Caterpillar Raises Record $14.8 Million in United Way Campaign
Caterpillar Inc., a global leader in construction and mining equipment, has once again demonstrated its commitment to making a positive impact in communities worldwide. Through the collective efforts of its employees, retirees, and the Caterpillar Foundation, the company has raised an impressive $14.8 million for United Way chapters across the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Panama as part of its 2023-2024 campaign.
This remarkable achievement marks a record-breaking amount for the second consecutive year, with a $1 million increase from the previous campaign. The generosity of Caterpillar’s employees and retirees is truly commendable, as they not only donated to the United Way campaign but also dedicated over 5,000 volunteer hours through the Caterpillar Foundation Volunteer Service Match Program during August and September. These volunteer hours will generate additional matching funds for charities in Caterpillar communities, further amplifying the positive impact.

The Caterpillar Foundation plays a vital role in this initiative by matching employee and retiree donations dollar for dollar. Over the past two decades, this annual campaign has raised more than $210 million, demonstrating Caterpillar’s longstanding commitment to making a difference in the lives of individuals in need.
The United Way, a renowned nonprofit organization, assesses local community needs, identifies efficient programs that deliver measurable outcomes, and works towards eliminating those needs by addressing their root causes and creating long-term solutions.
