Foremost Lithium to Complete LiDAR Surveying on Peg North Property

Foremost Lithium Resource & Technology Ltd., a leading North American hard-rock lithium exploration company, has announced that EarthEx Geophysical Solutions Inc. will commence LiDAR surveying at the Company’s Peg North property starting the week of October 9, 2023. This survey marks the completion of LiDAR and high-resolution magnetics data collection across Foremost’s “Lithium Lane” properties in the Snow Lake area, including Jean Lake, Grass River, Zoro, and Peg North.

The utilization of aerial drone surveys, including LiDAR and drone-borne magnetics, allows Foremost Lithium to gain a comprehensive understanding of the structural details both above and below the surface. This data will enable the company to prioritize the best targets for future drilling, enhancing the effectiveness of their exploration program.

The LiDAR survey on the Peg North claim block will provide valuable information on depth to source, dip of the body, and the overall shape and morphology of the lithological unit. The combination of previously flown magnetics and LiDAR data has already revealed significant features, including structures that align with known pegmatite occurrences and topographic expressions indicating the presence of resistant bodies like pegmatites.

Jason Barnard, President and CEO of Foremost Lithium, expressed the importance of completing the LiDAR surveying over their Lithium Lane properties. He emphasized that this approach, coupled with the detailed magnetic data collected by EarthEx, will enable the company to define high-quality drilling targets based on magnetic signatures.

Daniel Card, President, and Chief Geophysicist of EarthEx, highlighted the excellent correlation between the acquired magnetic and LiDAR datasets and known pegmatites on the property. This correlation serves as a powerful tool for generating high-quality drilling targets and further exploration.

Foremost Lithium’s Peg North property has already shown promising results, with a 3km long discontinuity in the northeast that may provide pathways suitable for mineralization. An MMI survey conducted by Dahrouge Geological Consulting in the area has been completed, with assay results pending.

With its strategic location and extensive land package in Snow Lake, Manitoba, Foremost Lithium is well-positioned to become a premier supplier of North America’s lithium feedstock. As the world transitions towards decarbonization, the company aims to play a significant role in the production of high-quality lithium hydroxide to support the growing demand for lithium-based batteries.
