Jose Mourinho FUMES at Anthony Taylor for ref’s ‘bull****’ display

Furious Jose Mourinho waits to tell Anthony Taylor he’s a ‘f***ing disgrace’ as he’s leaving the stadium after labelling the English ref’s Europa League final display ‘bulls***’ and claiming he ‘seemed Spanish’ in Roma’s defeat by Sevilla

Jose Mourinho has hit out at English referee Anthony Taylor for ‘seeming Spanish’ after his Roma side were beaten on penalties by Sevilla in the Europa League final in Budapest.

The Spanish side clinched a record extending seventh Europa League title after winning 4-1 in the shoot-out, following a 1-1 draw after extra time.

Taylor was forced to show multiple yellow cards during the match, while both benches were regularly seen protesting decisions in a bad tempered final.

Mourinho, who was booked in the closing minutes of extra time, hit out at Taylor’s performance in the final.

‘I want to stay at Roma,’ Mourinho said according to Sky Sport Italia. ‘But my players deserve more and I also deserve more.

‘I’m a little tired of being a coach, a man of communication, the face of the club that says we were robbed after every game. I’m tired of acting on every front.

‘Next year we won’t be playing the Champions League and that’s a good thing because we’re not made for it.

‘And let’s hope that Taylor, only officiates games in the Champions League and does the same bull**** there that he did tonight, and not in the Europa League.’

Mourinho added to the comments by claiming his former Tottenham player Erik Lamela should have been sent off for Sevilla in the closing stages of the match.

Lamela avoided a second yellow card for a foul in stoppage time at the end of extra time.

‘It was an intense, vibrant game with a referee who seemed Spanish,’ Mourinho said.

‘It was yellow, yellow, yellow all the time.

‘The injustice is shown by the fact Lamela should’ve had a second yellow, he didn’t, and he converted a penalty in the shoot-out.’

Seven Roma players were booked during the final, a record in the Europa League showpiece, with six members of the Sevilla side also shown yellow cards.

Taylor had also shown members of the Roma bench yellow cards during the match, including Mourinho.

The 60-year-old has been sent off three times in the Serie A season, while he will also miss Roma’s final match of the campaign due to receiving five bookings in the league.

Mourinho said he was yet to make a decision on his future at Roma, amid suggestions he could leave following his second season at the club.

‘I am going on vacation on Monday. If we have time to talk about it before Monday, we will,’ Mourinho said.

‘If not, I will go on vacation and then we’ll see. I have to fight for these lads and therefore not say objectively that I will remain.

‘I am a serious man. I told the owners a few months ago that if I had some contact with other clubs, they would be the first to know. I would always be honest and direct.

‘I spoke to the club in December when I had that approach from the Portuguese national team.

‘I have not had any contact with anyone else since then. I have a year left on my contract and this is the situation.’
