Tom Sandoval spotted leaving celebrity hotspot The Fleur Room solo… after bringing new girlfriend Tii to the house he still shares with ex Ariana Madix

Tom Sandoval, the verified villain of Vanderpump Rules, was spotted leaving the celeb hot spot The Fleur Room in West Hollywood on Friday night.

The Tom Tom co-owner, 40, kept his head down as he exited the establishment.

The reality TV personality — who called Rachel Leviss ‘petty’ after she blocked him on Instagram — wore a black, red blue, and green striped cardigan over a scoop-neck black T-shirt and black pants.

A black ball cap sat on his head and he kept comfortable in a pair of sneakers.

The Schwartz and Sandy’s co-owner is still experiencing backlash for his affair with Rachel Leviss, 29, while he was in a decade-long relationship with Ariana Madix, 38.

This week, Sandoval came under fire for bringing his current flame, singer Tii, 25, to the house he shares with Ariana.

After his breakup. he has continued to reside at the same Valley Village home with Madix. The former couple purchased the farmhouse-style home together for $2 million in 2019.

The Dancing with the Stars contestant appeared on Scheana Shay‘s podcast and explained that she would not ‘f**k [herself] over’ by making any rash decisions.

‘I have never been someone who came from money. I know how quickly that goes away. I’m taking care of myself,’ she explained.

‘A lot of people on the internet seem to think I’m rolling in money right now. I have a lot of places where that money has to go before I get [it],’ she continued.

Despite living with Sandoval, the actress made it clear that she keeps their interactions to a minimum.

‘I have a pretty decent setup,’ she said. ‘My room is kind of like my little apartment… I stay in my own little zone.’

Madix revealed that she keeps her door ‘locked just in case’ and sleeps ‘easier at night not giving a f**k when he comes in that door.’

‘Yes, we’re in the same house, but I don’t have to think about [him],’ the former bartender told listeners.

Earlier this week she also explained in a comment on an Instagram post that she’s not in a rush to disrupt the lives of her dog and elderly cat.

‘I live in my home that I own while working with my lawyer and financial advisors to navigate the best path forward before uprooting my dog and my elderly cat and causing more trauma for the three of us,’ she told a follower.

And Madix has moved on from her ex and is currently dating Daniel Wai, who Shay absolutely gushed about.

‘You’re with someone for the first time — that I’ve personally ever seen — who supports you, who’s happy to help you and empower you and also take a backseat and just f**king let you shine,’ Shay praised.

Follow Mail Sport’s live blog for all the latest as England face Argentina in their opening game of the Rugby World Cup, hoping to put their difficult preparations behind them.

Errors costing Argentina

48′ – We know what Argentina are capable of, but they’re not shwoing it tonight and silly mistakes are making their hopes turn to dust so far.

Seven handling errors from Michael Cheika’s side compared to England’s two. On the world stage, the finest of margins are going to win games and you can’t be giving the ball up so easily.

England 15-3: George Ford converts penalty!

46′ – George Ford has hit 15 points for the night as he converts another penalty to rub salt in the wounds of Argentina.

Steve Borthwick’s men have started this half in the vein they left off and that’s exactly what they need to do. A 12-point lead is more comfortable but keeping the pressure on is a good idea.

England make progress

45′ – Lawes has been immense leading England tonight and gets on the end of a deflected kick from Earl.

First scrum of the second half

42′ – Ben Earl breaks away from the first scrum after the break and England are looking to make progress up the pitch. Carreras goes over the top of Jonny May in the air after a kick up and it’s not a clea catch.

A look back on Ford’s impact with Mallia

Despite the euphoria suddenly enveloping England, there will be one man coming away from the first half feeling rather hard done by: Tom Curry.

His collision with Juan Cruz Mallia has inevitably sparked debate but there’s a certainly a valid argument to say he should not have been dismissed.

As pictured, it left Mallia worse for wear. And that’s how Argentina are looking as a whole after a stellar performance from England, who have really grown into the game.

Half-time thoughts from Chris Foy

‘What a half from England. They go off to an ovation, which is richly deserved. They not only showed character in adversity; they were canny too. George Ford has had this game in the palm of his hand so far – or on the top of his right boot to be more accurate. The second drop goal was astonishing. Courtney Lawes has been immense too and all the players are rising to this big occasion. How refreshing to witness such a positive English performance after a summer of setbacks and frustrations.’

England 12-3 Argentina: Steve Borthwick’s men enter half-time storming ahead

Half-time is upon us and it’s hard not to be speechless at what we’ve just seen.

George Ford has stolen the show. England close out the half winning the scrum and looked well on top here.

Argentina struggling to make inroads

39′ – Argentina have not made any use of the extra man here. They’re hardly getting up the pitch anymore after a decent start.

England 12-3 Argentina: George Ford with a drop goal… again!

37′ – Can you believe what we’re seeing here?

After going a man down, England have transformed into a super combative and flair-filled side. And George Ford is at the centre of it all.

Yet another drop goal for Ford, his third of the night and a joint-English record.

Photos of Ford in his element

Chris Foy on England’s turnaround despite being a man down

‘What England have already succeeded in doing here is getting their fans right behind them with this spirited effort in adversity. The noise when George Ford just landed a second drop goal – from halfway – was deafening. England have Argentina rattled, ever since the turnover penalty won by Courtney Lawes in front of his own posts. At the moment, this is heroic.’

Chris Foy is one of our correspondents in the Stade Velodrome tonight.

England 9-3 Argentina: Another drop goal from Ford!

31′ – again he’s at it! The man loves a drop goal, and so do England Ford hits it over from 50 metres out and puts England 9-3 ahead.

England 6-3 Argentina: drop goal from George Ford

28′ – against expectations, England take the lead with a drop goal from Ford!

Mitchell box kick doesn’t pay off

25′ – Mitchell tries a kick but once again it doesn’t have the accuracy and Argentina reclaim the ball unchallenged. England are kicking a lot tonight, but not to much avail.

England win ball back

24′ – Argentina get going again but England defend well and get their hands on the ball. Big moment from Courtney Lawes there.

Argentina knock-on under review after ball goes over line

23′ There’s a potential knock-on from Argentina’s Thomas Gallo after they came furiously close to scoring a try. It’s under review.

Argentina in a dangerous position here

22′ – Argentina win a turnover and kick into the corner, right on England’s line. This is a threat.

Mail Sport’s Chris Foy on the first quarter

‘What a chaotic start to this match and now England find themselves in a hole after Curry’s red card. But this sort of scenario has tended to bring the best out of them in the last couple of years so they need to resurrect that defiant streak here. They have certainly found a slight semblance of attacking rhythm in the last few minutes, with 14 men.’

Carreras comes back on as his yellow card is not upgraded

20′ – Ford probed with a kick but it’s too long and Argentina catch.

Play is stopped as Carreras comes back on and his card has not been upgraded.

England show good agility on the attack

19′ – England have shown a bit of pace and industry in attack there and made some inroads into Argentina. Ben Earl kicks lightly forward for a chase but the attack breaks down.

First scrum of the game for England

15′ – with the ball on the half-way line and Argentina one man down on the backs with Carreras under card review, there is a lot of space here for England to exploit.

And… it results in a free-kick for Argentina.

Uphill battle for England after first red card at the World Cup

12′ – having lost their openside flanker in Tom Curry, England will have to adapt fast as they find themselves on the painful end of a dismissal.

That’s the first red card at the World Cup.

Tom Curry is sent off!

Tom Curry has bene dismissed ten minutes in after he was upgraded to a red card.

England 3-3 Argentina: George Ford levels with penalty

Ford converts his penalty with both teams currently down to 14.

Santiago yellow under review after slamming into George Ford

9′ – Santiago Carreras slammed into George Ford and the foul play review officer is busy. That looked awful.

He’s been given a yellow but it could be upgraded.

England 0-3 Argentina: Boffelli misses second penalty

7′ – England gave away another penalty – you can’t do that against Boffelli as he’s so good over the ball – but in a rare moment of grace he spares England’s blushes with a miss.

England 0-3 Argentina Emiliano Boffelli converts penalty

Emiliano Boffelli scores a penalty and after a bright start for England. they’re down 3-0.

3′ – yellow card under review for Tom Curry after head clash with Juan Cruz Mallia

England claim ball and kick upfield

England’s defensive wall holds up

Argentina haven’t done much so far and it has been a solid start from England with the Pumas forced to kick to try and break through.

And we’re underway!

Argentina get us going as chants ring around the Stade Velodrome.

Not long now…

England fan on crowd chaos: ‘It was an abject disaster… 67,000 people funnelled through a single staircase’

Fans have been telling Chris Foy of their experiences outside the stadium in the build-up to England vs Argentina.

One England fan who had to endure a long, fraught battle to enter the stadium said: ‘Just got to our seats. It was an abject disaster. No signage. No people to direct – 67,000 people funnelled through a single staircase. Elbows everywhere. And then when you get inside, the sections are poorly labelled. We found ours by accident.’

Argentina head coach Michael Cheika on his integration into the Pumas family

Argentina head coach Michael Cheika has given his thoughts ahead of the game. Cheika has had a varied career across both codes of rugby and now he’s back at the World Cup with a different team.

‘I feel extremely connected to this bunch of guys, he said, speaking of his adaptation into the Pumas community. ‘I feel part of the family. It’s great to be here with them.’

Fans and journalists outside the ground are sending in their images and footage as they struggle to make progress into the ground.

More footage of the chaos outside the stadium

Here’s a video from another Twitter user.

Chris Foy has written: ‘Hope they sort this mess out soon. Hordes of fans trying to enter the stadium and the crush is getting worse. Just saw one guy who had made it through the gates punching the air in relief.’

An update from the crush outside the staidum from Chris Foy

‘Serious problems outside the stadium here with thousands of fans stuck in big crushes to come through security checks at the gates. Judging by the current, chaotic scenes, not everyone will make it inside in time for kick-off in 25 minutes. No word yet about the start of the game being pushed back though.’

Here’s another look at the chaos outside the stadium.

Courtney Lawes on the privilege of captaining his country

Courtney Lawes has spoken about the honour of captaining England as he leads them out in what is his fourth World Cup campaign.

‘It’s huge for me, a big honour. I just want to do my best for the boys and the people at home supporting us. It’s a really exciting weekend. We’ve had a really good training week and we’re looking forward to getting stuck in.

We have to be defensively and physically sound. We have to match [Argentina] up front first and foremost. And we have a game plan put in place which will suit our strengths and give us plenty of options.

There’s definitely frustration. We feel it as much as anybody. We’re in the thick of it. We’re doing everything we can to make sure come this weekend we are firing on all cylinders.’

Steve Borthwick looks on… and Argentina fans cause more mayhem!

Sir Clive Woodward: Argentina are favourites

Mail Sport columnist and former World Cup winner Sir Clive Woodward has just told ITV Sport: ‘I think it’d be an upset if we win tonight.’

Argentina present a unique challenge as one of the most fiery teams in rugby and won at Twickenham last year 30-29. don’t take them lightly.

Maro Itoje’s words of encouragement

Maro Itoje has issued some defiant words ahead of tonight’s clash.

Steve Borthwick has lost six of his first nine games in charge of England but Itoje, who starts in the second row tonight, insists that England know their quality.

‘We know who we are, we know the type of players we have, we know the quality of coaches we have,’ he said.

‘We haven’t played as well as we can, but we know the potential of this group, you know the attitude of the players and the coaches and it can only fill you with confidence.

‘We want to be part of something special and that starts this weekend.

‘We’ve seen how England get behind their national teams and we want to produce rugby that will get the country behind us.’

Argentina’s line-up

Now for a look at Argentina’s starting XV for this clash.

Julian Montoya is the headline name and captain in the front row, also skippering Leicester Tigers. He’s powerful and has been named in the Gallagher Premiership team of the season twice in a row.

Marcos Kremer is back after a ban. He turns out for Clermont in the club season and has 57 Argentina caps to his name.

Inside England’s SHAMBOLIC Rugby World Cup build-up

It’s no secret that England World Cup build-up has been rocked by a pile-on of issues. Once a slick operation, England go into this World Cup with pessimistic talk surrounding them.

There have been bans, injuries, a first-ever loss to Fiji, and so much more. For a team that reached the final under Eddie Jones in 2019, anything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong, writes Kieran Lynch.

A look in the changing rooms

This is what the centre of operations ahead of kick-off for each team tonight.

Argentine fever hits Marseille

England have a good record against Argentina, having won 19 of 25 encounters, but try telling these South American fans that the history books matter.

They’ve turned out in full force and Argentine regalia for this one. One thing is for sure: whatever happens on the field, there is going to be a firecracker of an atmosphere in the Stade Velodrome tonight.

England line-up talking points

Steve Borthwick has the hopes of a nation resting on his shoulders and will know that his team selection will set the tone for the rest of the tournament.

Alex Mitchell is handed a surprise start at No 9 after a whirlwind few weeks. The Northampton Saints man wasn’t even included in Borthwick’s initial squad for the tournament, but the withdrawal of Jack Van Poortvliet led to his inclusion and now he starts ahead of Danny Care and Ben Youngs for his seventh cap.

Courtney Lawes captains the team from No 6 in the absence of Owen Farrell, having picked up his 100th cap against Fiji.

Jonny May is also on the wing – he also wasn’t included in the original 33-man squad.

Manchester United goalkeeper Tom Heaton reveals his surprising choice as the club’s best finisher amid goalscoring woes for Erik ten Hag’s team

Manchester United goalkeeper Tom Heaton has revealed who he feels is the best finisher at the club.

Heaton has plenty of experience of facing shots from United players in training but his choice may come as a surprise to some.

Erik ten Hag‘s side have struggled in front of goal in the early stages of the season – they won 1-0 against Wolves (with defender Raphael Varane scoring) before losing 2-0 to Tottenham

Heaton has revealed that he feels Anthony Martial is United’s best finisher.

Speaking to United’s official website, Heaton said: ‘Anthony Martial. He can bend it, he can whip it, he can go with power, he can lift it over you. He’s got that composure, that sort of calmness in front of goal that makes it difficult for a goalkeeper.’

Martial has been on the fringes for United in the early stages of the campaign.

The Frenchman was an unused substitute against Wolves and was then brought on for the last five minutes against Tottenham.

He then featured as United lost 3-0 to Burnley in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

If he remains at United then Martial could find his game time even more limited when summer signing Rasmus Hojlund is available.

Martial has made 299 appearances in total for United and has scored 88 goals, while he has provided 53 assists.

He also had a spell on loan at Sevilla in 2022.

The Back To The Future cast reunited for an image shared to Twitter – now known as X –  on Tuesday.

Christopher Lloyd, 84, posted the fun snapshot asking for more than 88K likes. He received over 250K in over a day.

Also seen in the happy image was Michael J Fox, 62, who starred in the blockbuster sci-fi as Marty McFly, and Lea Thompson, 62, who played the role of Lorraine in the first two films of the franchise.

Tom Wilson, 64, was also in the pic; he played bully Biff Tannen.

It has been 38 years since the first Back To The Future film was released.

Back to the Future is a comedy franchise created by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale.

The franchise follows the adventures of a high school student, Marty McFly, and an eccentric scientist, Dr. Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown, as they use a DeLorean time machine to time travel to different periods in the history of the fictional town of Hill Valley, California.

The first Back to the Future film was the highest-grossing film of 1985 and became an international phenomenon, leading to the second and third films, which were back-to-back film productions, released in 1989 and 1990, respectively.

Though the sequels did not perform quite as well at the box office as the first film, the trilogy remains immensely popular and has yielded such spin-offs as an animated television series and a motion-simulation ride at the Universal Studios Theme Parks as well as a video game and a stage musical.

The film’s visual effects were done by Industrial Light and Magic. The first film won an Academy Award for Sound Editing

The three films were Back to the Future (1985), Back to the Future Part II (1989) and Back to the Future Part III (1990).

This comes six months after all four actors were last seen together.

Lea shared the shot to social media. Thompson captioned her post, ‘Wow, honestly had the best time today with my #bttf family.’

She added: ‘So many fun fan moments too and a llama.’

The beauty also shared more moments on her Instagram stories, including two adorable pictures with Fox, who played the iconic Marty McFly in all three films.

The Spin City alum took to his Instagram stories to show off a group photo with his arms around his fellow cast members.

He wrote: ‘I love being at these FanExpo events and seeing some of my favorite people like Lea, Tom, Chris and all you #bttf heads. Heavy.’

Wilson, who starred as Biff Tannen, shared a selfie of the group to his account with the caption: ‘Okay, so this happened. 2023.’

Thompson also included several videos with her co-stars and a behind-the-scenes look at the event in her post.

In one of the videos, she caught Lloyd, in the shot, who starred as Dr. Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown, the iconic scientist,

‘Look who’s here. Look what the cat dragged in,’ Thompson said of Lloyd, both boasting smiles on their faces.

Another clip showed her snuggling up to Wilson, calling him ‘my favorite, favorite guy ever.’

Wilson then replied: ‘I love this lady. It’s so great to see you. You’re so fabulous.’

She retorted, quoting Wilson’s character’s go-to insult from the films, ‘I’m a butthead, right?’

He then called back to his character by gently knocking his fist on Thompson’s head and said, ‘Hello, anybody home?’

Fox and Lloyd had a smaller reunion in October when the two shared an emotional moment at Comic-Con in New York.

The pair shared a warm embrace on the Comic-Con stage before participating in a panel together, almost 40 years after the first film’s release.

‘The best part of this movie was working with Chris,’ he said, also adding that he found it ‘fun’ working with Chris ‘because he’s just genius.’

He also said that the pair had an ‘immediate chemistry,’ while Lloyd called Fox the ‘King of Exposition.’

Another topic for many fans has been Fox’s declining health.

The Doc Hollywood actor was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1991.

Throwback: 'The best part of this movie was working with Chris,' Fox said, also adding that he found it 'fun' working with Chris 'because he's just genius'; Fox as Marty McFly

It was evident that the degenerative disease was taking its physical toll on his body as he was seen staggering as he walked on stage at the Comic-Con event.

Since his diagnosis, the iconic actor has focused his life on raising money to research the disease.

He has since raised over $1 billion in research funding via the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

In November, Fox was presented with an honorary Academy Award for his work surrounding the disease.

Tom Brady is ready to give football a chance.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion has invested in Birmingham City, a 148-year-old soccer team in England’s second division, the EFL Championship.

Neither the size of Brady’s stake nor the price he paid has been revealed publicly. Regardless, Brady will have a roll with the team, applying ‘his extensive leadership experience’ while advising ‘on health, nutrition, wellness, and recovery,’ according to a club statement.

‘So here’s the deal, I’m officially coming on board at Birmingham City Football Club,’ Brady said in a social media video. ‘And maybe you’re asking what do you know about English football, Tom? Well let’s just say I’ve got a lot to learn. But I do know a few things about winning, and I think they may translate pretty well.’

Brady, who celebrates his 46th birthday on Thursday, already owns a minority stake in the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces. He also had plans to buy into the NFL’s Raiders as well, until the league’s new rule blocking equity distribution to employees put that deal in jeopardy. Then last month, he bought a racing boat team with Rafael Nadal and Formula One star Sergio Perez.

Brady’s acquisition comes shortly after American billionaire Tom Wagner became the club’s chairman as part of his ongoing takeover of the club.

Birmingham City opens its season against Swansea City in Wales on Saturday in the club’s first game as it hopes to return to the Premier League for the first time since the 2010-2011 season.

And in that sense, Brady’s investment offers upside potential. Whereas London’s Chelsea sold for $5.6 billion last year, Birmingham City went for just $44 million to Wagner’s group.

Promotion is anything but a given (Birmingham City finished 17th last season) but if the club can ascend to the EPL, Brady will have a much more lucrative asset on his hands.

‘Tom Brady joining the Birmingham City team is a statement of intent,’ Wagner said in a team statement. ‘We are setting the bar at world class.

‘Tom is both investing and committing his time and extensive expertise. As chair of the advisory board, Tom will have a direct impact on the club. The men’s, women’s, and academy teams are going to benefit from the knowledge.

‘The goal that Tom has committed to own is to make Birmingham City a respected leader in nutrition, health, wellness, and recovery across the world of football.’

The former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback joins a number of other American sports stars to invest in English soccer clubs.

Most famously, LeBron James has a minority stake of Liverpool FC, while PGA Tour golfers Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas are in the process of buying shares of Leeds United.

Former NFL player J.J. Watt recently became a minority investor in Burnley, which has just been promoted to the Premier League.

Naturally, Watt was quick to respond to his former rival’s Birmingham City acquisition.

‘Well well well, what do we have here,’ Watt tweeted. ‘Happy for you, wishing Birmingham all the best and hope to see you in the PL real soon! Up The Clarets!’

The small matter of saving the world from potential annihilation appeared to be taking its toll on Wednesday as Tom Cruise promoted his latest blockbuster in South Korea.

The Hollywood legend is currently working his way through a promotional tour on behalf of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One – the seventh instalment in the long-running film franchise.

But he looked ready to hang up the bullet proof vest and retire to bed during a press conference in Seoul, where he was joined by co-stars Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby and Pom Klementieff.

The cast were accompanied by director James McQuarrie as they fielded questions about the forthcoming film, shot on location across England and mainland Europe at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

Cruise has used his considerable platform to urge people to head to the cinema this summer to catch films like Barbie, Oppenheimer and his latest Mission: Impossible offering.

The actor took to Instagram to encourage people to see movies on the big screen despite the glorious weather, amid a challenging time for cinemas.

As well as paying tribute to Indiana Jones legend Harrison Ford as the fifth film hit screens, Cruise said he’s looking forward to Greta Gerwig’s Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-starring live-action Barbie film and Christopher Nolan’s biographical thriller.

He wrote: This summer is full of amazing movies to see in theaters. These are just a few that we can’t wait to see on the big screen.

‘Congratulations, Harrison Ford, on 40 years of Indiana Jones and creating one of the most iconic characters in cinema history. You have given us countless hours of joy.

‘I love a double feature, and it doesn’t get more explosive (or more pink) than one with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.’

The Hollywood star was seen in one picture in the post holding his Cineworld cinema ticket.

The cinema chain was hit particularly hard amid the COVID-19 pandemic and was facing closure, but it has been saved from bankruptcy.

Meanwhile, Cruise recently hailed Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is the perfect entry point into the franchise for newcomers.

The actor starred in the first ‘Mission: Impossible’ movie in 1996, and Tom believes the new film could help to attract new, younger viewers to the franchise.

He told Collider: ‘They could start with this film to see and understand that this is all real, all the action is real, it’s practical. This movie is an epic adventure. It’s so lush, filled with practical action and amazing locations.”

Cruise believes the new film has a “very engrossing story”.

The veteran actor also hailed the movie’s star-studded cast, which includes Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson and Simon Pegg.

He said: ‘[The movie has] submarines, it has the desert, it has Rome, beautiful locations in Abu Dhabi, Norway, a train that we built, action on the train, and a very engrossing story with a really beautiful cast, an amazing, very charismatic cast.

‘I think when you look at this movie, it really defines what I think about cinema and why because you look at this kind of cast, you look at a brilliant ensemble cast, and the kind of story is very engrossing.’

Knicks forward Obi Toppin had an ‘intense verbal altercation’ with head coach Tom Thibodeau after New York lost a playoff game against the Miami Heat in the second round of the postseason, according to a report from The Athletic.

Toppin, 25, was left fuming over his lack of game time after sitting on the bench for all of the second half of Game 4 in Miami on May 8.

Immediately after the contest was over, the third-year Knicks player confronted his head coach and their exchange ‘spilled into the [team’s] postgame meeting’ in the visiting locker room at Kaseya Center.

Unverified audio footage from the Heat’s home court also shows Toppin yelling at someone before being calmed down by several of his teammates, including Julius Randle, Josh Hart and Evan Fournier, in the tunnel after the game, although it was unclear at the time who he was angry with.

Several Knicks players declined to comment on the altercation, postgame. Toppin didn’t address reporters for the remainder of the series.

The 2020 National College Player of the year, who’s from Brooklyn, registered 18 points and eight rebounds as a starter in Game 1 in the Knicks’ 101-108 loss to the Heat.

He was named among New York’s starting five after Randle was sidelined with an ankle injury, sustained in the team’s first round series win against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, Toppin saw his game time dramatically dwindle following the return of ‘King Julius,’ only playing a mere six minutes in the team’s Game 4 loss.

The Athletic reported that Toppin and Thibodeau made up a day after their clash. The Knicks’ No. 1 played 12 minutes in each of the team’s following two games in the series, as New York crashed out of the playoffs.

Toppin, who selected as the eighth overall pick out of the 2020 NBA draft, has been playing 14.7 minutes per contest on average in his first three seasons in the Big Apple.

He’s mostly come off the bench as a backup to Randle, the team’s star forward and a two-time All-Star.

Toppin is eligible for a contract extension this offseason and could be dealt with ahead of Thursday’s draft in exchange for a late first-round pick or a big-name signing who’s currently under contract.

The Knicks are short on picks this year, despite owning 10 first-rounders all the way until 2029. The franchise traded away its first-round pick this year to obtain Josh Hart from the Portland Trail Blazers prior to the NBA trade deadline in February.

New York is currently without a general manager, ever since the departure of Scott Perry was confirmed in May. Perry, 59, had been the team’s GM since the 2017-18 season.

The most uncomfortable journey of my life I spent squashed in economy class between two enormously fat passengers, on a jam-packed overnight flight from London Heathrow to New Delhi.

Veritable human elephants they were, with bottoms, thighs and tree-trunk upper-arms spreading far into my territory in the middle seat.

For nine hours I suffered there, hardly able to breathe, my shoulders hunched and my elbows tucked in front of my chest, finding it almost impossible to manoeuvre my food and drink into my mouth without spilling it down my shirt.

If you’ve ever sat down to a Christmas dinner for ten, round a kitchen table designed for six, you will understand my difficulty.

I thought of that flight this week, when I read that an American woman described as a ‘plus-size travel influencer’ is campaigning to make airlines offer free extra seats to passengers of her substantial proportions, who take up two or even three each. It’s a question of their human rights, apparently.

‘People with smaller bodies get to pay one fare to get to their destination,’ says Jaelynn Chaney, who keeps her weight private but admits that her frocks are an impressive size 6XL (that’s 24 UK, or European size 50). ‘But we have to pay two fares, even though we’re getting the same experience. If anything, our experiences are a little bit more challenging.’

Call me a brute, but I would have thought that if she wanted her experience of air travel to be a little less challenging, the remedy might lie in her own hands.

Isn’t it just possible that her discomfort in single seats may have something to do with the quantity and quality of her diet?

Dare I say it, wouldn’t it be within her power to slim down, if only she were to limit her intake of calories?

Not possible, says her champion Gabor Lukacs, the founder of an organisation called Air Passenger Rights. ‘Being a large-size person is not a choice,’ he says, ‘as many people mistakenly believe.’

Thus, in a single sentence, he dismisses the age-old notion that human beings are endowed with free will.

I’m reminded of that brilliant comedian Peter Cook’s waspish rejoinder when someone said that it wasn’t Elizabeth Taylor’s fault she was putting on weight. It was all down to her glands.

‘I know, poor woman,’ he said. ‘There she is, in her suite in the Dorchester, harmlessly watching television. Suddenly her glands pick up the phone and order two dozen eclairs and a bottle of brandy.

I thought of that flight this week, when I read that an American woman described as a 'plus-size travel influencer' is campaigning to make airlines offer free extra seats to passengers of her substantial proportions. Pictured: Jaelynn Chaney

‘No,’ she screams, ‘please, I beg you!’ but her glands take no notice. Determined glands they are, her glands.

‘You’ve never known glands like them. The trolley arrives and Elizabeth Taylor hides in the bathroom, but her glands, her glands take the eclairs, smash down the door and stuff them down her throat.

‘I’m glad I haven’t got glands like that. Terrible glands.’

All I will say, cruel though this may sound, is that you don’t see many morbidly obese people among the wretched souls fleeing from famine in refugee camps.

Now, as regular readers will be quick to point out, I am the last person on Earth qualified to get on my high horse and preach against people in the grip of addictions. After all, I have a revolting 50-a-day cigarette habit, and I know how terribly hard it is to quit. I imagine the same must be true of people who are addicted to doughnuts and sweets, Big Macs and chips.

Indeed, I’m sure that it’s only my half century of addiction to nicotine that has kept my own weight down to between 10½ and 11 st since I was 18 — or rather less, over recent months, since my rotting teeth began to make eating a bit of an ordeal.

It’s almost certain that if I were to give up smoking now, and get my teeth fixed, I would exchange the hit I get from my Marlboro Reds for the comfort of over-eating. No doubt my figure would balloon, as has happened to so many of my friends, with stronger wills than mine, who have managed to wean themselves off the evil weed.

(I hasten to say that I can’t recommend chain-smoking or avoiding the dentist as wholly satisfactory ways of losing weight. The former is cripplingly expensive, at well over £14 a packet these days. As for the latter, I find that children tend to shriek and run away, terrified, when I smile.)

All I will say in my defence is that I fully acknowledge my weakness, I don’t blame anyone else for it and I try, as far as possible, to avoid letting my self-indulgence cause discomfort to others, never lighting up in the presence of people who object.

Oh, and unlike Jaelynn Chaney, who appears to believe all passengers on a flight should share the cost of awarding her an extra seat, I don’t expect anyone else to suffer financially because I won’t make the effort to kick my anti-social habit. Yes, I know. Anti-smoking fanatics will tell me that my vice costs the health service a fortune, estimated by NHS England at £2.6 billion a year.

To them, I can only point out the Office for Budget Responsibility’s estimate that tobacco duty alone will raise £10.4 billion in the current financial year.

What’s more, the obesity epidemic is claimed to cost a whopping £14 billion a year, which is the amount the NHS would save if everyone were of a healthy weight.

That’s according to an authoritative study last month, led by Dr Jonathan Pearson-Stuttard, a public lecturer at Imperial College London and head of health analytics at a consultancy firm, Lane Clark & Peacock.

But, no, I’m not for one moment disputing Jaelynn Chaney’s right to be fat. Nor do I begrudge overweight people the subsidy from other passengers which they already enjoy if they occupy single seats, since every extra pound of flab aboard increases the amount of fuel a plane needs and so pushes up fares for all.

Isn't it just possible that her discomfort in single seats may have something to do with the quantity and quality of her diet? (file image)

Isn’t it just possible that her discomfort in single seats may have something to do with the quantity and quality of her diet? (file image)

Still less would I suggest that in the UK, the NHS should refuse to treat patients who have brought their suffering on themselves — whether smokers, fatties, speeding motorists or enthusiasts for dangerous sports.

All I am saying is that Jaelynn should acknowledge her personal responsibility for her enormous size, and accept that she could do something about it, if only she put her mind to it. As with me and my smoking (all right, Mrs U, and my drinking too), she has a choice.

No doubt I’ll be roundly condemned for ‘fat-shaming’. But then we nicotine addicts are constantly shamed for our habit, banished like lepers from enclosed public spaces, and scolded by warnings on our cigarette packets that our selfishness harms others around us, and stunts our unborn babies’ growth.

But you won’t hear many of us whimpering that this is an abuse of our human rights.

I would even argue that the shaming of smokers, whether by governments of every hue or by hosts at private parties who tell us to light up in the garden or the street, ‘if you really must’, has improved the health of the nation’s lungs.

Of course, the annual increases in tobacco duty have been by far the most influential factor in bringing the number of UK smokers down from roughly 40 per cent of the adult population in the 1970s, to the mere 13.3 per cent recorded in the 2021 census. But the campaign to shame us must surely have helped.

By the same token, mightn’t a spot of concerted fat-shaming help slim down the Great British buttocks, and save our own growing army of Jaelynns from themselves?

But let me end with a plea to airline check-in staff the world over. As a nicotine addict, I have a great deal of sympathy with people who can’t bring themselves to say no to that extra slice of cake. But the next time a pair of human elephants waddle up to your desk, please don’t seat me between them.

Raquel Leviss allegedly mailed Tom Sandoval a postcard with a lightning bolt to the home he shares with his ex Ariana Madix.

For fans, the lightning bolt is a significant symbol in the cheating scandal. During the affair, Raquel, 28, purchased a lightning bolt necklace which matched the electric necklace Tom, 40, also owned.

Scheana Shay’s husband Brock Davies made the shocking claim while speaking with Vanderpump Rules alums Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright on their podcast When Reality Hits.

‘The postcard was Sedona with a lightning bolt in Sedona, and she sends a postcard, so it’s there for her her to read. That is calculated,’ Brock alleged.

‘It was a postcard, it wasn’t a f**king closed envelope! It was because she wanted you guys to read it! Are you kidding me?’ Brock exclaimed.

‘She sent a postcard to Tom and Ariana’s house and she’s been like sending letters and stuff,’ Scheana added.

‘She sent a letter and Ariana sees the letter with “To Sandoval”, but she can’t open it, it’s illegal. But then the motherf**ker has the audacity to go, “I’ll go one step further of being an absolute tw*t” and writes a postcard!’ Davies alleged.

Ariana and Sandoval still live together at the home they purchased together in Valley Village despite their split, meaning Madix is able to see all their incoming mail.

Brock also claimed the postcard was sent after Ariana revealed on Watch What Happens Live that Leviss had been sending Sandoval letters to their home but she was unable to legally open them herself.

Ariana, whose nine-year long relationship with Sandoval imploded after his affair with Raquel came to light, revealed earlier this month that Leviss ‘was sending letters to my house like four days ago.’

She told host Andy Cohen that she didn’t open the letters but they were ‘addressed to him and in her handwriting.’

Cohen asked if Leviss had sent them from the mental health facility that she checked herself into last month, to which Madix replied: ‘I guess, I don’t know.’

She clarified that she’d only seen one letter from Leviss and that she handed it over to Sandoval.

‘I didn’t open his [bedroom] door. I just brought him the mail, saw it, put it on the table, walked away. It was just the one that I know of, but I have been out of town,’ Madix said.

Fans watched Raquel purchase the controversial $780 lightning bolt necklace on an episode of Vanderpump Rules.

According to a a Reddit user claiming to be a friend of the former pageant queen, who was previously crowned Miss Sonoma County in 2016 before appearing on Vanderpump Rules, the jewelry was used by the couple to say ‘I love you’ to each other.

She was photographed in the necklace several times on social media and at BravoCon in October 2022.

While Sandoval wears the accessory almost daily, Leviss only began wearing a similar necklace last year, months after they are said to have begun seeing each other.

Raquel and Tom reportedly split up earlier this month but have still been speaking to one another. Over the weekend, a fan spotted Tom on a phone call with Raquel.

Raquel checked into a mental health facility after the cheating scandal broke, and while it was speculated their chat may have indicated she had finished treatment, a source shut that down.

Speaking with ET Online, the insider said Raquel is still in the facility and was actually on a scheduled phone call with Tom.

‘Tom was talking to Raquel during a scheduled phone call when he was spotted on the plane with her name on his phone. Raquel is still in the mental health facility and is very focused on doing the work required of her. Raquel only has certain times during the week she can make calls, and she and Tom had a scheduled call.’

With her blonde locks pulled back in a loose bun, the movie star then slipped into some sneakers before hiding her face behind a white face mask.
