US health officials are looking into reports that the iPhone 12 emits harmful levels of radiation — after sales were temporarily halted in Europe due to safety fears.

A spokesperson for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) — which is partly responsible for making sure cellphones are safe — told DailyMail.com the agency was ‘reviewing the available information’.

It comes after a regulator in France this week asked Apple to stop selling the 2020 iPhone 12, claiming tests found the handset emits radiation levels that exceed EU restrictions. 

Germany, Belgium and Spain have all signaled they could follow suit. Apple has disputed the findings, but the news has reignited deep-rooted fears about health and cellphone usage.

More than 81million iPhones were sold in the United States in 2021, the year after the model’s release. It is unclear how many Americans still own a device that is now three years old.

In a statement to DailyMail.com, a spokesman said: ‘In general, the FDA does not comment on specific studies or test results, but evaluates them as part of the body of evidence to further our understanding about a particular issue and assist in our mission to protect public health.

‘The FDA is reviewing the available information.’

The agency is responsible for regulating the safety of phones along with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The FCC declined to comment when contacted by DailyMail.com.

The Agence Nationale des Fréquences (ANFR) initially raised the alarm on Tuesday, claiming that the iPhone 12 had failed its latest round of routine testing – with radiation levels 40 percent above what the regulator says is acceptable.

But most experts say even if the higher radiation levels are true, they are ‘not sufficient’ enough to harm people.

There are old fears about the effects of phones on health, having previously been linked to brain cancer and fertility issues, but these have never been proven conclusively. 

Dr Devra Davis, an epidemiologist who has been studying the dangers of radiofrequency released from phones since the early 2000s, told DailyMail.com the FDA should ‘absolutely’ investigate the iPhone 12.

‘Why should French people be more protected than Americans?,’ she added.

Dr Joel Moskowitz, who researches the adverse effects of cellphone radiation at the University of California, Berkeley, said he hoped the reports from France prompted an investigation.

He told DailyMail.com: ‘I hope the French Apple 12 emissions debacle triggers an independent investigation in the US regarding SAR testing procedures for authorization for all wireless devices. 

‘In 2012, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) issued a report at the request of the Congress which raised major concerns about the SAR testing protocol, but it was ignored by the FCC.’

In routine testing, French regulators found the iPhone 12 emitted radiation levels that were 40 percent above permissible levels when it was next to a human.

Radiation from cellphones is measured in Europe using the specific absorption rate (SAR), or the amount of power absorbed by the body from a particular source per kilogram of body-weight.

More than 100million iPhone 12’s have been sold worldwide, while in the US an estimated 135million people own an iPhone.

In 2021, a year after the iPhone 12’s release, the number of iPhone owners sat at around 116million users. 

French digital minister Jean-Noel Barrot stressed the iPhone 12’s radiation levels were much lower than those that scientific studies say could cause harm.

He added that a software update would be able to solve the issue.

Dr Rodney Croft, a neurophysiologist in Australia and chair of the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection, said: ‘From a health and safety point of view, it is not as if this is putting anyone at risk.’

The safety levels — based on the risks of burns or heatstroke from the phone’s radiation — are already set ten times below the level where scientists found evidence of harm.

Dr Croft added that France’s findings may differ from those of other regulators because measurement methods vary between different regulators.

France has previously stopped the sales of 42 smartphones in the country over radiation concerns. This is the first time Apple has been hit.

Apple currently has two weeks in which to respond but has already said it will issue a software update to fix the issue.

French regulators say they will need to test the software before they can put the phone back on the market.

The software update will only affect phones in France, and not those in other countries, they added. 

Previous research has suggested exposure to radiation from phones can cause everything from cancer to fertility issues.

But many researchers seek to pour cold water on these results, saying the tests were done in animals and exposure levels were very high in order to cause the issue.

‘Currently there is no strong evidence that exposure to electromagnetic fields during mobile phone use is associated with adverse health effects,’ Maria Feychting, a professor of epidemiology at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, said.

‘However, there are still some uncertainties and further research is needed, especially regarding the higher frequencies that will be used by 5G.’

It is worth pointing out that the International Agency for Research on Cancer, which is an offshoot of the WHO, has previously claimed that certain radio frequencies at extreme levels are ‘possibly carcinogenic to humans’.

However, this is thought to be unlikely.

Apple said in a statement that its phone complied with standards worldwide but that it would ‘issue a software update for users in France to accommodate the protocol used by French regulators’.

They added: ‘This is related to a specific testing protocol used by French regulators and not a safety concern.’ 

The iPhone 12 was first released in September 2020 and is still sold worldwide, although Apple is now seeking to phase it out following the release of the iPhone 15.

Apple tech support staff are being told not to volunteer any information about the phones.

A British couple on holiday in Crete have been accused of walking out of at least three tavernas without paying.

The couple whose identity is not known are reported to have happily tucked into food and drinks before complaining loudly about their meals and refusing to pay.

They are said to have stormed off without settling their bills in at least three restaurants on separate nights around the village of Koutouloufari in the north of the idyllic Greek island.

The couple are believed to have last struck at the Ariadni Apartments restaurant which is acclaimed for its fine pizzas, seafood and traditional Greek food.

An outraged member of staff posted their picture on Facebook, along with message stating: ‘Keep an eye on this couple. After finishing their meal, they refuse to pay the bill.

‘We are third restaurant so far where they have tried this tactic. It’s good restaurant owners in the village communicate with each other so we know what to expect.’

The post on the Facebook group Koutouloufari For Ever attracted more than 200 comments including many from outraged British holidaymakers and ex-pats accusing the couple of heaping shame on the UK.

One woman rushed to defend the restaurant, posting: ‘Such beautiful people and place!! Shame on you.’

Another furiously posted: ‘How disgusting. How could anyone do such a thing to the lovely people around the area.

‘It’s people like that who give us English a bad name. I see it has been shared on the posts that I am a member of. I hope they rot in hell for what they have done.

‘They are probably on their way back home by now. So sorry to all those lovely people who have been affected x’.

A third Brit added: ‘Why can’t the taverna owners join forces and bring a few hefty brothers/cousins/mates in to the village as an “encouragement” for these lowlifes to pay up, if the cops won’t do anything?’.

One holidaymaker from Newcastle suggested that the couple may be from Liverpool in a comment saying: ‘There (sic) Scousers. I was actually there tonight when it happened. By the way, not bad mouthing Scousers. Good people etc, but ya always get a bad egg.’

But another holidaymaker added to confusion over the identity of the couple, saying: ‘I was sitting opposite them. Sounded like Cockneys to me, or was it Mancs?’

Former Ministry of Defence worker Mark Flynn, 59, who has lived in Crete for 16 years accused the couple of ‘taking advantage of the kindness of Greek people’.

He added: ‘It looks like they have been going into restaurants to eat. It is the custom here for places after a meal to provide a free dessert and a glass of the local raki firewater.

‘They then apparently started complaining in each place about the service and meal they had been given even though they had eaten and drunk everything.

‘As far as restaurants are concerned, it is often just easier for them to let people like that walk away, and forget about it, because most diners are very honest.

‘But in this case, it seems that this couple have gone too far and have tried the same stunt repeatedly in at least three places.

‘It is extremely unusual for local restaurants to post something like this because they don’t like to cause a scene, and it is a sign that they must have been very upset.’

Mr. Flynn who is from Plymouth, Devon, added: ‘It is the first time I have heard of Brits doing this in all my time here.

‘When it has previously happened, it has been Russians or Israelis. Everyone is really angry about it because the behaviour of one couple is giving all British people a bad name.

‘It is not a very nice thing to do at all. The Greeks are wonderful people and do not deserve to be abused like this.’

A woman posted on Facebook that she believed the couple had returned back to the UK on Tuesday last week.

After seeing the picture of the couple, she said that she had seen the man around the former Roman port town of Hersonissos which is near Koutouloufari and renowned for its peaceful beaches and ancient ruins.

The woman posted: ‘We were in Hersonissos until the 29th August. I’m certain I saw him at least once in Hersonissos during the week we were there, and on the last day (29th), I ‘m sure my partner spoke to him while we waited outside down town restaurant (bus stop 22) for our transfer.

‘He was very drunk and eating and drinking in the restaurant, and mentioned his transfer was later in the day.’

The Ariadni Palace Apartments have not yet responded to a request for comment.

The Cheetah Girls film was released on the Disney Channel 20 years ago on August 15, 2003.

The television musical starred Raven-Symoné, Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams and Sabrina Bryan, becoming a hit film that led to two more films in the franchise. 

The four stars appeared in the sequel The Cheetah Girls 2 in 2006, but only Adrienne, Sabrina and Kiely appeared in the final film – The Cheetah Girls: One World in 2008.

The Cheetah Girls was based on the novel with the same name by Deborah Gregory, with the film’s premise around four teen girls named Galleria, Aqua, Chanel and Dorinda who want to win a school talent show.

Raven-Symoné 

Raven-Symoné played the character Galleria ‘Bubbles’ Garibaldi in The Cheetah Girls.

The actress, now 37, got her start in Hollywood in 1989 on The Cosby Show, before landing roles in The Little Rascals, Dr. Doolittle and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Raven was a mainstay on Disney in the 1990s, starring in Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century and her own TV show called That’s So Raven.

She voiced a number of characters of hit shows for the channel: Stephanie in The Proud Family, Monique in Kim Possible

By the time she landed The Cheetah Girls, Raven was already a household name for ten years. 

Following the movie, Raven appeared in a number of Disney projects: Tinker Bell, Sonny With a Chance, K.C. Undercover, Cory in the House and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. 

Raven stars on Raven’s Home on the Disney Channel – it is a spinoff of her previous show That’s So Raven.

The show premiered in July 2017, and is currently in its sixth season. 

Raven also voices the character Maria Media in Big City Greens, an animated series on Disney Channel.

She has appeared on Nasville, Black-ish, The Masked Singer and a co-host on The View for four years from 2012 to 2016.

The star and wife Miranda Malay launched their podcast The Best Podcast Ever in July.

Raven and Miranda, a social media manager, tied the knot on June 16, 2020 in LA at Grey’s Anatomy star Debbie Allen’s home by the front garden.

Adrienne Bailon

Adrienne Bailon starred as Chanel ‘Chuchie’ Simmons in The Cheetah Girls. 

The star, 39, was discovered in 1999 at the age of 16 by Ricky Martin.

The star performed in a church choir in Madison Square Garden and was one of the chosen four of the group that was asked to join him on his Livin’ La Vida Loca tour stop that night as a backup dancer.

Soon after, Adrienne was spotted by a producer and asked if she wanted to join a new girl group called 3LW.

She joined Kiely Williams – her fellow Cheetah Girls co-star – and Naturi Naughton in the group, which was signed on to Epic Records.

3LW hits include the 2000 song No More (Baby I’ma Do Right) and Playas Gon’ Play in 2001, with their debut self-titled album going platinum.

Naturi announced she was no longer a member of the group and by 2022, 3LW was only Adrienne and Kiely.

A new third member named Jessica Benson joined the group in 2003.

After The Cheetah Girls film became a hit, Adrienne, Kiely and Sabrina became a real-life group, releasing a Christmas album called Cheetah-licious Christmas  in 2005 – Raven had declined working on the album and also being in the group in order to focus on her solo endeavors.  

Their follow up album TCG dropped 2007.

Adrienne starred in The Cheetah Girls 2 and The Cheetah Girls: One World.

3LW officially announced they disbanded in 2008 so Adrienne and Kiely could focus on The Cheetah Girls.

Adrienne appeared on That’s So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody; she starred in Empire Girls: Julissa and Adrienne in 2012, served as a co-host on The Real from 2013 until 2022 and is currently a co-anchor on E! News.

 Adrienne, who previously dated Rob Kardashian, is married to musician Israel Houghton.

The singer/host and Israel, 52, are parents to one-year-old son Ever James, born August 5, 2022 via surrogate. 

He has six children from previous relationships.

Adrienne and Israel started dating in 2016, got engaged six months later and wed November 11, 2016. 

Kiely Williams

Kiely, 37, played the character Aquanette ‘Aqua’ Walker in The Cheetah Girls, The Cheetah Girls 2 and The Cheetah Girls: One World.

She joined the girl group 3LW with Adrienne and Naturi in 1999, and like Adrienne, found success with both the band and The Cheetah Girls franchise.

Adrienne and Kiely were working on a 3LW album when they both signed on to star in the first Cheetah Girls film. 

After The Cheetah Girls disbanded in 2008, Kiely worked on a solo music career as well as acting.

She starred in Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale and Stomp Yard: Homecoming – both released in 2010.

Kiely released a single called Spectacular in 2009.

Kiely and Sabrina starred together in several web series: Dinner With Friends, March Moms and Bad Sex With Good People. 

She also starred in BET Presents: The Encore.

Kiely has two children with husband Brandon Cox: a daughter born in 2018 and a second in March 2022. 

Sabrina served as a bridesmaid for Kiely.

Sabrina Bryan

Sabrina played Dorinda ‘Do’ Thomas in all three Cheetah Girls films.

In addition to the Cheetah Girls franchise, Sabrina has appeared in Mrs. Santa Claus, Mostly Ghostly, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Gina Davis Show, The Jersey and Grounded for Life. 

She appeared in season 5 of Dancing With The Stars in 2007.

Sabrina also starred in the All Stars season of Dancing With The Stars in 2012.

The actress has also served as a correspondent for Dancing With The Stars for E! News, TV Guide and also abc.com.

Sabrina is also an author; she co-wrote a book called Princess of Gossip Julia DeVillers.

Harry Styles is set to follow in Gwyneth Paltrow’s footsteps as he launches his own ‘sex-themed’ perfume. 

The singer, 29, will sell the scents as part of his lifestyle brand Pleasing, inspired by the Oscar winner’s own company Goop and infamous vagina candles. 

According to The Mirror Harry has named the aromas Rivulets, Closeness, Bright and Hot and aim to evoke ‘a delightful encounter with a stranger’.

The description for Closeness reads ‘a whispered ‘yes’, skin pressed against skin’ with Harry brining in Gwyneth’s former chief Goop designer Shaun Kearney as his brand’s CEO.

With a source telling the publication: ‘You only have to read the descriptions of the fragrances to see the influence of Shaun’.

Harry appeared enamoured by the beauty as he leaned in close and spoke in her ear, seemingly not noticing anyone else around him.

In photos obtained by TMZ, the Canadian-born star could be seen situated in a special VIP tent section at the concert alongside a crew member who had a variety of technical items in front of him. 

She reportedly was seen dancing the night away to the former One Direction singer’s hit tracks for the ‘entirety’ of the show and donned a chic, sleeveless white dress for the outing. 

According to the outlet, Russell was spotted out in Vienna before the concert on Saturday wearing the same white dress while standing next to a man who appeared to possibly be Styles in a viral Twitter photo. 

Following this, a short video shared by Pop Crave on Twitter showed the two stars enjoying an outing together in Vienna the day after the concert. 

In June, the singer and actress were spotted together for the first time as they exited a museum in London, and at one point, also reportedly held hands, per TMZ. The stars, however, have yet to publicly comment on the romance rumours. 

When the two stars first crossed paths is still unclear, but both Harry and Taylor attended the 79th Venice International Film Festival last year in September 2022.

Styles notably was promoting Don’t Worry Darling, while Russell celebrated the premiere of Bones And All. 

The Grammy winner previously dated Olivia Wilde from January 2021 until their split the following year in November 2022.

At the time of the break up, a source told People, ‘He’s still touring and is now going abroad. She is focusing on her kids and her work in L.A. It’s a very amicable decision,’ and added that, ‘They’re still very close friends.’

Steve Jobs took issue with putting the well-designed iPhone into plastic protectors, and years after his death, Apple could release a phone that doesn’t need a case.

The tech giant has been awarded a new patent that describes an  ‘abrasion-resistant’ surface less prone to scratches, scuffing or scrapes, eliminating the need for unsightly covers.

Images in the document show a gird of durable microbeads, less than the size of a pencil tip, that extends above the back panel of an iPhone that claims to protect the softer parts of the device’s casing.

Apple suggests designing the  ‘abrasion-resistant’ beads could be ‘composed of metals, glasses, ceramics, or other suitable materials.’ 

The beads, according to the patent, ‘may be embedded in the plastic material’ suggesting an iPhone back panel similar to the polycarbonate of past budget-conscious models of the iPhone, like the iPhone 5S and 5C released in 2013. 

These beads ‘may extend above a top surface of the plastic material,’ as detailed in the patent, Patent 11678445, which was filed on September 26, 2017, but only made granted and made public by the US Patent and Trademark Office this past Tuesday.

Across many iterations of the iPhone over the years, Apple has struggled and experimented on improving the device’s resilience to everyday wear and tear while maintaining the mobile device’s smooth, glossy finish.  

Last year’s iPhone 14 and 14 Plus boasted an IP68 standard (IEC standard 60529) waterproof ‘ceramic shield’ enveloping the entire phone, with a flat back panel of aluminum, available as stainless steel on the higher-end 14 Pro and Pro Max.

These sturdy-sounding materials nevertheless fared poorly in some product reviewer’s drop tests compared to iPhones 12 and 13. 

Apple’s new patent, titled ‘spatial composites,’ did offer hints that it had a plan on how to split the difference between durability and glamor: a ‘faceted’ surface to the exposed microbeads that would shimmer like polished gems 

‘Such facets may reflect the light in certain directions,’ according to the patent, ‘which may produce a desirable appearance, reflection, image, or color.’ 

Although diagrams submitted with the patent clearly suggest that this abrasion-resistant back panel was intended for the iPhone, its language indicates that more scratch-proof iPads, MacBooks and other devices could also be in the making. 

However, one of the few things Apple’s patent does not describe at all is how this texture might feel to the touch.

The ever-design-conscious Cupertino tech maker has patented innovations to get ahead of rivals or reserve concepts that it ultimately passed on. 

For example, nothing has yet come of Apple’s patent for a wallet-like foldable iPhone.

But the tough microbeads solve a pressing need for an innately tough iPhone made of materials that keep their sheen and aren’t so strong that they accidentally become an electromagnetic shield disrupting the whole point of a mobile phone.

Industry watchers speculate that this patent comes too late for incorporation into the inevitable iPhone 15. 

But some have wondered if the shimmering, sturdy beads might become a feature in the long-rumored and extremely high-performance iPhone Ultra, embedded in a back panel nestled in its equally long-rumored titanium chassis.

Kensington Palace has released a stunning behind-the-scenes video of the Prince and Princess of Wales at the King’s Coronation last week.

William and Kate made headlines with their eye-catching outfits at the historic crowning of King Charles III.

Their children Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, also stole the show at the ceremony watched by millions around the world.

A video released by the Wales’s official YouTube account provides a rare glimpse into their family life during the packed Coronation weekend.

The film captures the jubilant atmosphere of the celebration as it shows William and Kate meeting crowds of royal fans on the Mall outside Buckingham Palace the evening before the Coronation.

It then shows William and Kate getting ready at Kensington Palace along with Charlotte and Louis the following morning.

The royal couple can be seen wearing their stunning Royal Victorian Order Mantles, while Kate wowed with her white Alexander McQueen dress.

The family then leave the palace to travel to Westminster Abbey in a gold carriage, alongside thousands of armed forces personnel and Buckingham Palace household members.

William, Kate and their children are then spotted standing on the Buckingham Palace balcony along with other members of the Royal Family after the Coronation ceremony.

The royals and the thousands of people gathered outside the palace were then treated to a flyover by the Red Arrows despite the poor weather.

The following day, the family can be seen in the film pitching in for the Big Help Out – a volunteering event held across the country to celebrate the King’s years of public service.

Prince Louis can be seen helping out with a digger while his brother George has a go at archery before the family join in a group photo with the other volunteers.

The video ends with clips taken at the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle which starred Katy Perry, Lionel Ritchie and Take That before William makes a speech in honour of the King.

He told his father: ‘We are all so proud of you.’ 

The wholesome footage marks a contrast with the Netflix series released by Harry and Meghan which sparked controversy last year.

The couple made a series of bombshell claims against the royals, including Harry saying that his family had not understood that Meghan needed protection against racist attacks.

Meghan also described how she was shocked by the formality of the Royal Family and described how she bowed when she met the Queen.

The documentary sparked a war of words between the Sussexes and the rest of the royals.

Although the programme claimed that members of the royal family declined to comment, Kensington Palace said they had only received an email from a third party which they were unable to verify with Harry and Meghan’s company Archewell.

Harry travelled to the Coronation without Meghan from their home in Montecito, California last week.

The prince spent only 28 hours in the UK and is understood to have had only limited contact with his family members during his time there.

Following the end of the service at Westminster Abbey, Harry travelled straight to Heathrow where he boarded a flight back to the US for his son Archie’s birthday. 

The Prince and Princess of Wales have released new behind-the-scenes footage of their young children mucking in to help renovate a Scout hut as they led the nation in a day of volunteering for the Big Help Out event. 

As the Coronation weekend comes to a close, thousands across the country took part to try and give back to local communities.  

Prince William and Princess Kate volunteered to help renovate a Scout hut in Slough, Berkshire, with the help of their three young children, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.

The video compilation showed the three youngsters eagerly taking part, with Prince Louis spotted driving a JCB digger with the help of his father, pushing a rather large wheelbarrow and shovel soil. 

Eager to try everything from shovelling sand to painting a planter base and wheeling a barrow, the five-year-old royal ended the day splashed with paint but got his reward – a marshmallow-and-chocolate biscuit sandwich.

The two elder children were seen painting the park bench and playing archery.

The dazzling Princess of Wales was seen alongside her own children and scouts laughing as she toasted marshmallows on an open fire. 

When William took control of a digger and dumped a bucket full of earth onto a spoil heap, Louis was sat in his father’s lap after seeing nine-year-old George have a go and telling mum Kate ‘I want to go in with him’.

Louis was given his chance to take charge and asked ‘What does this one do?’ as he pulled a lever, but was not phased when the digger lurched back slightly and was encouraged by his father, who said ‘Keep going Louis, that’s it’.

Later, the five-year-old prince was given the task of filling a wheelbarrow with builders’ sand and he focused on the job, diligently shovelling the material before wheeling the barrow himself.

Kate watched over her son, telling him to shovel in a ‘bit more’ and when the barrow was a quarter full, Louis wheeled it away to help volunteers building a path and made a number of runs.

The young royals beavered away helping renovate the 3rd Upton Scouts Hut as the adults reset a path, dug a new soakaway, sanded and revarnished a door, screwed together planters and created a mural as a lasting legacy of their work.

Louis and Charlotte, aged eight, painted the brick base of a planter with masonry paint and as the young prince sploshed it about, his sister told him: ‘You’ve got paint in your hair! Louis, look at me! Look at me!’

The five-year-old carried on regardless and his sister added: ‘You’ve got to wipe it.’

One volunteer asked Louis: ‘You might want to be a painter when you grow up?’

To which Louis replied: ‘No, a fighter pilot.’

Nearby, George was given a drill and screwed wooden planters together, helped by a volunteer, as his father also assembled the boxes and at the end William quipped they would have to ‘clean up my mess’ but was told he had done a ‘good job’.

A boisterous Louis joined his sister making handprints on a mural inside the Scout building and when asked which prints were his, pointed as he said ‘I did one there, there and there’.

The three young royals took part in a game of archery which brought out the competitive spirit in the siblings, and later the family were presented with Scout scarves.

Scout member Milena Pereira said about the archery: ‘Charlotte mentioned she has done it before at home, but they were all determined to have a go.

‘They were really nice and respectful, a nice family, so today was a nice surprise, we didn’t know they were coming.’

Before leaving, Louis was treated to a ‘smore’ – a marshmallow-and-chocolate biscuit sandwich – as the youngster roasted marshmallows over a brazier.

William smiled and said: ‘You won’t hear a peep out of him now for about 20 minutes.’

And the five-year-old staggered around after taking a bite, as he enjoyed the moment, and bumped into his sister.

Kensington Palace described the event as Louis’ first royal engagement, although he has attended a number or high-profile royal events it is thought the Slough visit was the first time the prince has actively engaged with the public.

Matt Hyde, chief executive of The Scout Association, told the PA news agency: ‘We’ve had an extraordinary day, you could see the Prince and Princess of Wales and their family helped out and had a great time.

‘Prince Louis was leading the way with the wheelbarrow of sand that he was helping to repair a path.

‘They were all painting doors, they were helping screw together planting boxes and also there was lots of digging as well, which the Prince of Wales enjoyed.

Multiple Republicans in the House of Representatives are demanding the FBI release Nashville shooter Audrey Hale‘s manifesto, while a councilmember says she’s been told it’s a ‘blueprint on total destruction.’ 

It comes a week after a poll where two thirds of US voters said they want Nashville police to release the manifesto — a sign of growing frustration with the investigation into the deadly attack. 

Hale, who is transgender, fired 152 rounds from two assault rifles and a handgun, murdering Hallie Scruggs, William Kinney, Evelyn Dieckhaus, all 9, and headmistress Dr. Katherine Koonce, 60, substitute teacher Cynthia Peak, 61, and chef Mike Hill, 61 on March 27. 

Metro Nashville Councilmember Courtney Johnston said that, regardless of when, the manifesto will not be released in its entirety, noting what is expected to be a shocking read.

‘What I was told is, her manifesto was a blueprint on total destruction, and it was so, so detailed at the level of what she had planned,’ Johnston said. 

‘That document in the wrong person’s hands would be astronomically dangerous,’ she told the New York Post. 

Officers retrieved a ‘manifesto’, hand-drawn maps, a suicide note, 20 journals, laptops, phones and several writings, from Hale’s home and the Honda Fit she left in the school parking lot. 

Congressman Tim Burchett, a Republican from Tennessee, was disappointed by the news.

He believes it ‘could maybe tell us a little bit about what’s going on inside of her head. I think that would answer a lot of questions.’ 

Johnston, however, says after speaking with investigators, she doesn’t think it would be good for the rest of America to deal with the toll reading it has taken on them.

‘I personally don’t want to know the depths to which her psychosis reached … When I’m told by an MNPD high-ranking official that it keeps him up at night, I’m going to defer to that person in that agency that I don’t need to read that.’ 

The materials taken from Hale have been shared with the FBI’s behavioral analysis unit in Quantico, Virginia, and detail Hale’s ‘planning over a period of months to commit mass murder’ at the school, police said in a statement. 

‘The documents that we have, and I have viewed those, you know, one is specifically a plan and the other is some journal-type rantings,’ said Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director David Rausch. 

They feature none of the ‘ideological expressions’ found in other mass killers’ screeds, he said, such as the 35,000-word essay about the collapse of industrial society by ‘Unabomber’ Ted Kaczynski in 1995. 

Burchett’s fellow Tennessee Republican House member Andy Ogles said there should be an investigation if the full manifesto is not released.

Americans by wide margins want to see the screed, which many believe will reveal an agenda of violent trans extremism, and equal numbers are concerned that Hale’s attack will inspire more copycat strikes on Christian schools, pollsters found.

The Rasmussen Reports survey heaps pressure on Nashville cops to release Hale’s writings, even as officials backtrack on claims she left behind a manifesto, and say her texts are just ‘journal-type rantings.’

Walter Hudson, a Minnesota state representative, became the latest Republican politician to seek the documents’ release, saying they may explain Hale’s killing spree at The Covenant School on the morning of March 27.

‘We should absolutely know what motivated someone to shoot and kill six people, including three nine-year-old children,’ Hudson tweeted this week.

Caitlyn Jenner, Vernon Jones, former Trump White House adviser Sebastian Gorka and other conservatives have urged the Metro Nashville Police Department and the FBI to release the writings.

‘Why is the FBI keeping the transgender Nashville mass-murderer’s manifesto hidden?’ Gorka posted on Monday.

Hale was shot and killed by police at the school within minutes of the start of the attack.

A police spokeswoman on Tuesday told DailyMail.com the manifesto was still being studied in an ‘active investigation’ and that she did not ‘have a date, if, when, or how we’d release it at this point.’

Experts in manifestos have also told DailyMail.com that Hale’s writings more likely relate to her emotional difficulties than the blueprint for violent transgender extremism that some have been expecting. 

The Rasmussen Reports survey of nearly 1,000 Americans, carried out between March 30 and April 3 after Hale’s attack, found that respondents blame the nation’s spate of mass shootings on a range of reasons.

Some 42 percent say killers are driven by mental health problems, while 29 percent attribute attacks to the widespread availability of firearms. Other causes include social media (11 percent), school problems (7 percent), and family issues (6 percent).
