Alicia Keys‘ son, Genesis, stood guard onstage to protect her during her concert in Salt Lake City over the weekend.
On Monday, the singer’s husband, Swizz Beatz, shared a series of photos of their youngest son, eight, safeguarding her as she performed in front of a large crowd of concertgoers.
‘He heard how people been acting at shows lately,’ the rapper — whose full name is Kasseem Daoud Dean — had written over the snaps of Genesis.
‘My boy serious in real life,’ he explained his son’s reasoning for standing onstage with the 42-year-old Girl On Fire hitmaker — who recently opened up about her decision to stop wearing makeup in 2016.
Amid the increasing pattern of unruly fans throwing things at artists onstage, Genesis was seen with a serious expression in the photos as he kept his mom out of harm’s way.
