Hailee Steinfeld is the epitome of chic during Storytellers panel chat at 2023 Tribeca
While the Tribeca Festival (formerly Tribeca Film Festival) is typically known for screening new films and series season debuts, fans and journalists can also get to know the actors and filmmakers behind the work in the Tribeca Talks – Storytellers program.
As the 2023 edition of the annual festival in New York City winds down, Hailee Steinfeld was among the stars to dish about her journey from child actor to bonafide movie star.
Actress, producer and comedian Ayo Edebiri played the role of host for the hour-long interview and panel Q-and-A that was held at the Indeed Theatre at Spring Studios in New York City.
Steinfeld put her best fashion foot forward as she posed for photographers in a chic blue suede suit.
She tucked a plunging black silk blouse into the waistband of her tapered pants and stood on tall black heels.

The actress had her long brunette tresses pulled back off her face and into a sleek bun.
Steinfeld began acting at the ripe young age of 10, appearing in several short films, including playing the role of Talia Alden in the award-winning She’s A Fox (2009).
And then, later that same year, she landed her breakout role in the Western film True Grit (2010), for which she delivered a breakthrough performance, alongside such Hollywood heavyweights as Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, Josh Brolin and Barry Pepper
It went on to earn 10 Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, Best Director for Joel and Ethan Cohen, and Best Actress In A Supporting Role for Steinfeld, although it failed to win any Oscars.
Her Hollywood resume also includes such films as the musical comedy-drama Begin Again (2013), the science-fiction action Ender’s Game (2013), the action-thrill 3 Days To Kill (2014),and the coming-of-age drama The Edge Of Seventeen (2016).
Making headway as an actress she has since starred in the musical comedy Pitch Perfect 3 (2017), the science-fiction action Bumblebee (2018), and the voice role of Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse (2018), which is the first animated film in the Spider-Man franchise, which went on to win an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2019.
More recently, the young star played leading lady in Apple TV+’s hit original comedy-drama series Dickinson (2019-2021), which earned her a coveted 2020 Peabody Award.
Along with being an Oscar-nominated actress, Steinfeld is also a multi-platinum recording musician and producer.

Described as ‘a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry’ in the Tribeca Festival website, the actress has been out in promo mode over the last month talking up the sequel to Into the Spider-Verse, in the new superhero computer-animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023).
Directed by the trio of Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, the computer-animated film also has voice roles by the likes of Shameik Moore, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Vélez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Shea Whigham, Greta Lee, Daniel Kaluuya, Mahershala Ali and Oscar Isaac.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse made its widespread premiere on June 2.
Founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff in 2002, the Tribeca Festival (formerly Tribeca Film Festival) showcases a diverse selection of film, episodic, talks, music, games, art, and immersive programming, each spring in New York City.
This go-around the annual festival kicked-off on June 7 and goes through until Sunday, June 18.
