Revenge is a dish best served cold? Based on the evidence here in Japan, Max Verstappen isn’t a believer of that mantra.

No, this was a blistering retaliation. On the searing tarmac at Suzuka, Verstappen, as he has done on 12 separate occasions already this season, scorched his opposition. Perhaps those doubters would rather ‘suck on an egg’ than dare question the Dutchman again.

Verstappen, clear-minded after his Singapore blip and a drubbing of chief engineer Gianpiero Lambiase at padel tennis, arrived in Suzuka ready to send a message.

But where he’s shown a willingness to go toe-to-toe with rivals in the past in an obstinate slugfest, this was a punishing, one-sided, beatdown. He was the first driver on the track on Friday morning and hasn’t looked back, a gruelling 12-round demolition where he’s walked away without a bruise in sight.

Although an opportunistic Lando Norris attempted to surprise his close friend at lights out when he seized a gap left open by Verstappen. The Dutchman, pre-occupied by the Briton’s McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri, gave way to Norris, but snatched back the lead and Piastri was pushed down to third.

Verstappen's victory handed Red Bull a sixth constructors championship

That exchange, however brief, left Norris optimistic. ‘We’re coming for Red Bull,’ he said after the chequered flag as Christian Horner and his team celebrated their sixth constructors’ championship. ‘We’re not close to Max, but we’re not miles away. We’re pushing, we’re getting there.’

An explosive start gave way to a subdued following four laps, with the safety car deployed after Valtteri Bottas damaged his Alfa Romeo.

His day went from bad to worse when the crash-prone Logan Sargeant shunted him into the gravel. ‘What the f***!?’ was the perplexed Finn’s response. Both drivers retired from the race, two of five men to bow out prematurely.

Bottas’s former teammate Lewis Hamilton had his hands full with new Mercedes partner George Russell. Hamilton, resembling a third member of Daft Punk in his special edition chrome helmet, challenged his young teammate to a game of chicken as they soared down the home straight side-by-side. It was Russell who twitched first and relented.

The battle resumed at Spoon Curve when Russell sought to seize upon a gap offered by Hamilton. The seven-time champion forced his teammate off the track, in a carbon copy of the incident that he fell victim to in his fight with Max Verstappen in Brazil two years ago.

‘Who are we trying to fight here, each other or the others?’ Russell fumed on the radio. Toto Wolff, watching on from Monaco while recuperating from a knee surgery, was surely tearing his hair out.

Tensions were bubbling elsewhere as Norris too bellowed his frustrations down the team radio after losing his position to Piastri, who pitted for hard tyres under the virtual safety car. ‘What’s he doing?’ Norris moaned.

‘It’s just ruining the race now.’ The Australian may be a future star of the sport but he was shown in no uncertain terms that he is still very much the No. 2 at McLaren, and duly moved aside, although a first podium here will have softened the blow.

Chaos ensued in the pitlane as disarray surrounded Verstappen’s confidence-battered Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez. The Mexican, perhaps eager to take an early flight home from Tokyo, bowed out on Lap 15 but, having knocked Kevin Magnussen off course, was slapped with a five-second penalty by the stewards.

Red Bull, keen for him not to serve it in Qatar, pushed him back onto the track 26 laps later before bringing him back in for good. ‘Retire the car’, a defeated Perez pleaded during that bizarre stint.

Part three of the Hamilton-Russell dogfight provided a thrilling conclusion. Russell, in front of Hamilton due to a one-stop strategy, stubbornly refused to give up his position. ‘That’s an order, George,’ came the response from the garage. ‘So, we’re playing the team game now?’ Russell hit back as he retreated.

Mercedes, attempting to emulate Sainz’s DRS genius in Singapore, tried to hold the Ferrari driver back but Hamilton was unable to keep Russell within range and the Spaniard passed.

‘We wasted all that time for no reason,’ Hamilton despaired.

But out in front there was not a moment spared by Verstappen on this Sunday procession, a man in a rush to secure world title No 3 in two weeks’ time in Qatar. Perhaps as he crossed the line the words of Mark Twain ran through his mind.

‘Reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.’ More likely, a Dutch-inspired egg retort.

Anna Wintour puts on a united display with Edward Enninful on the red carpet after reports of a ‘power struggle’ between editors as she draws in the stars for her Vogue World Show

Dame Anna Wintour gathered some of the biggest names in showbusiness for the Vogue World Show  in Londonon Thursday.

From supermodels Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington to Hollywood’s Jared Leto and Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, the event, held to raise funds for Britain’s performing arts industry, rivalled New York’s iconic Met Gala.

Vogue’s Editor-In-Chief, 73, hit the red carpet alongside British Vogue’s own editor, Edward Enninful, 51, with the pair seemingly keen to dismiss reports of a power struggle between the two

The pair put on a united front as they posed for photos together and chatted to presenter AJ Odudu inside the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Anna showed off her fashion style status in a floral gown and gold leather trench coat as she joined Enninful and director Baz Luhrmann on the red carpet.

Enninful is due to be replaced by Londoner Chioma Nnadi as editor of British Vogue.

The Mail on Sunday reported Enninful had hoped one day to replace Wintour, but the Vogue Editor-In-Chief is determined to stay put and will ‘swat any rivals off like a fly’.

The bash comes just three months after the shock announcement the British-Ghanaian former model and fashion stylist is to step down as editor-in-chief of British Vogue after six years at the helm.

When he leaves at the beginning of 2024, Enninful will take up a ‘global advisory position’ at Vogue, ‘with the freedom to take on broader creative projects’.

‘He made no secret of wanting the big job [global editorial director] but he hit the glass ceiling and he’d gone as far as he could go,’ explained the Vogue insider.

‘He thought he would be in London for a few years and then head for New York, but he now knows that he’s never going to get Anna’s job at Condé Nast.

‘Anna is the undisputed boss. She has seen off many rivals and continues to do so. She could swat him like a fly.’

A fashion source put it more bluntly: ‘I think Edward underestimated her power. He had so much smoke blown up his a**e when he was appointed editor that he couldn’t see his own trousers.’

The event is the brainchild of Vogue’s editor-in-chief but viewers, who watched via the YouTube livestream, took to social media to admit they left baffled by the ‘bizarre’ show.

The event was accessible only to the rich and famous with one ticket costing up to £2,521.70. Outside, a queue more than 500ft long filled with clamouring guests snaked its way through London’s West End.

Echoing the splendours of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, on arrival guests were invited to wrap themselves in a Coach pashmina and enjoy a complimentary tequila from the bar.

Supermodels, acting legends, royalty and some of the biggest names in showbusiness gathered at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane for the Vogue World Show.

Billed as a ‘multi-act celebration of the British performing arts’, the glittering one-off extravaganza saw Rita Ora, Sienna Miller and Winnie Harlow leading the stars on the red carpet on Thursday.

Model Winnie, 29, exuded glamour in a plunging black velvet gown with a statement white satin coat which brought plenty of drama with its puffed up neckline, while Rita, 32, turned heads in a black fishtail dress, but it proved difficult to walk in.

Sienna Miller, who is expecting her second child – her first with boyfriend  Oli Green, 26 – pushed maternity style boundaries as she showed off her bump in a crop top and puff ball skirt.

Thursday’s event will serve as a fundraiser for Britain’s performing arts industry, with Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Anna overseeing proceedings.

The first Vogue World event featured a fashion show and street fair when it took place in New York’s meatpacking district in 2021, but the London ceremony is expected to be a grander affair.

The dress code will be Opening Night, with the invitation revealed a West End stage decorated with by blood-red velvet curtains.

Incredible moment a river of RED WINE flows through Portuguese village when distillery’s 2.2million litre tanks burst

  • São Lourenco do Bairro in Portugal was painted red with 2.2million litres of wine
  • The wine would’ve nearly filled an Olympic swimming pool
  • Levira Distillery has since apologised for the spill from two of its trucks

Winemakers painted the small Portuguese town of São Lourenco do Bairro red after two of its trucks accidentally spilled 2.2million litres of red wine down a quiet street.

A fast-moving river of red wine flowed down a steep hill in the small town, near the coast of Portugal, after two tanks owned by Levira Distillery suddenly gave way on Sunday.

Baffled locals looked on as the wine, nearly enough to fill an Olympic swimming pool, swept through the streets of the town.

The spill was so massive that local officials triggered an environmental alert and were forced to divert the wine to stop it contaminating the nearby Certima River.

Anadia Fire Department blocked off the flood and diverted it away from the river, where it ran harmlessly into a field, reports local media.

The wine, which would nearly fill an Olympic swimming pool, flowed through the streets of São Lourenco do Bairro in Portugal

Firefighters said that a basement in a home near the distillery was flooded with wine.

Levira has since apologised, and said it later dredged the wine-soaked land.

‘We assume full responsibility for the costs associated with cleaning and repairing the damage, having teams available to do so immediately.

‘We are committed to resolving this situation as quickly as possible.’

Though the river of wine could have caused an environmental mishap, experts have said that drinking a wide variety of red wine is good for your gut

Tim Spector, professor of genetic epidemiology at King’s College London, said that drinking a wide variety of wines may have the same benefit that having a varied diet does.

‘My advice for wine lovers,’ he said, ‘is keep loving wine and still drink wine, primarily for the pleasure, but at the back of your mind think, could I be trying different bottles or varieties that might actually be healthier for me and that I might enjoy?

‘Diversity is also important – if you take the analogy from foods, having a range of different grape varieties in your diet means that you are going to be helping different gut microbes inside you and you will increase your your gut health and diversity.

‘So don’t just stick with the same wine. Get out there. Try the hundreds or thousands of different grape varieties that we generally don’t enjoy.

‘Let’s get those rare ones back on the map again, because each of those could be helping you nourish really healthy gut microbes inside you and improve your health.’

A study led by Professor Spector’s team in 2019, involving participants in the UK, US and Belgium, found people who drank red wine had a wider range of gut bacteria, which is linked to better gut health.

This was not seen for white wine, which may be because red wine has the grape skins left in for most of the fermentation process, so has high levels of polyphenols – plant compounds which are good for the gut and can reduce the inflammation in the body linked to poor health in older people.

Meteorologists call them ‘gigantic jets’ — powerful and vanishingly rare trees of lightning that contain 50-times more energy than the typical lightning bolt.

A Puerto Rico-based photographer documented this little-seen weather phenomenon late last month, August 20th, while documenting the tropical storm then developing westward into Hurricane Franklin.

Gigantic jets, much the related electrical phenomenon of ‘red sprites,’ gain their crimson hue from contact with Earth’s ionosphere 50 to 400 miles above sea level.

The uncommon surging bolts of upward lightning, which occur only about 1,000 times a year worldwide, are believed to happen most often during thunderstorms out over the open ocean.

A Puerto Rico-based photographer, Frankie Lucena, documented the little-seen weather phenomenon known as 'gigantic jet' lightning late last month, on August 20th, while documenting the tropical storm then developing westward into Hurricane Franklin

A Puerto Rico-based photographer, Frankie Lucena, documented the little-seen weather phenomenon known as ‘gigantic jet’ lightning late last month, on August 20th, while documenting the tropical storm then developing westward into Hurricane Franklin

Estimates suggest less than one percent of lightning travels in an ‘upwards’ direction like these gigantic jets.

First documented in July 2002, many of the gigantic jets that have been spotted were witnessed in tropical regions, particularly during escalating storms, according to an study last summer in Science Advances.

That study, which documented a May 14, 2018 gigantic jet over Oklahoma, constructed a map of the lightning phenomenon in 3D — identifying the structural details of its formation in high definition for the first time.

JETS AND SPRITES

Blue jets are enormous bursts of electrical discharge spiking upward from storm clouds in the upper atmosphere.

They emerge from the electrically-charged cores of thunderstorms and rise up to 30 miles upwards in the shape of a cone.

Red sprites are electrical bursts of light that occur above highly active thunderstorms.

They only last a few milliseconds and are relatively dim compared with other lightning.

The late experimental physicist John Winckler accidentally discovered sprites, while helping to test a new low-light video camera in 1989.

They show up red at higher altitudes and fade to blue at lower heights

Levi Boggs, a researcher at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, assembled a team to review satellite, radar and radio-wave data of the Oklahoma jet after seeing a civilian photograph of the event not unlike these new images.

Photographer Frankie Lucena captured not just one, but three gigantic jet plasma events over the course of the tropical storm’s movements last month.

The bolts rose up from the Caribbean southeast of Lucena’s perch in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.

The lightning events occurred in the wee hours between 2:56 AM and 3:04 AM Eastern Time, which is equal to the time in Puerto Rico in summer during daylight savings time.

This August’s gigantic jets are not the first to be brought to the public’s attention by Lucena, who has proven to be an enthusiastic tracker of the rare weather phenomenon.

On July 24, 2017, Lucena noticed gigantic jets recorded by the Gemini Cloudcam at the Mauna Kea Observatory in Hawaii.

After downloading the time-lapse footage from the Gemini Cloudcam website, Lucena enhanced the colors to better show the striking phenomenon.

‘They are related to sprites, but more powerful and easier to see with the naked eye.’  he told SpaceWeather.com in 2017.

Lucena’s July 2017 video also revealed equally rare ripples in the sky that can sometimes appear high in the sky above storms.

‘The ripples in the sky high above the storm clouds are what is known as gravity waves,’ Lucena explained on YouTube.

‘These gravity waves are located very near the ionosphere at about 90km.’

Like the gigantic jets, these elusive electrical events have long been the subject of wonder, and some have even debated their existence over the years, as they are so fleeting and, thus, often difficult to observe.

Holly Willoughby probably would rather have been elsewhere last night than sashaying down a red carpet with millions watching – before being booed by the audience for the second NTA ceremony in a row.

She spent considerable time warding off questions about her own future, Phillip Schofield and allegations of a toxic atmosphere at ITV’s This Morning.

After a lacklustre return to screens alongside Alison Hammond after eight weeks off for her annual summer break, and losing 200,000 viewers, she knew there was no way she could get away with being a no-show at last night’s National Television Awards.

But Holly didn’t seem too worried by the ratings drop-off, telling MailOnline she ‘just wants the future to continue as it is.’

As she admitted, however, whether that future comes to pass is not down to her, or any of her co-hosts – instead it is down to the viewers, many of whom have become disillusioned by the show and its attempts to distract from claims of a toxic culture.

Holly spent considerable time on the red carpet warding off questions about her own future, Phillip Schofield and allegations of a toxic atmosphere at ITV's This Morning

Despite admitting fan support has been ‘up and down’, she still seems to have a loyal base of supporters who give her a sense of optimism for the future.

‘If I’m honest it’s been really up and down. But what’s lovely is people rallying around you. The support is there. People want us to do well. It all feels good again.’

‘I just want to the future to continue as it is. We are very blessed we have a great team of people we really do.’

She sought to focus on enjoying the NTAs on the red carpet, dodging questions around her former co-host and his ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a younger male colleague.

‘Everybody has been so lovely tonight and everyone is so happy to meet you. I mean you’re in their living room everyday it’s not like meeting someone from Coronation Street.

‘I know there’s been a lot of talk about things and for me personally, I don’t want to speak on behalf of other people, it’s a world I don’t recognise.

‘For me, I look around and see the team getting ready and giving it all. I just want to come to work and have more of that.’

For the second year running after the now-infamous queuegate scandal, Holly was shunned from being shortlisted for best presenter.

It was also the first time since she, as the host of the ITV show she joined in 2009, had attended without Phillip Schofield since they began working together 14 years ago.

Holly supported Alison, who is described within television circles as her ‘bestie’, as she went up against Ant and Dec for the best presenter title – with the Geordie duo winning the award for the 22nd time.

She told MailOnline: ‘Alison doesn’t need any advice tonight. She’s wonderful, exactly what she’s like on the tele.

‘She came into the office today and said I know you’re wearing a dress but I brought you a belly chain I think it will really suit you.’

‘We’ve known each other for a really long time she’s been on this morning longer than me. It’s a really natural home for her.’

Asked whether she would like Alison to remain her on-screen partner, Holly added: ‘Ideally but I mean I ask myself who it will be but it’s not down to me, people seem to think I have a lot to say on a lot of issues, but it’s really down to the public.’

Holly spent 15 minutes on the red carpet at London’s O2 – a stark contrast to her usual awards regime.

She walked separately from Alison, who arrived 20 minutes later.

Those close to Ms Willoughby said she had to speak out last night in the hope that she can ‘start again tomorrow’.

The presenter has for some time been wrestling with how Schofield’s exit affected This Morning and that it is her job to ‘turn things around’ after she – as the strong woman that she has vowed to be – took the helm of This Morning.

Sources close to Ms Willoughby say that she decided that the best thing she could do to deal with the criticism was to be honest.

It coincides with her agreement to stay with This Morning, which lost out to The Repair Shop last night in the best daytime show category.

One source said: ‘Holly knows she needs to answer questions about This Morning face on and tell the story. It has been difficult. She knows this is a tricky time but she has made a pact with herself to take the rough with the smooth and deal with it.

‘Hence why she is here tonight and actually dealing with what has been hard for her and hard for the show.’

Away from the tribulations of morning television, it was a joyful night for BBC1’s Happy Valley as it won the returning drama award.

And the night only got better for lead Sarah Lancashire who beat co-star James Norton to win the best dramatic performance after the NTAs scrapped separate categories for best actor and best actress.

Ms Lancashire said: ‘It’s a wonderful thing to have, we didn’t know if we would win it. It’s a great accolade – great for Sally Wainwright.’

Graham Norton beat Piers Morgan to best TV Interview while his ex Good Morning Britain co-host Susanna Reid paraded the red carpet in a red dress while debuting her new short hair.

Meanwhile, Line of Duty’s veteran cop-drama actress, Vicky McLure also stunned at the event – held at London’s O2 Arena – in a black Versace frock.

One Show host, Alex Jones, also pulled out the stops in a white feathered mini-dress.

Big Brother host Davina McCall, 55, beamed on the red carpet in an E Stott jumpsuit with her latest boyfriend, the hairdresser Michael Douglas, 48.

Obesity and alcohol are fuelling a worrying rise in cancer among the under-50s, a study suggests.

The number of cases among younger cancer patients has soared by 79 per cent in the last three decades, research found.

The growth is particularly prominent among wealthy countries like the UK, suggesting lifestyle factors are largely to blame.

Researchers analysed data from the Global Burden of Disease 2019 Study for 29 cancers in 204 countries and regions.

They looked at new cases, deaths, health consequences and risk factors in people aged 14 to 49, estimating an annual percentage for each year.

Scientists say genetics play some part in the rise of cancer rates but point to lifestyle factors as a contributor. They say high salt diets, tobacco and alcohol are the main risk factors underlying the most common cancers among the under 50s

10-year cancer survival rates for many common cancers have now reached above the 50 per cent mark, and experts say further improvements could be made in the next decade

In 2019, there were 3.26 million new cancer diagnoses for under-50s, an increase of 79.1 per cent since 1990.

The biggest increases were among prostate and windpipe cancers, rising by 2.28 per cent and 2.23 cent per year respectively – or more than 66 per cent since 2019.

Breast cancer made up the largest proportion of cases – 13.7 per every 100,000 people, according to the findings published in the BMJ.

Scientists said that while genetics are likely to play a part, lifestyle factors were also contributing.

Diets high in red meat and salt, and low in fruit and milk alongside alcohol consumption, tobacco use, physical inactivity and high blood sugars are the main risk factors underlying the most common cancers among the under 50s.

Around two-thirds of adults and 1 in 3 children are overweight or obese by the time they leave primary school, some of the worst rates in the world.

While the level of progress for cancer survival for some forms of the disease has been rapid, such as for breast and prostate cancers, others, like those for lung and pancreas have only improved at a snail's pace

While the level of progress for cancer survival for some forms of the disease has been rapid, such as for breast and prostate cancers, others, like those for lung and pancreas have only improved at a snail’s pace

But Dr Xue Li, of the University of Edinburgh’s Usher Institute who led the study, said while early-onset cancer in the UK showed an upward trend from 1990 to 2010, the overall incidence rate remained stable from 2010 to 2019.

She said: ‘Fortunately, the annual mortality rate from early-onset cancer in the UK has been steadily decreasing, a testament to the outstanding cancer screening and treatment efforts over the past three decades.’

It comes after the charity Cancer Research UK claimed advances in cancer care have helped save 1.2 million lives in the UK since the mid-1980s.

The figure includes an estimated 560,000 fewer lung cancer deaths, 236,000 deaths from stomach cancer, 224,000 bowel cancer deaths and 17,000 breast cancer deaths.

Dr Claire Knight, senior health information manager at Cancer Research UK, said: ‘It’s not fully clear what is driving the rise in early-onset cancers, but exposure to risk factors in earlier life, better detection of cancer and genetics might all play a part.’

She added: ‘We need more research to examine the causes of early-onset cancer for specific cancer types, like our BCAN-RAY study that is looking at new ways to identify younger women at higher risk of breast cancer.’

An eczema sufferer has told of her agony after being hospitalised and losing her vision temporarily during an agonising flare-up.

Beatrice Gaucahas, of Ireland, has spent years battling the common skin condition, which causes redness and blistering of the skin.

But the 22-year-old took a sudden turn for the worse two years ago.

The children’s gymnastics instructor was left with dry, scaly skin covering her face, eventually sealing her eyes shut and leaving her with no skin on her face.

Now fully recovered from her horrifying ordeal, Beatrice is sharing her skin journey on TikTok, where she has gained more than 41,300 followers.

Beatrice (pictured in March 2021), from Ireland, has suffered from the skin condition for most of her life, which often caused rashes to appear on the skin around her joints

When Beatrice was 20, she experienced the ‘worst flare-up’ of her life when her eczema started affecting the skin on her face.

It made her face swell up and crust form around her eyes — sealing them shut and leaving her unable to see for two days.

She also had ‘no skin left’ on her face, as it had peeled off — leaving her with a ‘burning sensation’.

‘It was one of the most painful and traumatic experiences of my life,’ Beatrice said.

She went to hospital and stayed there for two weeks.

WHAT IS ECZEMA?

Eczema is an inflammatory condition of the skin that leads to redness, blistering, oozing, scaling and thickening.

It usually appears in the first few months of life and affects around 10 per cent of babies.

Eczema’s cause is not fully understood but it is thought to be brought on by the skin’s barrier to the outside world not working properly, which allows irritants and allergy-inducing substances to enter.

It may be genetic due to the condition often running in families.

As well as their skin being affected, sufferers may experience insomnia and irritability.

Many factors can make eczema worse. These may include:

  • Heat, dust, soap and detergents
  • Being unwell, such as having a cold
  • Infections
  • Dry skin
  • Stress

There is no cure for eczema, however, 70 per cent of childhood sufferers no longer have the condition in their teens.

Patients should avoid known triggers for flare ups and use emollients.

Source: British Skin Foundation

Five biopsies were performed by doctors to try and find out what was wrong with her.

Doctors confirmed her excruciating symptoms were due to an eczema flare-up.

Also known as dermatitis, eczema affects around a fifth of children and one in 10 adults in the UK and US.

The skin condition, which is not contagious, can be unbearably itchy. During a flare-up, it can also become red, cracked, sore and raw.

Treatments for the condition, which has more than a dozen types, include medical moisturisers and medication.

Beatrice said: ‘I thought I would never have my skin on my face back to normal ever again. I thought I would be scarred for life.

I felt like I had no one to turn to for comfort or support.

‘Most of my family were abroad visiting my grandfather as he was severely ill at the time, which had me more down as I wasn’t able to see him since I was also in hospital myself.

‘Of course, I spoke to my family every day on the phone, and they helped me a lot in regards to staying strong and having faith that I will recover, but virtual support and comfort is very different to an interaction in person.’

It’s unclear what triggered Beatrice’s flare-up.

Since her agonising flare-up and hospital visit, Beatrice has made a full recovery and has learnt to manage her skin condition.

She now follows a strict diet that helps keep her skin condition under control and lessen the symptoms.

Her diet consists of greens, fruit, vegetables, fish oil and a collagen supplement every day. She has also completely cut wheat, gluten and dairy from her diet.

Since this change in routine, she has not suffered from a flare-up.

But she has also learnt to better cope when her symptoms worsen.

‘I am doing much better now, mentally and physically’, says Beatrice.

She added: ‘Before I learned to accept my skin condition, eczema had taken a large toll on my mental health and social life.

‘I stopped going out to see friends, even stopped going anywhere when I had the slightest flare-up as I was so embarrassed at the time and didn’t want anyone seeing what I was going through.’

Beatrice has been detailing her experience with eczema on TikTok, under the username @beatrice_gauca, where one of her most popular videos has amassed more than 2.4million views and 256,000 likes

Another TikTok user, @jade_huper, said: ‘You are so amazing for pushing thru this and taking the time to recover your such an amazing girl’.

Beatrice added: ‘I have come to accept my condition and no longer see it as a flaw but as a reason to get out there and help others that are suffering with the same condition as me.

‘It is important for me to share my story to show others going through the same situation that they are not alone and that it does get better, and you will heal your skin.

‘My main motive is to spread awareness about eczema to everyone around the world.’

  • Billy Vunipola will face a hearing on Tuesday relating to his red card vs Ireland
  • England’s No8 was sent off after a high shoulder on Andrew Porter in the loss
  • Steve Borthwick could have gaps to fill with Owen Farrell also having an appeal

Billy Vunipola’s hearing has been scheduled straight after Owen Farrell’s to leave England facing a double dose of disciplinary action on Tuesday.

Skipper Farrell faces an appeal hearing in the morning, in relation to his red card against Wales, while No8 Vunipola will appear in front of a panel in the evening after his red card against Ireland.

Vunipola will face a panel chaired by Scottish KC Roddy Dunlop KC, as well as former Scottish international coach Frank Hadden and former Welsh international Jamie Corsi.

Head Steve Borthwick could be left with gaps to fill in his 33-man squad, although he is able to call up replacements until the deadline of August 30.

Tom Willis is the likely first reserve at No 8 if Vunipola is handed a long suspension. The outcome of the hearing is unlikely to be heard until Wednesday morning.

Given his clean disciplinary record, Vunipola is likely to receive a shorter ban than Farrell, following his hit on Ireland prop Andrew Porter.

Owen Farrell is CLEARED completely after red card for dangerous high tackle against Wales, as England captain avoids any ban and is free to play at the World Cup

England captain Owen Farrell is free to play in the World Cup after a disciplinary panel made a shock decision to rescind his red card.

The No 10 was sent off for a high shot on Wales flanker Taine Basham at Twickenham on Saturday but contested the decision in a video hearing on Tuesday.

He is now free to play immediately, meaning he can feature in this weekend’s warm-up game against Ireland.

It was anticipated that Farrell was in line for a significant ban that would have ruled him out of a portion of England’s World Cup campaign.

But Steve Borthwick and the Saracens man can breath a sigh of relief, with the key man freely available for selection.

It is understood that the red card was struck off because England hooker Jamie George shoved Farrell into contact.

Farrell was therefore not seen to be to blame for his shoulder connecting with the Welshman’s head.

Evidently this was the defence that England based their case on and it proved to be successful in Tuesday’s hearing.

Farrell had been in grave danger of being suspended for up to six weeks, in light of his track record of similar offences – including earlier this year, when he received a three-game ban – reduced from four because he took part in a ‘coaching intervention’ (tackle awareness) course.

Fellow England back Joe Marchant claimed that the Red Rose skipper was ‘gutted’ after the 19-17 win against a back-up Wales side.

So it will be a significant boost to the group now that he has been cleared.
