He posted images of the single-sheet of paper folded in half next to a cup of coffee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The motion was &#8216;declaring the office of Speaker of the <a target=\"_blank\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/us-house-of-representatives\/index.html\" id=\"mol-e50a1c50-57bb-11ee-a2a5-05c78f4eced0\" rel=\"noopener\">House of Representatives<\/a> to be vacant,&#8217; and included a draft date of September 15, 2023 at 11:22 a.m. \u2013 just three days after Speaker McCarthy announced the opening of the impeachment inquiry into President <a target=\"_blank\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/joe-biden\/index.html\" id=\"mol-e4dd8e10-57bb-11ee-a2a5-05c78f4eced0\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe Biden<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), a fellow MAGA lawmaker, assured there were no threats against McCarthy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The first impeachment proceedings are set for next Thursday in the House Oversight Committee, which is chaired by Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.).<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">By launching an inquiry, House investigators are given expanded abilities, including a heightened power to subpoena.
