Epic celebrity baby reveals after Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker pregnancy

Kourtney Kardashian stunned fans when she announced her pregnancy with Travis Barker at his Blink-182 concert.

The media personality, 44, revealed her baby news earlier this month as she held up a sign reading ‘Travis, I’m pregnant!’ while she stood in the crowd at his LA show.

The reveal was inspired by Blink-182’s music video for their 1999 hit All The Small Things, which sees a bikini-clad woman announcing she is pregnant by holding up a sign at a show. 

But Kourtney is not the only star to divulge the news that she is expecting in a very dramatic way, as Rihanna recently shocked fans by revealing her bump at the Super Bowl.

So, which famous mothers have had the most outlandish celebrity baby reveals and iconic pregnancy moments? 

RIHANNA’S SURPRISE SUPER BOWL REVEAL

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are well-versed when it comes to revealing their pregnancies in dramatic ways.

With their first child, the pair kept the pregnancy a secret for a long time, before Rihanna confirmed the news on the streets of New York in an open pink Chanel puffer coat, showing off her bare bump.

Then, with their second, they kept the bump private until Rihanna performed at the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show in February.

Taking to the stage for the first time since 2018, Rihanna walked out in a red Loewe jumpsuit, zipped down to reveal her growing baby bump, and Alaïa puffer coat.

The singer, 35, left fans completely gobsmacked as she used her hotly-anticipated comeback show to also confirm her baby news, sending the crowds into a complete frenzy.

Rihanna is now counting down the days until she welcomes her second child with ASAP, and has often been spotted out and about sweetly showing off her bump in very fashionable ensembles.

BEYONCE’S ICONIC LINGERIE SHOOT 

Beyonce revealed her second pregnancy with an iconic lingerie shoot back in 2017, which caused a huge stir when she shared it to Instagram at the time.

She further surprised her fans when she confirmed she was expecting twins with her husband Jay-Z, after they welcomed their first child Blue Ivy in 2012.

In an extravagant announcement, Beyonce donned a veil and silk underwear against a backdrop of gorgeous flowers to announce her twin pregnancy.

Alongside the snap, she gushed: ‘We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. 

‘We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters.’

The ethereal post quickly garnered huge attention on social media and became one of the most iconic celebrity baby reveals ever.

… AND BEYONCE’S VMAS BABY REVEAL

Before Beyonce’s second iconic pregnancy reveal, the star had already shocked fans when announcing she was expecting her first child – Blue Ivy, now 11.

Back in 2011, Beyonce revealed her first pregnancy while she was on-stage, performing her hit single Love On Top at the 2011 Video Music Awards (VMA’s).

She took to the stage in a purple sequinned jacket, which she wore buttoned up over a white shirt and smart black trousers.

But at the end of the song the singer literally ‘mic dropped’ and unbuttoned the jacket to proudly reveal her new bump, sending the crowds wild.

She confirmed her baby news on-stage by saying: ‘I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me.’ 

DEMI MOORE’S ICONIC VANITY FAIR COVER

Demi Moore arguably had one of the most famous celebrity pregnancy photoshoots of all time with her iconic Vanity Fair cover.

At the time, Demi’s August 1991 cover shoot, photographed by Annie Leibovitz, shocked the world and was even censored at some newstands, but it has since become one of the most iconic celebrity magazine covers of all time.

She posed on the cover naked cradling her blossoming baby bump while she was seven months pregnant with daughter Scout – her second child with Bruce Willis.

Demi kickstarted the trend for pregnancy photoshoots, inspired other stars to pose nude while pregnant over the years, including the likes of Mariah Carey, Britney Spears and Cindy Crawford.

The actress has since spoken about the iconic shoot, admitting it was originally just intended to be a personal shot for her family, rather than a magazine cover.

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in 2019, Demi shared: ‘It was one they did for me and the family and I said wouldn’t it be amazing if they had the courage to put me on the cover.’

‘And they called back and wanted to do it,’ she added of the photograph, which was the first of its kind to be seen on a major magazine cover.

‘I think it was an important moment… that changed the way we look at women when they’re pregnant,’ she added.

KARLIE KLOSS’ MET GALA ANNOUNCEMENT

Karlie Kloss memorably confirmed her second pregnancy by debuting her baby bump at fashion’s biggest night of the year – the Met Gala.

The supermodel, 30, showed off her growing baby bump for the first time as she stormed the star-studded red carpet in a glamorous black gown.

She looked incredible in the skintight ensemble, which clung to her figure to reveal her baby bump.

Karlie was joined on the red carpet by her businessman husband Joshua Kushner, 37, who gazed lovingly at her as they posed for photographs.

The couple welcomed their first child – son Levi, who is now two – in March 2021. 

… AND SERENA WILLIAMS’ MET GALA MOMENT

Karlie was not the only star to reveal her baby news at the 2023 Met Gala, as Serena Williams also seized the opportunity to make an announcement of her own.

The tennis pro, 41, revealed she is expecting her second child with her husband Alexis Ohanian as they made a joint appearance at the star-studded affair.

Serena proudly showed off her prominent baby bump as she walked the red carpet at Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

After her glitzy pregnancy reveal, Serena also took to Instagram to post about her exciting baby news, giving fans a look at her stunning Gucci dress.

‘Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala,’ she playfully captioned her post. 

Serena welcomed her first child, a daughter named Alexis Olympia Jr, back in 2017, but the youngster goes by Olympia.

JLO’S SWEET ON-STAGE MOMENT

Jennifer Lopez confirmed she was pregnant on stage during her concert stop in Miami of her El Cantante Tour back in 2007.

The singer, 53, announced she was expecting her first child with her then-husband Marc Anthony on the very final night of her tour.

As Marc joined her on stage, she told how she hadn’t wanted their exciting news to ‘take away’ from the tour as she excitedly told her fans about her baby news. 

‘Marc and I are expecting a baby!’ the glowing singer announced. ‘We didn’t want to say anything before because we didn’t want to take away from the tour.’

‘This is a special time in our lives. And we waited until the last show to tell you,’ she added as Marc rubbed and kissed her stomach.

Months later, in February 2008, Jennifer then gave birth to their twins Max and Emme Muniz, now 15.

KYLIE JENNER’S SECRET PREGNANCY

Kylie Jenner’s fans were shocked and surprised when she announced the birth of her first child – despite never revealing she was pregnant.

Keeping her pregnancy shrouded in secret, Kylie confirmed she had given birth to her daughter Stormi in a 13-minute-long video shared to social media in February 2018.

After months of speculation, she confirmed that she and Travis Scott had welcomed a baby girl, breaking the internet with their shock announcement.

Kylie had shared a photograph of herself clutching her daughter Stormi’s hand, which instantly broke IG records for most-liked photo of all time, raking up over 13.6million likes by noon that day. 

‘My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world,’ she explained in an accompanying caption.

As well as her Instagram post, she shared a YouTube video, titled ‘to our daughter’, which documented her secret pregnancy journey. 

KATY PERRY’S MUSIC VIDEO REVEAL 

Katy Perry kept her baby news quiet for some time before confirming she was expecting her first child with Orlando Bloom in a music video.

The singer, 38, sneakily debuted her baby bump right at the end of her music video for her track Never Worn White, which was released in March 2020.

Waiting right until the end of the video to confirm the news, Katy cradled her baby bump in a glamorous white gown in a sweet moment.

After the video was released, Katy took to Twitter to address her pregnancy announcement, admitting she was pleased not to have to keep it a secret anymore.

She penned: ‘Omg so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore, or carry around a big purse lol.’

Katy and Orlando, who began dating in 2016 and later got engaged in 2019, later welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, in August 2020.

CARDI B’S SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE MOMENT

Cardi B announced that she was expecting a baby with partner Offset during her Saturday Night Live performance back in 2018. 

The singer debuted her song Be Careful in a ruched white gown that hugged her new bump on stage. 

After keeping the pregnancy a secret for so long, she said as she walked offstage: ‘I’m finally free.’

Cardi B welcomed her daughter Kulture, four, in July 2018, and she later confirmed her second pregnancy on stage in 2021.

At the BET Awards, her husband Offset’s rap trio Migos took to the stage to perform two of their hits, and were joined by Cardi B to perform Type Sh*t.

Her appearance wasn’t the only surprise for the crowd as Cardi B used the platform to confirm her second pregnancy, wearing a diamond encrusted jumpsuit with sheer material over the belly to show her baby bump. 

MICHAEL BUBLE’S SWEET CAMEO

Michael Buble sweetly revealed his wife Luisana Lopilato was expecting their fourth child in his music video for I’ll Never Not Love You.

Confirming the news in February 2022, actress Luisana made a cameo in Michael’s music video along with their three children.

In the closing scenes of the video, she revealed a growing baby bump as she visited a supermarket with her husband.

In short teaser clips of the music video, Michael had left fans in suspense as he played on the ‘how it started’ vs. ‘how it’s going’ troupe, before the big reveal. 

The music video is a love story dedicated to the first time they met on set of the production for Haven’t Met You Yet. 

Michael said of the video at the time: ‘Haven’t Met You Yet was the beautiful start of a true romance. 

‘Ten years later, the story continues in the extraordinary sequel I’ll Never Not Love You, 2.22.22.’

The loved-up couple got engaged in 2009 and then tied the knot two years later in 2011.

The couple welcomed their fourth child Cielo Yoli Rose in August 2022, and they also share kids Noah, eight, Elias, six, and three-year-old Vida.
