Nikki Haley says Biden is worse than King George: 2024 hopeful compares Britain’s crackdown on the colonies to Joe trying to ‘control the lightbulbs we use’ and the ‘stoves we buy’

  • Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley debuted her ‘Freedom Plan’ from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire Friday
  • As part of it, she listed way to ‘reduce federal government control of our lives’
  • In her speech she said the British ‘had nothing on Joe Biden’ railing him for trying to control light bulbs, cars and the stoves Americans can buy

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley floated Friday that President Joe Biden was worse than Britain’s King George III, whose behavior sparked the American Revolution.

Haley was debuting her ‘Freedom Plan’ – an economic agenda she hopes to enact if elected to the White House next year – in front of an audience of potential voters at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire

One of the three tenets she’s proposing is a laundry list of ways to ‘reduce federal government control of our lives.’

In the Declaration of Independence, the founders accused King George of sending “swarms of officers to harass our people and eat out their substance,” but the British had nothing on Joe Biden,’ she said, earning some laughs from the crowd.

‘He’s trying to control the lightbulbs we use, the cars we drive, the stoves we buy and countless other parts of our daily lives,’ she added.

Haley floated that President Joe Biden (left) was worse than Britain’s King George III (right) for trying to ‘control the lightbulbs we use’ and the ‘stoves we buy’

She complained that, ‘Entire industries now live or die based on the whims of Washington.’

Last month the Biden administration banned incandescent light bulbs, a process that started when Republican President George W. Bush was president and Congress passed the Energy Independence and Security Act.

The Trump Administration had appealed the rules, but the Biden Administration picked it back up when he came into office in January 2021.

The president has also championed the conversion to electric vehicles – signing legislation that includes incentives to move this forward.

As for stoves, in January, a Biden-appointed commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Richard L. Trumka Jr., created a frenzy on the political right when he said that gas stoves were a ‘hidden hazard’ and ‘any option,’ including a ban, was on the table.

Trumka had pointed to links between gas stoves and child asthma rates.

Facing a firestrom of criticism from Republicans, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was forced to announce that the administration was not coming after Americans’ gas stoves.

‘The president does not support banning gas stoves and the Consumer Product Safety Commission, which is independent, is not banning as stoves,’ she said.

Haley’s comments follow former President Donald Trump, one of her 2024 Republican White House rivals, complaining about the government setting certain energy standards.

‘You know I have this gorgeous head of hair – when I take a shower, I want water to pour down on me. When you go into these new homes with showers, the water drips down slowly, slowly,’ Trump said last month at a dinner with voters in South Carolina.

Other parts of Haley’s ‘Freedom Plan’ included changes to the tax code that she claimed would benefit the middle class and forcing Congress to cut the budget.

‘I will veto any spending bill that doesn’t take us back to pre COVID levels,’ she pledged. ‘We’re not talking about 1950 spending levels. We’re talking about just four years ago.’

One of her ideas included not paying members of Congress when they fail to pass a budget.

She also pitched rolling back Biden’s green energy incentives.

‘Joe Biden is pushing us to buy expensive electric cars and subsidizing car companies,’ Haley said. ‘Innovative electric car companies don’t need subsidies.’

Haley also pointed out that most electric car batteries are made in China, despite the White House’s current push to move battery manufacturing to the United States.

Longshot Democratic hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. hired New Hampshire Republican lawmaker to staff his campaign signaling his ‘crossover appeal,’ top aide says

  • The Kennedy campaign has hired New Hampshire state Rep. Aidan Ankarberg
  • Ankarberg is a Republican
  • Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is challenging President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination

Democratic presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. hired a Republican member of the New Hampshire House to work on his presidential campaign, which his campaign manager said proves he has ‘crossover appeal.’

The New Republic reported Tuesday that Kennedy had added Republican Aidan Ankarberg to his staff.

Ankarberg is a sitting GOP member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives and formerly served as deputy majority whip.

Kennedy’s campaign manager, former Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich – an ex-presidential contender himself – told TNR that the addition of Ankarberg simply shows how the Democratic longshot, a prominent anti-vaxxer, has support outside of party lines.

‘He’s got the broadest appeal of anybody that’s run in a long time,’ Kucinich told the left-leaning magazine.

‘Mr. Kennedy has crossover appeal. And it’s really powerful.

‘And we had Republicans who are coming over. We have independents. We have libertarians, we have conservatives, we have liberals, every stripe of political following and endeavor is moving toward our campaign.’

Polling shows that Kennedy has lost support among Democrats since announcing his bid for the White House in April.

Kennedy’s high-water mark to date was receiving 21 percent of Democratic support in an Emerson national poll conducted in late April.

In a Quinnipiac survey from last week, that support stood at 13 percent.

A FiveThirtyEight analysis published earlier this month showed that throughout July, Republicans consistently held Kennedy in higher regard than his Democratic counterparts.

A recent New York Times/Siena College poll echoed that, finding that 55 percent of Republicans held a favorable view of Kennedy, while just 28 percent of Democrats felt the same way.

Kennedy’s anti-vaxx rhetoric, his stance against funding the Ukraine war, and a murky position on abortion restrictions have helped his standing on the political right.

Over the weekend at the Iowa State Fair, Kennedy’s crossover appeal was on full display, with most of his audience comprised of Trump supporters who had popped over to see the Democratic hopeful after Trump’s trio of stops wrapped up.

‘Trump-Kennedy!’ one woman in a Trump shirt yelled in the direction of RFK Jr – the son of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy.

After his appearance, Kennedy was asked if he’d serve in a Republican administration, with the journalist pointing to how many GOP voters had told her they liked what he was saying.

Half of all Trump voters in Iowa think Kennedy would make a good VP pick for the ex-president, according to a poll for DailyMail.com that surveyed 600 likely caucus-goers

Kennedy volunteered that he ‘would not’ serve as Trump’s running mate.

Kennedy could, however, give Trump a good night – by embarrassing President Joe Biden in New Hampshire.

Due to Biden-aligned Democrats pushing to reorder the presidential primaries, it’s likely Biden’s name won’t appear on the ballot in the Granite State if it holds its traditional first-in-the-nation primary.

The Democrats voted to allow South Carolina to leapfrog Iowa and New Hampshire – but New Hampshire’s state law forces its primary to still be held first.

Biden’s supporters will have to write the president’s name in, while Kennedy and Democratic hopeful Marianne Williamson have no restrictions to appear on the ballot.

But for all the chatter about Kennedy’s Republican support, New Hampshire voters – including Ankarberg – would have to change parties in order to back him in the Democratic primary.

GOP Senate candidate vows to ‘actively campaign’ against Trump in 2024: Joe O’Dea hails Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley and Tim Scott as ‘great Republicans’ to replace the ex-president in next White House race

  • Construction executive Joe O’Dea, a Republican, is running to unseat Colorado Democratic Senator Michael Bennet in the November election
  • He’s maintained a wide distance from Trump for the entire election so far
  • Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell called O’Dea the ‘perfect candidate’ in July
  • O’Dea has been endorsed by establishment Republicans like George W. Bush, Nikki Haley and Senator Tim Scott among others

A Republican vying for Senate in Colorado pledged on Sunday that he’ll ‘actively campaign’ against Donald Trump if the former president runs again in 2024.

Joe O’Dea, who is running to unseat Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet, appeared on CNN‘s State of the Union with less than a month before the November 8 midterm elections.

The businessman has separated himself from the majority of GOP Congressional hopefuls with his moderate stances – giving hope to the Republican establishment that he could flip a state that President Joe Biden won by 14 points.

He also hasn’t shied away from speaking out against Trump, including on Sunday, when he repeated his call for a new de facto leader of the Republican Party.

‘I don’t think Donald Trump should run again,’ O’Dea said.

‘I’m going to actively I’m going to actively campaign against Donald Trump and make sure that – we’ve got four or five really great Republicans right now.’

In an indication of the establishment GOP’s thinking, O’Dea instead suggested candidates like Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, former Trump administration United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley, and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott.

All three have been floated as potential 2024 contenders, though it’s not clear how many would try to primary Trump.

‘They can run and serve for eight years,’ O’Dea said after listing off the trio.

‘I’m gonna do my job as a US senator to make sure that they have good campaigns in the primary here, so we have a good selection of candidates for 2024.’

During the interview he also repeated his past criticism of Trump over last year’s riot at the US Capitol on January 6 – but did not answer a question on whether it should prevent him from being president again.

‘Look, I believe that the- January 6 was a black eye on the country. I’ve been very vocal that I thought [Trump] should have done more to keep the violence from heading towards the Capitol,’ O’Dea said.

‘Anybody that was violent at the Capitol or tore something apart, they should be held accountable. We’ve got processes in place that hold people accountable, and we need to move the country forward.’

Scott campaigned with O’Dea earlier this month, while Haley formally endorsed him in late September.

O’Dea is well-liked within the Republican establishment, with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell telling donors in July that he was the ‘perfect candidate,’ according to Axios.

He’s also campaigning with former President George W. Bush, according to NBC News, who has shown support for other anti-Trump Republican candidates this cycle.

Trump has not weighed in on the race.

The Colorado Republican has reportedly raised $3 million between July and September, including $1 million from his own money.

O'Dea floated a few other big GOP names for consideration, including Trump's former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley, who has endorsed him

He said of Trump during a talk radio appearance in August, ‘I hope he doesn’t run. I don’t want to see him as president again.’

‘I think that seeing a Biden-Trump rematch again in 2024 would rip the country apart. I think a lot of people are ready to move our country forward. So, I wouldn’t support him running again,’ O’Dea added.

Most polls show him trailing Bennet in the increasingly blue state, though O’Dea is not far behind as the midterms loom less than a month away.

A left-leaning pollster called Public Policy Polling found O’Dea trailing Bennet by 11 points.

Meanwhile the Trafalgar Group’s late September survey saw Bennet just 6 points ahead.

The Republican Attorneys General Association’s poll with the Tarrance Group put the Democrat just a point over O’Dea.

Long-shot 2024 Republican hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy tells DailyMail.com that Biden has ‘mental deficits’ that can ‘help those who control him’

  • Vivek Ramaswamy told DailyMail.com Biden isn’t ‘actually running for president’
  • Claimed that Democrat elites are playing puppet master
  • Comes the same day President Biden announced he is running for reelection

Presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy claims that President Joe Biden isn’t ‘actually running for president’ because he is being controlled behind the scenes by the Democrat elite.

He also suggested to DailyMail.com what many have speculated – that Biden’s outgoing head of domestic policy Susan Rice is departing the White House to work for the campaign. Ramaswamy said that Rice is one of those.

The biotech multi-millionaire said that the ‘cognitive deficits’ of Biden are a ‘feature’ for those who wish to control him.

‘I think the biggest farce is the idea that Biden is actually running for president,’ Ramaswamy said in a quick phone interview. ‘He’s not actually – it’s the managerial class, putting him up as a puppet to advance their agenda.’

Ramaswamy is one of the few Republicans who have already entered what is expected to be a crowded primary race.

He joins the field with former President Donald Trump, ex-South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson. There are dozens of others rumored to be considering a run, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantus.

Ramswamy slammed the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for not holding primary debates, which is something that commonly happens within the parties when an incumbent president is running for reelection.

‘And I think the fact that the DNC is also silencing any debate, they’re not going to have two primary debates, says to what extent they’re willing to go to prop up their puppet,’ he continued.

Currently there are two long-shot Democratic candidates vying for the nomination against Biden – author Marianne Williamson and lawyer and anti-vaxxer Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

‘I think that the fact that Biden suffers from cognitive deficits, that’s not a bug to them, that is a feature. That’s what allows him to be controlled and captured by the administrative managerial bureaucracy underneath,’ Ramaswamy detailed his theory to DailyMail.com.

He said the DNC deciding not to hold debates is Democrats way of ‘spitting in the face of their own base.’

Ramaswamy said that the ‘managerial elite’ who are controlling Biden are the ‘middle to upper layers of the Democratic National Committee,’ as well as ‘the people who staff nonprofit boards and the administrative donor class of the Democratic Party.’
