Brunswick Exploration Discovers New Spodumene-Bearing Pegmatite at Elrond Project

Brunswick Exploration Inc. has made an exciting new discovery at its Elrond Project in the Eeyou-Istchee James Bay region of Quebec. The company has uncovered a previously undocumented spodumene-bearing pegmatite, known as the Arwen showing. This discovery adds to Brunswick Exploration’s growing portfolio of lithium prospects in the area.

The Arwen showing is a spodumene-bearing pegmatite outcrop, measuring approximately 250 meters by 100 meters, with a shallow dip to the north. The pegmatite remains open in all directions, indicating the potential for further discoveries. The higher-grade zone within the showing contains up to 30% spodumene and spans approximately 75 by 15 meters. The spodumene crystals, which have been confirmed through LIBS analysis, are well-formed and reach lengths of up to 30 centimeters.

This new discovery follows Brunswick Exploration’s successful large-scale lithium find at Mirage and the exploration success at Anatacau with the Anais showing. The company plans to drill test both the Anais and Arwen showings in 2024, alongside the ongoing drilling campaign at Mirage.

The Elrond Project, where the Arwen showing was discovered, is part of the Mythril Option agreement with Midland Exploration Inc. Under this agreement, Brunswick Exploration can earn a maximum of 85% interest in the project.

In addition to the Elrond Project, Brunswick Exploration is actively drilling at the Mirage project. To date, they have drilled 15 holes, intersecting significant spodumene-bearing pegmatites in 12 of them. Assay results from the Mirage drilling campaign are expected in the second half of October.

Mr. Killian Charles, President and CEO of Brunswick Exploration, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s ongoing exploration success in the James Bay region. He highlighted the growing importance of the area as a prospective hard rock lithium region and emphasized the company’s commitment to advancing their extensive grassroots lithium property portfolio in Canada.

Brunswick Exploration’s scientific and technical information has been reviewed and approved by Mr. François Goulet, a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

As Brunswick Exploration continues its exploration efforts, the company remains focused on contributing to the global decarbonization and energy transition through the discovery and development of critical metals like lithium.
