Black guitarist who has played with Dave Matthews and John Mayer slams American Airlines after flight attendant suspected he had kidnapped his biracial children and called police who were waiting for him when he arrived in LA

  • Guitarist David Ryan Harris says cops and an American Airlines flight attendant suggested that one of his kids didn’t belong to him following a recent flight

A musician who has performed with John Mayer and The Dave Matthews Band took to social media to slam American Airlines after it was suggested that one of his bi-racial children did not belong to him.

David Ryan Harris said that he was flying from Atlanta to Los Angeles with his two kids when the incident occurred. As the plane landed in LAX, Harris said they were met by an American representative and four police officers.

‘Apparently, a flight attendant had called ahead with some sort of concern that perhaps my mixed children weren’t my children because they were unresponsive,’ Harris said in a video that he posted on Instagram

The dad went on to say that his 7-year-old, the child who the attendant was concerned over, is ‘pretty shy.’ Her suspicions were apparently aroused when the child did not engage nor answer her question about his name. Harris said the entire interaction lasted about 30 seconds.

After a brief interrogation, Harris said that the officers were satisfied with his answers and allowed the family to continue their trip. ‘I wanted to go through the roof,’ Harris said, adding that he did not want to show anger in front of his kids.

Harris said that he lodged an official complaint with the airline but never heard back until his first social media post in which he discussed the affair went viral.

The guitarist stressed that the entire incident could have been handled differently had the attendant checked the plane manifest and seen that the family all held the same last name.

Harris also said that his children have frequent flyer accounts with American which further proves their identity.

He called her actions ‘poor form,’ in his first video about the incident.

‘There were many steps that she could have taken before she lobbed the hand grenade of having the authorities called,’ Harris added.

Many in the comments suggested that the attendant’s heart was in the right place and that she believed the child was in danger or was being trafficked.

The Department of Homeland Security points to a person being non-communicative as a sign of human trafficking.

American Airlines ’empowers’ staff to act if they feel as though human trafficking is taking place.

The agent who contacted Harris went through the steps that the airline takes in order to prevent trafficking. The agent also said that the entire incident was under investigation.

Harris was offered 10,000 air miles, an offer he described as ‘kinda insulting.’

The United Auto Workers strike against the ‘Big Three’ Detroit carmakers entered its second day on Saturday, and some union members are questioning whether President Joe Biden has done enough to back their cause.

The strike involves 13,000 workers so far, less than a tenth of the union’s total membership, but UAW’s strike fund has enough cash to support a full 150,000-member walkout for up to three months.

The union representing workers at General Motors, Ford and Stellantis is seeking a 40 percent raise for its workers. The walkout is limited for now to three assembly plants: a GM factory in Wentzville, Missouri, a Ford plant near Detroit, and a Jeep plant run by Stellantis in Toledo, Ohio

In Kokomo, Indiana, the hometown of UAW boss Shawn Fain, Local 685 President Garry Quirk told Politico that Biden, the self-described ‘most pro-union president in American history,’ had not done enough to prevent a strike.

‘I don’t know what he’s done,’ Quirk said. ‘Ask him. I don’t think he knows what he’s done. Seriously. I’m not trying to be mean.’

Quirk, 60, told the outlet he voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016, and then Donald Trump in 2020.

Fellow local member Denny Butler, 52, also expressed frustration at the White House’s perceived lack of action.

‘We haven’t had a president in there for years, with the exception of Trump, that was really for the people, all the way back to the Reagan days,’ he told Politico.

He noted that unions were once tightly aligned with the Democratic Party, but said that was no longer the case.

‘Democrats were for the working people. That s**t has changed. I’m telling you what, the Democratic Party was not what it was 20, 30 years ago.’

On Thursday, Biden spoke with Fain and the three auto company CEOs in a futile last-ditch bid to avoid a strike.

The chair of Biden’s Council of Economic Advisers cited Biden’s record of backing unions and collective bargaining, saying the president had been ‘very much engaged’ in the negotiations.

The union appeared to be digging in for a potential protracted strike, even as Ford quickly announced that ripple effects from the walkouts meant temporary layoffs of 600 jobs.

UAW President Fain said late Friday that it wasn’t true ‘negotiations have broken down.’

However, he added that ‘our members and allies are standing strong at the picket lines. Anyone who wants to stand with us can grab a sign and hold the line.’

‘Tomorrow, we expect to be at the bargaining table,’ he said. ‘All three companies have received a comprehensive counteroffer from our union, and we await their response.’

For Biden, the strike represents a collision of two of the president’s top goals – fighting climate change and expanding the middle class by supporting unions.

Biden is trying to turbocharge the market for electric vehicles to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prevent China from solidifying its grip on the growing industry.

His signature legislation, known as the Inflation Reduction Act, includes billions of dollars in incentives to get more clean cars on the roads.

However, many autoworkers fear the transition away from gas-powered cars will cost jobs, because electric vehicles require fewer people to assemble.

Although there will be new jobs in the production of high-capacity batteries, there’s no guarantee that those factories will be unionized, and they’re often being planned in states more hostile to organized labor.

‘The president is in a really tough position,’ said Erik Gordon, a professor at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. ‘What he needs to be the most pro-labor president ever and the greenest president ever is a magic wand.’

The union is demanding steep raises and better benefits, and it’s escalating the pressure with its targeted strike.

Brittany Eason, who has worked for 11 years at the Ford Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan, said workers are worried that they’ll ‘be pushed out by computers and electric vehicles.’

‘How do you expect people to work with ease if they’re in fear of losing their jobs?’ said Eason, who planned to walk the picket line this weekend.

Electric vehicles may be inevitable, she said, but changes need to be made ‘so everybody can feel secure about their jobs, their homes and everything else.’

Biden on Friday acknowledged the tension in remarks from the White House , saying the transition to clean energy ‘should be fair and a win-win for auto workers and auto companies.’

He dispatched top aides to Detroit to help push negotiations along, and he prodded management to make more generous offers to the union, saying ‘they should go further to ensure record corporate profits mean record contracts.’

As part of its demands, the UAW wants to represent employees at battery plants, which would send ripple effects through an industry that has seen supply chains upended by technological changes.

‘Batteries are the power trains of the future,’ said Dave Green, a regional director for the union in Ohio and Indiana. ‘Our workers in engine and transmission areas need to be able to move into the new generation.’

Executives, however, are keen to keep a lid on labor costs as their companies prepare to compete in a global market. China is the dominant manufacturer of electric vehicles and batteries.

‘The UAW strike and indeed the `summer of strikes´ is the natural result of the Biden administration´s `whole of government´ approach to promoting unionization at all costs,’ said Suzanne Clark, CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Some environmental groups, conscious of how labor remains crucial to securing support for climate programs, have expressed support for the strike.

‘We’re at a really pivotal moment in the history of the auto industry,’ said Sam Gilchrist, deputy national outreach director at the Natural Resources Defense Council.

Presidential politics have increased the stakes for the strike, which could damage the economy going into an election year, depending on how long it lasts and whether it spreads. It’s also centered in Michigan, a key part of Biden’s 2020 victory and critical to his chances at a second term.

Former President Donald Trump , the frontrunner for the Republican nomination, sees an opportunity to drive a wedge between Biden and workers.

He issued a statement saying Biden ‘will murder the US auto industry and kill countless union autoworker jobs forever, especially in Michigan and the Midwest. There is no such thing as a ‘fair transition’ to the destruction of these workers’ livelihoods and the obliteration of this cherished American industry.’

In an interview with NBC’s ‘Meet the Press,’ Trump said that ‘electric cars are going to be made in China,’ not the United States, and he said ‘the auto workers are being sold down the river by their leadership.’

Trump’s comments have not earned him any support from UAW president Fain.

‘That’s not someone that represents working-class people,’ he told MSNBC earlier this month. ‘He’s part of the billionaire class. We need to not forget that. And that´s what our members need to think about when they go to vote.’

Ammar Moussa, a spokesman for Biden’s campaign, said Trump ‘will say literally anything to distract from his long record of breaking promises and failing America’s workers.’

He noted that Trump would have let auto companies go bankrupt during the financial crisis rather than bail them out as President Barack Obama did at the time.

But there are also disagreements between Biden and workers.

When the Energy Department announced a $9.2 billion loan for battery plants in Tennessee and Kentucky, part of a joint venture by Ford and a South Korean company, Fain said the federal government was ‘actively funding the race to the bottom with billions in public money.’

Madeline Janis, co-executive director of Jobs to Move America, which works on environmental and worker issues, said the White House needs to do more to alleviate labor challenges.

‘We don’t have enough career pathways for people to see themselves in this future and let go of the jobs in industries that are causing our world to be in crisis,’ she said.

A woman who Danny Masterson was convicted of raping has criticised Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis‘ ‘insulting and hurtful’ apology video.

The couple responded to backlash on Saturday over letters written to the judge in the case of convicted rapist Danny Masterson, prompting even more wrath, including from Jane Doe #1 aka Jen B.

Journalist Yashar Ali shared on X the woman’s reaction to the Hollywood couple’s clip.

He wrote: ‘Jane Doe #1 aka Jen B, one of the women Danny Masterson was convicted of raping, just texted me her reaction to Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis’ video.’

The message from her said: ‘This video was incredibly insulting and hurtful. My hope is that they learn radical accountability and the importance of self-education to learn when to keep their privilege in check—especially Ashton, who claims to work with victims of sex crimes. And as to Mila, I can only think of “Times Up.”‘

Critics were quick to take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to unleash their dismay over the ‘lawyered’ apology.

They posted the video after it was revealed that he and his wife had vouched for their former That 70s Show co-star and friend, 47.

Ashton, 45, began the short video: ‘We are aware of the pain that has been caused by the character letters we wrote on behalf of Danny Masterson.

‘We support victims,’ Mila, 40, added. ‘We have done this historically through our work and will continue to do so in the future.’

Ashton continued: ‘A couple months ago, Danny’s family reached out to us and they asked us to write character letters to represent the person that we knew for 25 years so that the judge could take that into full consideration relative to the sentencing.’

Mila went on to say: ‘The letters were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system or the validity of the jury’s ruling.’

‘They were intended for the judge to read. And not to undermine the testimonies of the victims or re-traumatize them in any way.

‘We would never want to do that. And we are sorry if that has taken place,’ Ashton emphasized.

‘Our heart goes out to every single person that has ever been a victim of sexual assault, sexual abuse or rape,’ Mila said to conclude their statement.

The comments on the post were disabled.

Ali reposted the video, saying: ‘It’s important to note that the letters weren’t just character letters you’d write for a friend. The letters, which contained a great deal of Scientological phrasing, were intended to undermine the victims who were drugged by Danny.’

The couple supported their former That 70s Show castmate by making individual submissions to the court, despite him already being convicted for raping two women.

In the letters obtained by DailyMail.com, both Kunis and Kutcher – who is credited as a co-founder and board chair of a non-profit purported to help fight child sex exploitation – spoke highly of Masterson, claiming he always ‘treated people with decency, equality, and generosity.’

In his letter to the judge, Kutcher wrote: ‘He’s an extraordinarily honest and intentional human being.

‘Over our 25-year relationship I don’t recall him ever lying to me. He’s taught me about being direct and confronting issues in life and relationships head-on, resolving them, and moving forward.’

A Japanese store has slammed foreign tourists for being rude to staff, littering, and poor public etiquette.

Terrence, from California, recently came across a large sign in Tokyo that berated tourists for having ‘bad manners’ and ‘violating’ the rules of the convenience store.

The list was posted next to the store’s entrance.

Staff had to tidy up after tourists that littered inside the store, and put items back on the shelves in the wrong place, and angered by those who opened products befoer purchasing them.

Tourists would also unreasonably expect staff to speak English.

A photo of the sign was posted on a popular group

It read: ‘Requests for foreign customers, we are very troubled by the many violations of manners by foreigners. These are bad manners.

‘[Do not] place the item in your hand in a different location or in a different orientation.

‘[Do not] open the package before purchasing the goods or bring food and beverages into the store. [Do not] throw garbage inside the store or in the hallways.’

The note also included information about what tourists could do to bridge the language barrier.

‘Most of the staff can’t speak English, please prepare an image of what you are looking for or make an effort to speak Japanese,’ it advised.

The store also banned customers from returning items that were not broken.

Thousands commended the store for setting clear boundaries and complained about how uncivilised certain tourists can be.

‘Sadly, many foreigners don’t respect the Japanese culture or lifestyle,’ one said. ‘I wish all stores had a code of conduct to protect staff from abusive customers.’

‘What they’re asking for is just common courtesy – which many sorely lack,’ another wrote.

‘These requests for visitors are sensible and can be applied to not only Japan, but also to other Asian countries like Thailand, Korea, Taiwan where most local people can’t speak English well,’ a woman wrote.

But others claimed staff should ‘make more of an effort’ to be well-versed in foreign expectations.

‘There is no shame in not knowing English, but everyone should at least try to learn it,’ a man said.

‘Why can’t I bring a coffee into a supermarket?’ another asked.

  • An infuriated daughter has slammed Ryanair for charging her parents £110
  • The elderly couple had already checked in but downloaded the wrong passes

A woman has shamed Ryanair for charging her elderly parents £110 to print off their boarding passes.

The infuriated daughter said her parents, who are in their 70s and 80s, had mistakenly downloaded the return boarding card instead of the outgoing pass.

The two had already checked in and had paid an extra fee to sit next to each other, which the woman explained was to accommodate her disabled father.

But instead of resolving the ‘honest mistake’, the budget airline charged them £110 extra, adding even more stress to their trip.

Taking to Twitter, under the username @old_school_alps, the infuriated daughter said: Hey @Ryanair, my parents who are in their 70s and 80s, had accidentally downloaded the return flight boarding card instead of the outgoing ones and you charged them £110 to print them at the airport. £110 for 2 pieces of paper which took 1 minute. Shame on you.’

The woman was not alone in her frustration, and thousands of users took to the app to offer advice and recount their own horrifying experiences.

One person said: ‘We had a similar issue and they charged us £60 to get back home… never again.’

While one person wrote: ‘The cheapest airline will eventually cost you the most.’

Other users were more harsh and told the woman not to fly with budget airlines, one wrote: ‘Don’t fly with low cost airlines,’ another agreed: ‘It’s the entire point of low cost airlines.’

Another said: ‘They don’t care. If you can afford it, book another airline if not welcome to the low cost game.’

To which the woman responded: ‘No one else flies to them. Local airport and the only other one went bust.’

The daughter took to Twitter to complain, the Tweet has since gained 8.7million views with many sympathetic to the situation

Many pointed out that the Ryanair website states it costs £20 to reissue a boarding pass, which is considerably less than the £55 her parents were both charged.

The website does, however, charge £55 for airport check-in fees, but the woman has since pointed out: ‘They were checked in but had downloaded the return pass by mistake.’

It comes shortly after an Australian traveller was charged €55 for not checking in online before departure.

According to the Ryanair terms and conditions of carriage, travellers must check in up to two hours before the scheduled departure time. Boarding passes must be either printed or downloaded through the Ryanair app.

Customers travelling with Ryanair cannot check in online during the two hours before your flight’s scheduled departure time.

Ryanair have since responded to the tweet, asking the woman to contact them. MailOnline have contacted Ryanair for comment.

Does Ryanair charge for check-in?

Your boarding pass must be printed on a single A4 page or downloaded through the Ryanair app.

Unless you have a Plus or Flexi Plus ticket, if you do not check in online more than two hours before the scheduled departure time, you will be charged the airport check-in fee set out in the table of fees.

The check-in desks close strictly 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time unless you are notified otherwise before flight departure. If you do not check-in by then you may be denied boarding without refund.

You cannot check in online during the two hours before your flight’s scheduled departure time.

Online check-in opens 60 days before the scheduled departure time if you have purchased an allocated seat.

Customers can be allocated a seat free of charge if they check-in online between 24 and 2 hours before each booked flight.

While the American singer has enjoyed some of the local delicacies, there is one he is very much not a fan of.

During Sunday’s episode of The Voice Australia, the 33-year-old was encouraged to try popular local toast spread Vegemite.

With his eyes closed and wearing an Outback cork hat, Jason was fed Aussie foods by his fellow judges Rita Ora, Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian.

The sharp, salty yeast concoction is a favourite with many Australians but Jason was horrified.

Jason recoiled as the Vegemite spread all over his teeth, clearly disliking the taste.

‘Not gonna lie, that Vegemite was not it. I was like, “Oh damn, they just fed me s**t on live television,”‘ he said.

Jason was more impressed by Arnott’s Tim Tam chocolate biscuits, which he called, ‘unbelievable’ and said he ‘loved’.

It comes after the star revealed that there is no competition when it comes to whether the coffee is better Down Under or in the USA.

‘I think so, I really do,’ he said to The Daily Telegraph when asked if Australia has better coffee than his homeland.

Jason has been spending time in Sydney during filming and told the publication that he’s enjoying his stay.

‘I got to sink my teeth into a routine and the culture of Australia,’ he explained.

‘I’ve always really loved Australia, but this is the first time where I got to spend some time there so being able to go to a gym that I like going to, and having favourite restaurants, that’s really cool.’

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton laughed and said ‘no’ when asked Tuesday if she would consider running for the White House again.

‘No, no,’ Clinton said on Morning Joe between chuckles. ‘But I am certainly going to be active in supporting women running for office and other candidates who I think should be reelected or elected, both women and men.’

The former secretary of State also tore into Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying he was ‘acting out his own insecurities’ on the people of Ukraine.

The former secretary of State also tore into Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying he was ‘acting out his own insecurities’ on the people of Ukraine

‘It’s so heartbreaking to me that Putin is acting out his own insecurities, his own resentments and grievances against the people of Ukraine,’ Clinton told Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski.

‘Waging a war against a smaller state that is totally unprovoked as we have seen, really tells us everything we need to know about Putin,’ she continued.

Brzezinski asked Clinton how she thought Putin’s invasion of Ukraine would end.

‘I don’t know how it ends, but I think that probably the person who was most surprised that it is still going on is Vladimir Putin,’ she said.

‘The level of defense and determination that the Ukrainian people are showing, starting with their president, President Zelensky, going all the way down to, you know, grandmothers and young women taking up arms for the first time to defend their families and their communities – is tragic but inspiring,’ Clinton continued.

‘And I hope that the world will stay with Ukraine while they try to protect their homeland, and all that they hold dear, including freedom and democracy,’ the former secretary of State added.

She also pointed out that even though the war is happening ‘far away.’

‘It is a war taht will affect what kind of world we’re going to live in,’ Clinton pointed out. ‘And that’s why I hope everybody understands why we should be supporting the Ukrainian people going forward.’

As Tuesday marked International Women’s Day, Brzezinski asked Clinton what was motivating the women of Ukraine to be so resilient.

‘I think first of all, it is shock,’ Clinton answered.

‘You know, two weeks ago, these people, especially these women, they were taking care of their babies, they were planning their weddings, they were going to work, they were continuting their education,’ she said. ‘And because a leader of a much larger country on their border decided that he wanted to stamp out their way of life, they are now fleeing for safety or standing up against that military force.’

She suggested that because the Ukrainians were fighting ‘not for an ideology, not for a dictator,’ but for their way of life, they’ve been able to hold Putin’s forces off.

‘And you can at least as of now, you know, stop this evil force from just wiping you out and ending the way that you had thought about what life would be for you and future generations,’ she said.

Clinton called it resilience ‘born out of danger and pain.’

The Clintons have been wading back into politics as the November midterm elections approach, but as she said Tuesday morning, is not expected to run for the White House a third time.

Conservatives, however, don’t seem to be able to believe Clinton’s political ambitions are done.

At the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando late last month, attendees who participated in the event’s annual straw poll said that Clinton was the most likely Democratic nominee in 2024, despite Democratic President Joe Biden being in office.

Of those polled, 22.1 per cent said Clinton would be the Democrats’ 2024 nominee, while 16.8 per cent said it would be former First Lady Michelle Obama  – who’s never expressed a desire to pursue elected office.

In third place, came Biden with 13.6 per cent of the vote.

A solar storm simultaneously hit Earth, the moon and Mars – the first time an eruption was measured on three planetary surfaces at once.

An international fleet of spacecraft detected the outburst, finding the particles were energetic enough to soar through Earth’s magnetic field that typically shields our planet from such events.

The solar storm pummeled the moon and Mars due to a lack of magnetic fields, which astronomers fear could be deadly for future human exploration.

Human beings are considering going back to the moon and eventually to Mars within the following decades.

The solar storm was detected on October 28, 2021, but the scientists published their findings today. The event was the first to hit three planetary surfaces at once

The solar storm was detected on October 28, 2021, but the scientists published their findings today. The event was the first to hit three planetary surfaces at once

‘We are still facing one major hurdle, ‘space radiation,’ which is a significant and unavoidable risk for crews’ health, especially for long-term stays at future lunar or Martian stations,’ reads the study by scientists with the University of Science and Technology of China.

‘In particular, sporadic solar energetic particles (SEPs) generated via extreme solar eruptions may enhance the lunar or Martian surface radiation levels to potentially hazardous values.’

The solar storm was detected on October 28, 2021, but the scientists published their findings today.

The event was captured by the European Space Agency’s (ESA) ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO), NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) Moon lander, NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), and German Aerospace Center’s (DLR) Eu:CROPIS Earth orbiter.

The team stated that the event was an example of a rare ‘ground-level enhancement,’ which means particles released in the explosion are energetic enough to pass through the magnetic bubble surrounding Earth and protect us from less active solar outbursts.

This was only the 73rd ground-level enhancement since records began in the 1940s, and none have been recorded since – but still, the first time a solar storm has hit three planetary surfaces simultaneously.

Since the moon and Mars are not protected in a ‘bubble’ like Earth, particles from the sun can interact with the soil to create secondary generation.

However, Mars has a thin atmosphere that stops most lower-energy solar particles and slows down the highly energetic ones.

ESA shared in a statement that ‘a radiation dose above 700 milligray – the unit for the absorption of radiation – may induce radiation sickness via destruction of the bone marrow, resulting in symptoms such as infection and internal bleeding.’

If an astronaut receives more than 10 gray, they are extremely unlikely to survive more than two weeks.

The 2021 solar storm did not release enough radiation to harm astronauts in lunar orbit –  NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter clocked in just 31 milligray.

Scientist Jingnan Guo researched the solar event, said: ‘Our calculations of the past ground level enhancement events show that on average one event every 5.5 years may have exceeded the safe dose level on the moon if no radiation protection had been provided. Understanding these events is crucial for future crewed missions to the surface of the moon.’

The study shows ExoMars measured 9 milligray, 30 times more than the 0.3 milligray detected on the surface by the Curiosity rover.

ESA’s inner Solar System missions, Solar Orbiter, SOHO and BepiColombo, were also caught in the blast, providing even more vantage points to study this solar event.

Marco Pinto, an ESA research fellow working on radiation detectors, said: ‘We live in a golden age of Solar System physics.

‘Radiation detectors aboard planetary missions such as BepiColombo, on its way to Mercury, and Juice, cruising to Jupiter, add a much-needed coverage to study the acceleration and propagation of solar energetic particles.’

‘P***ed off’ Ted Cruz slams Mitch McConnell for missing a ‘landslide’ Senate Republican https://latestnews.top/ped-off-ted-cruz-slams-mitch-mcconnell-for-missing-a-landslide-senate-republican/ https://latestnews.top/ped-off-ted-cruz-slams-mitch-mcconnell-for-missing-a-landslide-senate-republican/#respond Mon, 31 Jul 2023 17:55:17 +0000 https://latestnews.top/2023/07/31/ped-off-ted-cruz-slams-mitch-mcconnell-for-missing-a-landslide-senate-republican/ Texas Senator Ted Cruz unloaded on Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell during a special episode of his podcast on Monday, making it clear that he holds the veteran lawmaker responsible for Republicans’ poor midterm performance. ‘Let me start off by saying I am so pissed off, I cannot even see straight,’ he said on The […]]]>

Texas Senator Ted Cruz unloaded on Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell during a special episode of his podcast on Monday, making it clear that he holds the veteran lawmaker responsible for Republicans’ poor midterm performance.

‘Let me start off by saying I am so pissed off, I cannot even see straight,’ he said on The Verdict with Ted Cruz. ‘We had an extraordinary opportunity. We had a generational opportunity. This should have been a fundamental landslide election.’

The party’s post mortem of its election results has been taken over by finger-pointing as separate factions of the GOP blame each other for losing in the Senate and failing to sweep the House of Representatives in a decisive ‘red wave.’

A growing number of conservative Republican lawmakers are in open rebellion against party leaders while establishment figures accuse Donald Trump of endorsing bad candidates in key GOP primaries.

‘The rage that I’m feeling, there are almost no words to describe it, because this opportunity was screwed up. It was screwed up badly, and the people that are gonna pay the price are the American people,’ Cruz said.

He’s among several senators in McConnell’s caucus now asking for this week’s leadership vote to be postponed, with some calling to wait until the runoff election for Georgia’s open Senate seat on December 6.

But while demanding a delayed leadership race has been seen as a tacit form of disapproval against McConnell, Cruz expressed his disdain for the longtime Kentucky Republican in no uncertain terms on Monday.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz blasted Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in a special episode of his podcast on Monday

‘It’s more important to him to have Republicans who will back him, than it is to have 51 Republicans,’ the senator said.

‘I understand why, there’s a certain selfishness that justifies that, it just doesn’t make any sense if you give a damn about the country.’

Like Trump and his Republican allies, Cruz honed in on McConnell’s apparent refusal to back Arizona Senate candidate Blake Masters – who narrowly lost to incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly.

The McConnell-aligned Senate Majority PAC pulled cash out of Masters’ race in August.

‘Why did he pull out that money from Masters ,who desperately needed it?’ Cruz posed. ‘Because Masters said he would vote against Mitch McConnell [for Senate GOP Leader].’

‘And so Mitch would rather be leader than have a Republican majority. If there’s a Republican who can win, who’s not going to support Mitch, truth of the matter is he’d rather the Democrat win. So he pulled all the money out of Arizona.’

Donald Trump and his allies have been holding McConnell responsible for Republicans' failure to win the Senate, while figures aligned with the GOP leader say the opposite

Cruz said at a different point, ‘Mitch, his philosophy as leader is to snuggle up to the Democrats and work with the Democrats.’

Among the other senators who back delaying the leadership vote and thus undercutting McConnell are South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, Utah Sen. Mike Lee, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.

And Trump, who has not been shy about calling for McConnell’s removal from leadership, laid blame for Republicans’ Senate loss squarely at McConnell’s feet on Sunday.

‘It’s Mitch McConnell’s fault. Spending money to defeat great Republican candidates instead of backing Blake Masters and others was a big mistake,’ Trump wrote on his Truth Social app.

‘Giving 4 Trillion Dollars to the Radical Left for the Green New Deal, not Infrastructure, was an even bigger mistake,’ Trump said. ‘He blew the Midterms, and everyone despises him and his otherwise lovely wife, Coco Chow!’

Democrats retained control of the Senate with a 50th seat called for the party on Saturday, and the House is still up in the air

Trump and others have blamed McConnell for pouring millions into the Alaska Senate race to support GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski against a Trump-backed Republican rival at the expense of candidates whose races would have an effect on the party makeup of the Senate.

But McConnell has no serious challenger to his leadership right now, as explained by Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton on CBS News this Sunday.

‘I don’t see why we would delay the election, since all five or six of our leadership elections are uncontested,’ Cotton told Face The Nation.

‘You know, the great wrestling champion Ric Flair used to say, to be the man, you got to beat the man. And so far, no one’s had the nerve to step forward and challenge Senator McConnell.’

He added that it was better to get the elections out of the way so the party could once again unify to focus on the Georgia runoff.

While Sofia Vergara has been back in the news lately after her surprise split from Joe Manganiello, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice took a swipe at her.

Giudice, 51, was on her Namaste B$tches podcast with co-host Melissa Pfeister, where she opened up about a 2017 encounter with the Modern Family star, 51.

The reality star revealed that she was at the same event with Vergara, when their PR people suggested they take a photo together, though it didn’t exactly go well.

‘My PR person from Bravo spoke to her PR person, now I didn’t even know any of this,’ Giudice began on the podcast.

‘Sofia Vegara’s PR person and my PR person spoke together, and I guess the two of them said, “Let’s get a picture of Teresa and Sofia together,” Giudice added.

‘I didn’t want a picture with her. I never ask to take a picture with anybody,’ Giudice insisted.

‘I didn’t care to take a picture with her. I’m so not like that. I don’t go out of my way to take a picture with anybody, just to put it on my Instagram, because I just don’t care’ she continued.

‘When we went to go take picture, she was like standing in front of me. It’s like, “OK, that’s not how you take a picture,” Giudice added.

‘She was like, the most rudest (sic) woman I’ve ever met. Like, I saw her whole demeanor, and then I heard her say to her PR person, “Why you making me take a picture with that lady?”‘ Guidice added, mocking Vergara’s Colombian accent.

‘I was just like, “Excuse me?” I said, ‘I did not want to take a picture with you.’ I said, ‘I would never ask to take a picture with you.’

“She just looked at me,” Giudice says of Vergara, before admitting the women walked away from one another without a photo.

‘I was like, “How rude… You’re so not a humble person. You forgot where you came from. It’s not like she, you know, she started out like being on the top, you know…”‘ she continued.

‘She forgot where she came from. She was so not a down-to-earth person. So not a fan of her,’ Guidice concluded.
