Ukraine: Crosetto sees exponential increase in attacks – English

(ANSA) – ROME, JAN 20 – Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said
Friday at a meeting of countries supporting Ukraine that Russian
ground attacks would increase exponentially in the coming weeks
to match the hail of missiles that has been raining down on the
country for weeks.
   
“Every day is important to resolve the ongoing crisis,” he said
at Ramstein in Germany, at a meeting of the Contact Group for
Ukraine’s Defence.
   
“We expect over the coming weeks a harshening of the war with an
exponential rise of ground attacks which will join the missile
attacks made by Russia in the most recent period”.
   
Crosetto noted that Moscow had recently trained over 300,000 new
recruits. (ANSA).
