Harrah’s Las Vegas Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Specials and Upgrades

Harrah’s Las Vegas, one of the iconic resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a month-long birthday bash. The festivities include a modernized casino floor, renovated hotel rooms, new restaurants, and a range of special offers for guests to enjoy throughout October.

To kick off the celebrations, legendary entertainer Donny Osmond surprised his audience with a special birthday song dedicated to Harrah’s 50th anniversary. Osmond, who is currently headlining at Harrah’s, expressed his excitement about the milestone and promised that it would be the best year yet.

Since its opening in 1973 as the Holiday Casino, Harrah’s has become a staple in Las Vegas entertainment. After being acquired by casino pioneer William F. Harrah in 1992, the property underwent a transformation and became known as Harrah’s. Over the years, the Harrah’s brand has expanded to include 18 resorts in the Caesars Entertainment portfolio.

In recent years, Harrah’s Las Vegas has undergone significant enhancements, including renovations of guest rooms and common areas throughout the casino floor. The resort has also introduced several new restaurants led by celebrity chefs, such as Gordon Ramsay, Buddy Valastro, and Bobby Flay. Additionally, Harrah’s will soon unveil a multimillion-dollar redesign of its main entrance and porte-cochère, further enhancing the guest arrival experience.

As part of the anniversary-themed offerings, guests can participate in a social media sweepstakes by sharing their favorite Harrah’s Las Vegas experiences. The lucky winner will receive a two-night stay in a renovated suite, dining and spa credits, show tickets, and tickets to popular attractions like the High Roller Observation Wheel or FlyLINQ Zipline at The LINQ Promenade.

The celebrations continue at The Spa at Harrah’s Las Vegas, where guests can indulge in a tranquil atmosphere featuring a steam room, relaxation lounge, sauna, and state-of-the-art fitness equipment. Entertainment options include a variety of shows, including Donny Osmond’s residency, DONNY.

Food and beverage specials are also available throughout the month, allowing guests to savor exclusive anniversary menus and toast to Harrah’s Las Vegas’ 50th birthday.

Harrah’s Las Vegas has expanded its culinary lineup with new restaurants like Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay, PizzaCake by Buddy Valastro, and Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux. The recently opened The Lounge offers a cozy setting for guests to enjoy craft cocktails and curated spirits while watching their favorite sports teams on multiple TV screens.

For high-limit slot players, Harrah’s Las Vegas now features a modern High Limit Slot zone on the casino floor, offering a personalized gaming experience. The renovated Caesars Race & Sportsbook at Harrah’s provides sports fans with a luxurious environment to enjoy games on LED TV walls and place bets.

Dan Walsh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah’s Las Vegas, expressed gratitude to the loyal guests, community support, and dedicated team members who have contributed to the resort’s success over the past 50 years. He looks forward to celebrating with guests as Harrah’s continues to be a must-visit destination.
