Esmark Steel Group Expands Presence in Mexican Market with New Business Entity

Esmark Steel Group, a leading processor and distributor of value-added flat-rolled steel, has announced the establishment of a new business entity, Esmark Steel International, to cater to the Mexican industrial steel market. The subsidiary, located in Monclova, Coahuila, will focus on supplying flat rolled steel products to customers in various sectors such as construction, metal products, rail cars, automotive machinery, tin plate, and electrical equipment.

Heading the operations of Esmark Steel International is Luis Landois, a highly experienced professional with over 30 years of expertise in the Mexican steel and industrial markets. Landois, who holds a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.B.A., will report to Esmark Steel Group CEO Roberto Alvarez. The new subsidiary aims to provide reliable and continuous supply of products, along with localized service and North American origin, to meet the growing demands of the Mexican market.

Monclova, known for its rail car fabrication and energy industry, has attracted operating equipment manufacturers and fabricators due to its abundant material availability and skilled workforce. The city is also home to the automotive industry, specializing in the fabrication of truck frames and trailers. The establishment of Esmark Steel International in Monclova is expected to further strengthen the region’s industrial capabilities and create a long-standing partnership with the local community.
