Ashley Cole is married! Former footballer ties the knot with Sharon Canu in intimate
Ashley Cole married his partner Sharon Canu in an intimate Italian ceremony over the weekend and a host of celebrity pals were invited.
The couple said ‘I do’ abroad in front of family and friends – including Frank and Christine Lampard, John Terry and Sam Faiers and her partner Paul Knightley.
The nuptials come 12 years after his four year marriage to pop star Cheryl, 40, ended.
Sharon and Ashley, 42, share son Jaxon, six, and four-year-old daughter Grace, and the pair confirmed their engagement last year after they first met in 2014.
Friends and family were invited to the Hotel La Vecchia Posta in Ladispoli to take part in the celebrations which included a fireworks display and a live orchestra.

The pair exchanged vows in the romantic setting under a flower arch as the ocean stretched out behind them before they then walked back down the aisle.
A number of guests shared images and videos of the wedding on social media where Sharon stunned in a lace off the shoulder dress.
Meanwhile Ashley beamed from ear to ear as they had confetti thrown on them and held hands.
A source told The Sun earlier this month about the wedding: ‘Ashley and Sharon are madly in love and have spent months planning their special day.
‘They met in 2014 when he joined AS Roma and now they are returning to the city for their nuptials.
‘Loads of her family live there and it’s very romantic – it’s going to be a very special day. They have put lots of money into it but they have only invited close friends and family.
‘As a couple they have been very private so they don’t feel the need for a flashy, public wedding.’
Sharon celebrated her final days as a single lady with an epic hen party in Ibiza last month.
The model soaked up the sun as she partied with a huge group of pals including reality star Sam Faiers, 32.

Former TOWIE star Sam also shared a hilarious selfie on Instagram of the group on the plane wearing masks with Ashley Cole’s face on them.
The group also posed before boarding the flight as they donned matching tracksuits that read ‘Team bride’.
Mother-of-three Sam beamed with smiles on her sunny trip with her best friends as she posed for a picture as they shared a hug.
Between the hen’s, Sam revealed that the girl’s shared 21 kids between them and danced to the song 21 seconds by So Solid Crew in a video she shared on her Instagram story.
She captioned her posts: ‘Thursday we flew to Ibiza for our @sharoncanu hen party.
‘I’ve not long got home, we had the best time.
‘We laughed, danced and sang the whole time (I have no voice left) Love you all so much.
‘The moment we realised we have 21 kids between us… there was only one song for the moment. #mumsontheloose.’
Sharon beamed in a slew of snaps shared to social media that saw the ladies enjoy a lavish boat ride followed by cocktails.
She later slipped into a silver fringed mini-dress which she teamed with a bejewelled bride hat.

Sharon was surprised with her apartment decorated with photographs from her life.
An emotional Sharon wrote: ‘Also cried with Joy. Seeing all those pictures of my life made me realise how far I’ve gone and all the beautiful things I’ve achieved. So grateful.’
After Ashley popped the question last year, Sharon later told Instagram followers it was the ‘easiest yes she’d ever said’.
The couple met in 2014, shortly after his move to Roma from Chelsea, before relocating to Los Angeles two years later.
