phased array antennas by optimizing the frequency, gain, and phase response of active antenna array elements.

The Phased Array Antenna Control and Calibration solution is part of the Keysight Antenna Measurement Toolset, which provides engineers with a comprehensive set of antenna measurement tools. These tools enable a wide variety of non-signaling antenna measurements, including frequency response, polar or full spherical antenna patterns, and associated post-processing software for 2D and 3D graphical representation.
