Enphase Energy Expands Solar Markets in Sweden and Denmark with 1KOMMA5° Partnership

Enphase Energy, a global energy technology company, has announced its entry into the solar markets in Sweden and Denmark through an expanded agreement with German-based climate tech startup 1KOMMA5°. This partnership will offer Enphase Energy Systems, powered by IQ8 Microinverters and IQ Batteries, to homeowners in these countries.

Enphase and 1KOMMA5° have previously collaborated to extend Enphase’s presence in Germany and other European markets. Now, with the expanded agreement, Enphase’s industry-leading IQ8 Microinverters and IQ Batteries will be seamlessly integrated into 1KOMMA5°’s proprietary energy IoT system called Heartbeat, becoming part of their virtual power plant.

The Enphase IQ8 Microinverters are designed to support the latest higher-powered solar modules, maximizing energy production with a continuous DC current of 14 amperes. The three new microinverters – IQ8MC, IQ8AC, and IQ8HC – offer peak output power ranging from 330VA to 384VA and can be paired with a full range of solar modules up to 560W DC. Additionally, all IQ8 Microinverters activated in Denmark and Sweden come with a 25-year limited warranty.

The Enphase Energy System with IQ Batteries provides homeowners with configurations ranging from 3.5kWh to an aggregate 42kWh, allowing for system upgrades throughout its lifetime. The Enphase IQ Batteries feature Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery chemistry, ensuring a long cycle life and smooth operation. These batteries also offer over-the-air software upgrades for enhanced longevity and come with a 15-year limited warranty in select European countries, including Sweden and Denmark.
