Busch Gardens Parks Set to Thrill Visitors with New Attractions in 2024

Busch Gardens parks in Tampa and Williamsburg are gearing up to provide an unforgettable experience for thrill-seekers in 2024. With the introduction of two record-breaking attractions, these parks are solidifying their position as leaders in the world of roller coasters.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will unveil “Phoenix Rising,” a suspended roller coaster that promises to deliver a blaze of excitement. Set to become the park’s tenth coaster, “Phoenix Rising” will take riders on a thrilling journey above the Serengeti Plain and through the vibrant Pantopia region. With its innovative design allowing for swinging side-to-side motion, this family-friendly coaster will provide an exhilarating experience for all. What’s more, it will be the first coaster to feature on-board audio, enhancing the ride with a unique soundtrack. Families can look forward to soaring through the air at speeds of up to 44 miles per hour on this 1,831-feet long adventure. Busch Gardens Annual Pass Holders will have the exclusive opportunity to be among the first to experience “Phoenix Rising” in the spring of 2024.

Meanwhile, Busch Gardens Williamsburg will celebrate the 46th anniversary of its iconic attraction, the “Loch Ness Monster,” with a full restoration. This world’s first interlocking loop coaster will receive new elements, enhanced storytelling, and innovative effects, ensuring a fresh and thrilling experience for riders. With over 900 feet of track being replaced, guests will be treated to new sights, sounds, and surprises as they journey through the Scottish terrain. The restoration will also feature an enhanced queue experience and a specially created soundtrack to accompany the lift hill climb. As riders plummet over 100 feet, they will catch a glimpse of something monstrous lurking beneath the water. Speeding through two interlocking vertical loops at up to 60 miles per hour, thrill-seekers will then traverse a spiraling tunnel and come face-to-face with the monster in a shadowy cave lair. After one final turn, the train will return to the station, completing the exhilarating adventure.

Busch Gardens Annual Pass Holders and Members will have the exclusive opportunity to ride the original “Loch Ness Monster” before it temporarily closes on November 5, 2023. This unique privilege allows them to experience the coaster’s classic thrills one last time before its restoration.

Marc Swanson, Chief Executive Officer of SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, expressed his excitement about the new additions, stating, “For several decades, we have committed to delivering great thrills and one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests. We are excited to continue fulfilling that promise with both the addition of ‘Phoenix Rising’ and the restoration of ‘Loch Ness Monster’.”

To make the most of these thrilling attractions and enjoy a year-round adventure, visitors are encouraged to purchase a Busch Gardens Annual Pass or Membership. With unbeatable benefits, including unlimited admission, free parking, and monthly rewards, pass holders can experience all the excitement these parks have to offer.
