Sylvester Stallone is known for playing Italian-American Rocky Balboa in the Oscar-winning film from 1976, but today he was caught sparring with one opponent he probably never expected to face. 

For his visit to the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican City, the action star was accompanied by his wife, Jennifer Flavin, and their three adult daughters Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet, as well as his brother, Frank. 

Playing up to his public persona, Stallone was seen in a video sparring with the 86-year-old pontiff, starting it off by saying: ‘Ready, we box.’

He then raised his fists like a prized fighter before the pope, wearing his traditional white clothes and a skullcap, did his best imitation. 

Posting about the encounter on Instagram, accompanied by an image of him holding five key rings with several keys on each, Stallone, 77, wrote: ‘Very rare and special moment. I was allowed to hold the KEYS that open EVERY single door in the entire Vatican City! Including the Sistine Chapel. 

‘Of course they wouldn’t let me out of their sight with the KEYS … I don’t blame them!’

Referring to his daughter, he said, ‘so glad we named our beautiful daughter this beautiful name, “Sistine.”‘

Stallone’s Rocky Balboa character was the child in a Roman Catholic Italian-American family, reflecting the heritage of his father.

The action movie legend was in Italy promoting his Paramount + show, ‘Tulsa King,’ set to be streamed from November 15. 

In the series, Stallone plays mafia member Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi who tries to reconnect with his gangster family after his prison release. 

Exiled from his former family, he then moves from New York to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he starts a criminal empire. 

In September last year, Stallone and his estranged wife called off their divorce and reconciled.

The couple, who have been together for 26 years, ‘decided to meet up at home, where they talked and were able to work out their differences’.

‘They are both extremely happy,’ his rep told Page Six.

Their reconciliation came one month after Flavin, 55, filed for divorce.

A ‘fish doorbell’ website is taking the internet by storm, with more than eight million internet users checking out the site this year alone. 

What’s the hook? The site live streams footage from an underwater webcam at the Weerdsluis lock in the Dutch city of Utrecht’s canal system. 

When fish appear before the camera, internet users can press a digital ‘doorbell’ that alerts the lock operator, who can then open the lock, letting the fish through the sluice gate.

The doorbell operates from March to June each year, when fish are migrating from deep rivers and canals to shallow streams and ditches as part of their reproductive cycle. This year, internet users rang the bell over 105,000 times to help many thousands of fish through the lock.

The introduction of the doorbell, which was launched in 2021, means that fish don’t have to wait as long as they once did for the lock to open, making them less vulnerable to getting eaten by herons and cormorants. 

The website notes: ‘Fish are an important part of the water in Utrecht… they eat water insects and help maintain good water quality. That’s why we help fish on their annual migration to a good place to lay eggs and reproduce.’  

Internet users can also track how many fish species pass the lock. This year, perch and bream were the most commonly spotted fish, it’s revealed, while more unusual fish species such as catfish and eels were also sighted. 

The site features a gallery of the ‘cutest fish photos’ that have been captured by internet users via the webcam. 

The majority of the site’s users are from Germany and the U.S, but there are also many from the Netherlands, Britain, Austria, Switzerland and Canada.

Sharing their enthusiasm for the doorbell, Twitter user ‘DustOnBothSides’ wrote: ‘I just rang the fish doorbell for a pike. Exciting!’

And user ‘ryan-cw’ said: ‘Having the time of my life operating the fish doorbell.’ While Dr Laurence Datrier wrote: ‘Just saw two fish on the fish doorbell website, what a thrill.’

Earlier this year, a stone from Utrecht’s 14th-century Dom Tower was placed in the water, in front of the camera, and it has proven a hit with the fish that approach the lock, giving them a place to hide and feed.

Linda Voortman, a politician for the Netherlands’ Green party, explained: ‘It was fascinating to see the positive effect the one stone had underwater… we are really expanding the habitat of fish in our waters by adding more relief and structure underwater. The more protrusions and aquatic plants in the water, the more hiding and feeding places for fish.’ 

Commenting on the doorbell, Voortman said: ‘It is hugely popular internationally. That shows how much people enjoy the fish doorbell, but also how important it is. It is a wonderful initiative to increase knowledge about nature under water and in the city.

‘It is great that so many people are enthusiastic about it. It is important that animals can move freely through Utrecht. And a good and green environment also contributes to a pleasant and healthy living environment for people.’

The doorbell also helps to educate local schoolchildren about Holland’s aquatic life. This spring, primary-school-age children were invited to the lock to learn about the doorbell initiative, which is a collaborative project of the Municipality of Utrecht, the ‘De Stichtse Rijnlanden’ water board and environmental services firm Oak Consultants.

Joe Jonas has been seen going without his wedding ring multiple times in recent weeks, and he is now reportedly preparing to file for divorce from his wife Sophie Turner.

The 34-year-old Jonas Brothers singer has also reportedly retained a divorce attorney, according to People.

At least as early as August 11, Jonas was seen with a bare left ring finger while taking care of some errands in The West Village in Manhattan.

DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Jonas, while a representative of Turner declined to comment.

The couple were married in two ceremonies in 2019, with the first taking place as an impromptu Las Vegas wedding the night after the 2019 Billboard Music Awards 

TMZ previously reported that the musician and actor had been meeting with divorce lawyers. Sources close to the situation also claimed that he was preparing to file divorce documents.

On August 11, he was seen in a casual black T-shirt and matching shorts that showed off his fit, tattooed figure while out in New York City.

He had a somewhat anonymous look with a black baseball cap and tinted glasses, and he carried an iced coffee and a Puma shopping back in his hands.

Missing from his left ring finger was the band he normally wears to commemorate his marriage to Sophie.

Joe and the 27-year-old Game Of Thrones star are said to have been having ‘serious problems’ for the past half year.

Sources told the publication that Joe has been primarily handling parenting duties in recent months.

They said he had been caring for their two young daughters — Willa, three, and a one-year-old girl whose name has not been publicly revealed — ‘pretty much all of the time’ for the past three months.

It’s unclear where Sophie has been or what has caused the arrangement leaving Joe to reportedly take the lead, though she has continued to act since the end of her HBO series Game Of Thrones.

That has meant that he has been handling solo parenting even as he tours with his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas as The Jonas Brothers, and he’s reportedly still the one with the kids currently.

The two tend to share few details about their family life, and Sophie even avoided sharing any photos that revealed she was pregnant until after giving birth to Willa, while she and Joe have revealed even less about their younger daughter.

Details on what came between the couple are scarce, but they haven’t been spotted together in public for months, and they were apparently photographed together most recently in April when they were seen arriving at an afterparty in London that Jonas was DJing at.

Both Joe and Sophie continued to attend public events as a couple earlier this year, but the musician has been spotted on his own without his wedding ring in recent weeks. 

However, the couple continued to put on a strong face, though not in the same frame. Just one day after Joe was seen ringless on August 11, an eyewitness told Page Six that Sophie had attended a Jonas Brothers concert in Yankee Stadium.

She was reportedly seen partying with Nick’s wife Priyanka Chopra and Kevin’s wife Danielle Jonas, though she and Joe don’t appear to have been pictured together that night. Sophie does not appear to have attended any subsequent Jonas Brothers shows.

Complicating the picture somewhat was a later reappearance of Joe’s wedding ring. He was spotted out again with the band on August 21, and he also had the ring on during a Jonas Brothers performance in Detroit, Michigan, on August 24.

Three months ago, the couple sold their Miami mansion for a cool $15 million — but that was after they were forced to slash the asking price by $2 million in order to get it to move.

However, that was still a significant profit for the two, who had bought it just two years earlier for $11 million.

It’s unclear where Joe and Sophie have made their primary residence since selling off their mansion.

They previously purchased a New York City condo in 2018 for $5.6 million, but they had reportedly listed it for $5.9 million in 2020, and it’s unclear if the condo was ever sold.

Joe and Sophie were first linked in 2016, when they were spotted together multiple times and were seen kissing in November at a Kings of Leon concert held before the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Sources had confirmed the relationship by December, and the lovebirds went public with it in January 2017 when Sophie shared a photo of Joe on Instagram. 

In October 2017, Joe and Sophie revealed that they were engaged. 

In 2019, they made things official with a last-minute ceremony held at A Little White Wedding Chapel, the famous wedding venue in Las Vegas.

They later revealed that they had not told their parents in advance, but their secret got out thanks to their guest Diplo, who livestreamed the ceremony with his phone.

In July 2020, Sophie gave birth to her and Joe’s first child, a daughter named Willa.

She avoided sharing any photos featuring her pregnant stomach before the birth, and it wasn’t until September of that year that she began posting throwback photos from her pregnancy. 

The couple had originally been based in Los Angeles, but in September 2021 they sold their West Coast home in favor of the Miami mansion.

In May of last year, Sophie told Elle UK that she hoped their family would be able to relocate to England.

‘We’re very lucky to live in Miami. We have good weather and live by the water,’ she said. ‘I really love living in America but, for my mental health, I have to be around my friends and my family. And also for my daughter — I would love her to get the education and school life that I was so lucky to have. England would ideally be the final destination, but [Joe] might take quite a bit of convincing!’

They went on to welcome their second daughter in July 2022, though this time they were more tight-lipped when it came to her name.

Sophie didn’t betray a hint of cracks in her marriage when she posted a cute photo of herself and Joe in matching striped pajamas to mark his 34th birthday on August 15 of this year.

A metal detectorist has unearthed an ancient ‘posy’ gold ring believed to have been hidden by the Sheriff of Nottingham centuries ago.

Andy Taylor, 57, from Lincoln, dug up the 460-year-old ring in July 2020 on farmland in Rushcliff, roughly 27 miles from Sherwood Forest which is historically associated with the legend of Robin Hood. 

The ring, dating back to circa 1560, was a popular 16th century love token. It weighs 15g and bears the mystery message ‘I Meane Ryght’.

Experts believe it may have been part of a hoard of treasure hidden by the Sheriff of Nottingham or a member of his family.

Mr Taylor, who has been metal detecting for eight years and works for a water company, discovered the jewellery five minutes before his friend Graham Harrison, 65, found a signet ring believed to belong to a former Sheriff of Nottingham.

Mr Harrison’s find, which sold for £8,500 at auction last March, bore the crest of the Jenison family who served as High Sheriffs of Nottingham hundreds of years ago.

Sir Matthew Jenison was tasked with looking after the trees of Sherwood Forest – where folklore has it that the legendary outlaw hid out with his band of merry men.

Legend also has it that the Jenisons gleaned great wealth from valuables left in their safekeeping during the Civil War which were never reclaimed.

This theory was seemingly corroborated when a buried hoard of Civil War silver coins was unearthed from the same field where both rings were found.

Mr Taylor now believes his posy ring, found during a metal detecting club event, may have belonged to a Sheriff of Nottingham too or someone known to him.

‘I found it on a sunny July day in 2020. I was on a dig with around a dozen people from a metal detecting club,’ Mr Taylor said.

‘We were on farmer’s land at Radcliffe-on-Trent in Rushcliffe, Nottinghamshire.

‘It was so hot, I decided to go back to my car to fetch my drink. I was lucky. Just as I turned back, I picked up a lovely strong signal.

‘I dug a divot in the sandy soil and there was the ring, just looking at me. It was an exciting find. When that signal goes off you never know whether it will be a ring-pull or ancient treasure.

‘Within five minutes of me finding it, Graham dug up the Sheriff of Nottingham ring nearby. Some coins were discovered in the area on the same day too.

‘I’m 95 per cent certain both the rings and coins originally belonged to the same person. They were all found within 10 square metres of each other.

‘The land had been disturbed by a pipe being laid at some point, otherwise they might have been closer together. In my opinion it was a stash of valuables buried at the same time. Legend has it that the Sheriff of Nottingham’s family hid valuables

‘I think the ring may have belonged to him or someone close to him. It appears to be a man’s posy ring, which is unusual.

‘It’s the second largest ring of its type ever seen according to a report I received from the British Museum.

‘I have never sold any of my metal detecting discoveries before but if I don’t part with the ring it will just be stuck in a pot forever with my best finds. I would like it to go to someone who will appreciate its historical value.’

The ring will now go under the hammer at Hansons Auctioneers in Etwall, Derbyshire, in October with a guide price between £2,000 and £3,000. 

Charles Hanson, who owns Hansons Auctioneers, said: ‘This posy ring is awash with intrigue thanks to its mystery message and possible connection to the Sheriff of Nottingham or the Jenison family.

‘The Nottinghamshire branch of the Jenison family first appeared as aldermen of Newark in 1580. Each generation served as aldermen and, after the 1626 charter, as mayors.

‘I suspect the posy ring was lost, or buried for safekeeping, in the mid-16th century, perhaps in the reign of the short-lived Edward IV or in the very early years of Queen Elizabeth I’s reign (1558 to 1603).

‘The font reflects the Roman capitals used until around 1560. After that time italics started to make an appearance.

‘Posy rings were often used as betrothal or wedding rings centuries ago. The messages inscribed inside were a secret to all but the wearer and giver, so we can never be certain what ‘I Meane Ryght’ meant to the owner of the ring.

‘Its weight indicates its owner was wealthy. It was likely given as a token of love or esteem nearly 500 years ago.’

Mr Hanson added: ‘It’s remarkable to think this ring was probably given to its original wearer 120 years before the Great Fire of London in 1666 and was crafted out of gold before the Spanish Armada set sail in 1588.

‘For any lover of history it has to be the ultimate gift. Of course, mention of the Sheriff of Nottingham reminds us of Robin Hood but the signet ring sold in 2022 related to a later sheriff.

‘Tales of Robin Hood emerged in English folklore as early as the 13th and 14th centuries.

‘Nevertheless, these finds still evoke those memories and remind us of Nottinghamshire life during the turbulent times of the 16th and 17th centuries.’

Police have busted an air hostess sex ring that had up to 30 cabin crew moonlighting as escorts – charging wealthy clients up to £2,360 a night in Vietnam.

Officers raided a luxury hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday evening, where they allegedly found three active flight attendants in bed with different men.

A fourth woman, who is a model, was also arrested while romping with a customer.

The group was frogmarched out of the building on Le Thi Rieng Street in an upmarket area of the city.

Police also arrested the alleged ringleader Vo Thi My Hanh, 26, and took her into custody. She allegedly sent men pictures of her girls in their airline uniforms to lure in customers.

Officers said that Vo Thi My Hanh was an air hostess with flag carrier Vietnam Airlines before she left several months ago to focus on being a full-time madam, while also seeing customers herself. 

She has been pictured alongside planes in uniform.

Cops said Vo Thi My Hanh is now being held in custody on suspicion of prostitution and brokering sex services.

The Ho Chi Minh City Police Department said in a statement on Thursday: ‘On August 9, 2023, the Criminal Police Department presided over and coordinated with the District 1 Police to deploy the plan to dismantle the sex ring.

‘An inspection was conducted of the hotel on Le Thi Rieng Street of Ben Thanh ward, District 1, where officers found that in four rooms, there were four subjects engaging in prostitution. Three were flight attendants and one was a model all in their twenties.

‘The suspect Vo Thi My Hanh was detained for the act of brokering sex.

‘At the police station, the four women claimed to have been employed by the suspect who sold them for sex at the hotel for $1,000 (£787) to $3,000 (£2,360). They admitted to committing the offence.

‘Vo Thi My Hanh admitted to contacting many flight attendants, “hot girls” and photo models, then sent pictures of prostitutes in flight attendant uniforms to get customers to hire them for sex.’

Officers said buyers would transfer the money to Vo Thi My Hanh who would then arrange the meeting between the men and the cabin crew – many of whom were her former colleagues and girls from other airlines.

Astonishingly, some men would even hire two flight attendants at a time for threesomes all night.

The statement added: ‘The suspect Vo Thi My Hanh also directly participated in selling sex herself buyers in the city of Hanoi, Ba Ria, Vung Tau.

‘Currently, the Investigative Police Department, City Public Security and Criminal Police Department continue to consolidate documents and evidence while investigating the case and strictly handling it in accordance with the law.

‘The Investigation Police Agency calls on the accomplices of the suspect to come to the headquarters of the Criminal Police Department in Ho Chi Minh City to surrender and be granted leniency.’

Alleged high-class prostitute Vo Thi My Hanh allegedly targeted her former colleagues with offers of extra income while they were on layovers in Vietnam. She also recruited models in the city.

Police claim there were at least 30 women on her books.

They were mainly air hostesses, who had already been through gruelling interviews to ensure they were pretty enough and had the right physique to be working at the airline – making them perfect for wealthy clients from around the world willing to pay large sums.

Vo Thi My Hanh would allegedly collect seven million VND (£231) as her fee for each booking.

She charged men £787 for a 90-minute session with the girls or £2,360 for an overnight stay.

Police said that the madam had made more than one billion VND (£33,000) for herself in just a few months.

Her social media profiles show her working as a cabin crew with Vietnam Airlines, welcoming customers and VIP guests. 

She also posted pictures of her on yachts and staying at luxury destinations around the world.

Officers claim it was part of a ruse to draw other women into her lifestyle. 

Cops are now trying to trace others involved in the prostitution ring and have appealed for other people involved to come forward with more information.

Kevin Costner‘s wife Christine Baumgartner was seen without her wedding ring following news she filed for divorce from the actor after 18 years of marriage.

Baumgartner, 49 – who shares three children with Costner, 68 – was photographed for the first time since the news broke as she ran errands in Santa Barbara on Wednesday.

It was revealed Tuesday that Baumgartner, a fashion designer and Costner’s second wife, had cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ in her divorce filing on Monday, May 1 and requested joint custody.

Costner was ‘completely blindsided’ by Baumgartner’s decision to call it quits, according to TMZ.

Although he’s previously faced allegations of infidelity, a rep for Costner has insisted that the TV star remained faithful to Baumgartner throughout their marriage.

It was also reported Wednesday that Costner will not be returning to his hit Pararmount+ series Yellowstone despite an unfinished fifth season.

Rumored tensions between Costner and showrunner Taylor Sheridan – who a source told DailyMail.com had developed a ‘God complex’ – may have contributed to his abrupt exit.

Baumgartner is said to not be filing for spousal support despite her husband’s $250million net worth. 

Costner filed his response on Tuesday, and he is also seeking joint custody of their children – Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12.

‘It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action,’ a representative for Costner said in a statement.

‘We ask that his, Christine’s and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time,’ it concluded. 

Costner’s response was filed by celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who has represented the likes of reality TV star Kim Kardashian and Academy Award-winner Angelina Jolie.

‘Spousal support to be payable to petitioner pursuant to the terms of the parties’ Premarital Agreement,’ Wasser said, indicating there is a pre-nuptial agreement between Costner and Baumgartner.

A representative for Costner informed Page Six on Wednesday that any allegations that the actor cheated on his spouse are ‘absolutely not true.’

A source who claims to be close to Costner also told the outlet that ‘there was no issue of cheating at all’ and that he remains ‘very surprised by Christine’s actions.’

They continued: ‘He obviously doesn’t want the divorce and he would take her back. It’s disappointing, he loves her and he loves his children.’

The insider also stated that they ‘have no idea if Kevin even knows what the reasons are’ for the split.

TMZ was the first to report the divorce news.

The Bodyguard star was previously married to Cindy Silva from 1978 to 1994 and they share three children – Annie, 39, Lily, 36, and Joe, 35.

He also shares a son Liam Costner with Bridget Rooney, who he dated after his split with Silva.

Last year, RadarOnline claimed that Baumgartner was fed up with Costner’s intense shooting schedule and put pressure on him to exit the Paramount+ show after season five.

‘It’s really knocked a hole in their family life,’ a source told the outlet. ‘The show is such a mega-hit, producers want it to go on forever!’

They continued: ‘However, Christine wants her husband to hang up his cowboy hat.’

She allegedly posed an ultimatum to her longtime spouse. 

‘She wants a firm commitment this is his last season — or he might have to hit the dusty trail!’

Costner has led the cast as patriarch John Dutton since 2018 and raked in $1.5million per episode.

ET reported Wednesday that Costner made the decision to depart the hit Western show – which broke records with 12.1 million viewers for its season five premiere.

The second half of season five has yet to be finished, and no update has been provided on when the cast and crew are set to return to Montana to continue working on the remainder of the season.

The uncertainty has led to lots of confusion and frustration, the outlet added.

A spin-off with Matthew McConaughey in the lead role is moving forward. Last month, Paramount president and CEO Chris McCarthy has said the new show starring McConaughey will go on, regardless of whether Costner decides to stay with the original series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In April, DailyMail.com reported new details about Costner’s rift with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan.

Sources claimed Sheridan developed a ‘God complex’ which left Costner reportedly frustrated with the development of the hit Paramount Network series.

The outlet also claimed morale had been dwindling among the cast as they are not kept up to date on Costner’s negotiations with producers.

‘Kevin will forever be proud of and grateful for Yellowstone and the cast is like family to him,’ the source said of Costner, who recently nabbed a Golden Globe Award for best actor for his portrayal of John Dutton.

‘He just felt like Yellowstone is headed in a direction that was not in line with their initial vision and he was met with criticism, including that he should just stick to acting.’

Adding to the uncertainty around the series is the fact that a date has not been set for when filming will commence for the second half of the latest season, which could be disrupted by an impending writers strike after members of the Writers Guild of America voted to authorize a shutdown over pay issues.

Last month, the New York Post reported that Costner’s desire to cut down his workload on the fifth season to focus on other projects was also to blame for the tension between him and Sheridan.

‘It’s the same as with any show runner and big star — there’s respect, but there’s friction,’ a source described as ‘well-placed’ within the production told the outlet.

Costner is currently directing and starring in Horizon, a western film series consisting of four separate movies that will be released three months apart from each other.

Each film is close to three hours long and after the quadruple release, Horizon is going to be broken into a series for television – each with 42-minute episodes.

Another ‘highly placed’ Hollywood source told the outlet that some of the blame for the ‘friction’ on set lies with its creator.

‘Taylor is the star of his show. He’s the most important person on all of his shows,’ they said.

Deadline reported in February that Costner wanted to shoot for only a week on the second half of season five, after he had already shortened his work on the first half.

The apparent reason was that the actor wanted to focus on his upcoming Western film franchise Horizon.

But Costner’s attorney Marty Singer shot back after the report and claimed to Puck News that it was an ‘absolute lie’ that his client would only shoot for a week.

‘As everyone who knows anything about Kevin is well aware, he is incredibly passionate about the show and has always gone way above and beyond to ensure its success,’ he said at the time.

Other inside sources have claimed that Sheridan’s lack of preparation has caused major delays with the production of the show – with one suggesting that Costner had made himself readily available to shoot, only for the creator’s own ‘overburdened’ schedule to get in the way.

They added that Sheridan was ‘overburdened’ and ‘nothing was ready’ even after Costner ‘made himself available.’

They said that Costner was prepared to shoot the second half of the season sometime last year, as well as in January of this year, but there were allegedly no completed scripts to shoot at the time.

‘Kevin’s been extremely cooperative with working with Taylor and his production company, 101 Studios. They were supposed to shoot the second chapter of Season five late last year, but they just didn’t have the scripts,’ a source told the Post.

‘Kevin had already committed to making his other movies. He had given the producers his schedule. There was nothing to shoot.’

There have also been reports that Costner’s beloved character John Dutton will be killed off in the back half of Yellowstone’s current fifth season.

It’s unclear when production will begin on the new episodes for Yellowstone Season 5, or if those episodes will feature the death of Dutton.

Costner took home the Golden Globe for his performance at the 2023 ceremony, though he did not accept the honor in person.
