Apple’s iPhone 15 Max Pro is predicted to be its first to include 2TB storage space – increasing the price to 60 percent more than a MacBook, according to tech experts.

Along with double the storage, the price increase would be due to the switch from stainless steel to titanium, new LiDAR sensors, camera improvements and a more powerful chip.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB starts at $1,599, but the upgraded features could push it  $2,099 mark – a MacBook starts at $1,299.

Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 15 on September 12, but the Pro Max likely will not ship until October due to supply chain issues.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB starts at $1,599, but the upgraded features and 2TB capacity could push the iPhone 15 Max Pro to the $2,099 mark (stock)

BGR shared a report detailing the increased price tag, as Apple increased the maximum storage space to 2TB.

A terabyte equals 1,024 gigabytes (GB), which can hold 555,555 JPEG images.

This month, the storage capacity claim was also seen in a Weibo post, adding more weight to the rumor.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max will likely be available in the standard 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.

However, last year’s iPhone 14 Pro models were also rumored to come with the 2TB option – but that did not happen.

The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max were the first Apple smartphones to include 1TB due to improved camera features that eat up storage.

The MacBook Pro (pictured) has a starting price of $1,299

Apple released the first Pro Max alongside the iPhone 11 in 2019 with a starting price of $1,099 – and it was the same for the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

When Apple launched the high-end smartphone in 2021, the price for the 1TB skyrocketed to $1,599 and stayed for iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB.

Rumors about the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max have long been swirling the web, as Forbes reported the smartphone to have a 10xoptical zoom camera – the current models have 3x optical zoom.

The increased camera abilities would be due to the adoption of periscope lenses.

This periscope camera made headway in 2020 after MacRumors saw another research note from renowned Apple product predictor and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Periscope lenses use mirrors to provide a much greater optical zoom.

With the added tech, the switch to titanium would be ideal.

While titanium rivals steel in strength, it can be up to 45 percent lighter, which could make these models far easier to carry.

Titanium can handle higher temperatures better than steel, offering similar protection against water damage.

An Apple expert told 9to5Mac that the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be delayed for two months after the September launch due to a lack of sensors

Sony is the sensor supplier for Apple, but reports suggest that the image sensor component is not yet finished.

Aaron Rodgers ‘expected to start for the first time for the New York Jets in a preseason game against rivals Giants’

  • Rodgers, 39, has yet to play for New York since his blockbuster trade in April
  • The four-time league MVP last played in a preseason game for Green Bay in 2018
  • DailyMail.com provides all the latest international sports news

Aaron Rodgers will not have to wait until Week 1 of the regular NFL season to make his New York Jets debut, as the team plans to get its new quarterback involved in a preseason game against the New York Giants

The 39-year-old Rodgers is now expected to wear Gotham Green for the first time on Saturday, according to The New York Post

The four-time league MVP watched the Jets’ first three preseason games from the sidelines, as backup QB Zach Wilson was given some minutes under his belt.

The Jets completed a blockbuster trade for Rodgers in April and great things are expected from the 10-time Pro Bowler this season, with the franchise bidding to add to its lonely 1968 Super Bowl title win.

Rodgers is said to be in great shape and form in practice while also mentoring some of the Jets’ young players, including Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh remained open to the idea of having Rodgers play in the team’s final preseason game.

After Saturday night’s 13-6 loss to the Buccaneers, Saleh said he’d discuss plans for next weekend’s game against the Giants with his starting quarterback.

Earlier this summer, Rodgers said he wouldn’t mind playing in pre-season games if it helped him find his footage. Rodgers last played a preseason game in 2018 while he was still on the Packers.

‘I wouldn’t mind playing in the preseason,’ Rodgers previously told reporters.

‘I wouldn’t mind if Robert said ”Hey, we are going to go. Let’s do it.” Most coaches have that fear where they want to get you to the Week 1 and not risk it, but I believe there is a chance for the last one.’

If Rodgers starts against the Giants, then expect all starters on the Jets’ offense to be involved in Saturday’s game.

One thing for sure is that Rodgers will start the 2023-24 season with 59,055 career yards, 475 touchdown passes and a 147-75-1 record as a starter in the NFL.

PSG ‘accept Al-Hilal offer for Neymar’ with the transfer fee expected to be ‘HUGE’… But the Brazilian forward is yet to give the move his ‘green light’

Paris Saint-Germain have ‘accepted an offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal’ for Neymar, reports have said.

The Brazilian forward moved to Paris from Barcelona in 2017 and has racked up 118 games in 173 appearances for the French giants.

He has won five Ligue 1 titles and three Coupe de France trophies, but has not added to the one Champions League he won in Spain.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Al-Hilal tabled a ‘huge’ offer for Neymar on Saturday, and RMC Sport claim it was accepted by PSG the same day.

Nothing is confirmed, though, as the French outlet add that the forward is yet to give the deal his ‘green light’ despite ‘advanced’ negotiations between his representatives and the Saudi side.

There has also been interest in the 31-year-old from the MLS, with LAFC thought to be the most likely location in America.

While Neymar’s next destination is not yet decided, it does look like he’ll be leaving PSG after six years.

L’Equipe reported that the two parties have ‘agreed to find a common solution before the end of the transfer window.’

If he did move to Al-Hilal, Neymar would join fellow European names Ruben Nuves, Kalidou Koulbaly and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, all of whom joined this summer.

The same team made a world-record offer of £259 million for his teammate Kylian Mbappe, who rejected the move despite his poor relations with PSG.

ESPN is ‘preparing for raft of on-air layoffs with Suzy Kolber and Steve Young among those at risk’ – as network prepares for arrival of $85m host Pat McAfee

More layoffs are expected at ESPN over the summer, just four months after the USA’s largest sportscaster announced a 7,000 jobs-cut, with several on-air personalities whose names don’t ring to the average sports fan appearing to be the most at risk.

Cutbacks of on-air ‘talent’ are expected to occur toward the end of June, according to Andrew Marchand, of The New York Post, though the exact timing of these firings is ‘subject to change’, given that the situation is ‘fluid.’

The network’s executives are thought to be currently going over the names of staff members who could be eligible for dismissal. Those who are close to be getting the sack ‘are the ones who make a lot and don’t work that much’, per Marchand.

DailyMail.com has reached out to ESPN for a request to comment.

NFL sideline reporter Suzy Kolber, whose worked at ESPN for almost 30 years, is one of the few names mentioned alongside Steve Young’s that could be called upon to leave the company.

Kobler was hired by ESPN in 1993 and took a three-year break in the late 1990s, when she worked at Fox before re-joining her current employer.

After playing 15 seasons in the NFL and winning three Super Bowls, Young – a former quarterback for the Los Angeles Express, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers – contributed to ABC’s coverage of Super Bowl XXXIV (2000), XXXVII (2003) and XL (2006) as a studio analyst.

Laura Rutledge could reportedly take over for Kolber on Monday Night Football, if the latter goes.

Ever since Disney CEO Bob Iger rejoined ESPN’s parent company in November, the sportscaster has migrated to a star-driven model, with only a small handful of on-air talent allowed to rack up the big bucks.

That also means the routine of on air talents who earned large salaries exceed their current name value is no more.

In February, ESPN slashed 7,000 jobs worldwide to save $5.5 billion in costs.

What’s more is that ESPN employees were said to be ‘upset’ with Disney following the announcement of Pat McAfee joining the network.

Reports have stated that ESPN gave McAfee an eight-figure annual contract ($85M) after he walked away from his four-year, $120m contract with FanDuel, bringing his famed ‘The Pat McAfee Show,’ along with him.

The first wave of ESPN layoffs took place on April 24, and saw well respected names like John Dahl, the executive producer of the famed documentary ‘The Last Dance’, as well as communications specialist Mike Soltys and Nate Silver, leave.

The next set of layoffs is said to also include off-air members of the production and camera staff, along with high-salaried executives.

Man United outcast Phil Jones ‘is expected to be released from the club this summer’ after 12 years at Old Trafford… with the defender set to leave on a free transfer amid ongoing battle with a knee injury

  • Phil Jones is expected to be released by Manchester United in the summer
  • The 31-year-old defender has failed to take part in training sessions this season
  • Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen to ship on a wealth of players

Phil Jones’ Manchester United career looks set to be brought to an end in the summer with the club reportedly preparing to release a host of underperforming periphery players.

Erik ten Hag wants to clear out his squad and has apparently identified players he wants gone as quickly as possible once the current season is over.

Terminating contracts would surrender any potential transfer fee and is usually reserved as an option for academy assets and players who it is deemed have no realistic sell-on value.

Jones has been earmarked as one of United’s outcasts who will be unceremoniously moved on after 12 injury-plagued years at the Red Devils, according to the MEN.

The 31-year-old centre-back signed a fresh deal in 2019 after being offered a contract extension by then-manager Jose Mourinho, but has since made just two starts in three years.

Jones has been hampered by injuries and an ongoing knee problem means he has failed to take part in any training sessions under Ten Hag this season.

Large sections of United supporters have become unhappy with Jones’ existence at the club in recent years with the defender being paid a handsome salary but rarely involved with the first-team.

Jones previously stressed while working as a television pundit at United’s Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle in February that Ten Hag made him feel ‘valued’.

Should he depart the club this summer then he will leave United as a Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League, and League Cup winner.

Fellow defender Axel Tuanzebe is another name that has reportedly been cited as a releasable asset having struggled for minutes in recent seasons.

Academy product Axel Tuanzebe could also have his existing deal at Old Trafford terminated

Tuanzebe hasn’t featured since United’s Europa League final defeat in 2021 after a series of recurring injuries and recently returned from a temporary four-month loan spell at Championship outfit Stoke.

The 25-year-old made a total of five appearances for the Potters during his time in the Midlands.

Academy product Ethan Galbraith could also leave the club once his loan at League Two promotion-chasers Salford City finishes.

Charlie Wellens – son of Leyton Orient manager Richie Wellens – and youth team goalkeeper Ondrej Mastny could also be released.

Sharp sell-off in bank stocks expected as jittery markets prepare for fallout from First Republic collapse

All eyes will be on the markets today amid what is expected to be a sharp sell-off in bank stocks around the globe.

In London, traders and bankers spent the weekend assessing exposure to the fallout of First Republic in what was described by some as a ‘marathon.’

Fears are mounting of contagion, which could expose other lenders. While many investors say that this is not a ‘Lehman’s moment’, others believe that other banks could also now be in trouble.

Traders are particularly nervous that central banks are continuing to raise rates in a banking crisis. Nevertheless many experts stressed that First Republic’s travails were a delayed reaction to the turmoil in March rather than the opening of a new phase in the crisis.

Analysts anticipate HSBC, Lloyds, Barclays, NatWest and Standard Chartered will all be sold off after having billions wiped off their share prices already this year.

Last week NatWest posted strong profits but investors were disappointed by the deposit figures which showed billions leaving the bank.

Mid-tier lenders such as Metro Bank will also be monitored, as well as challenger banks such as Monzo, Revolut and Starling Bank.

One trader told the Daily Mail: ‘It was a marathon weekend for many in the City. There is real fear going into the first trading session of the week. There will be a lot of nerves.’
