Follow Mail Sport’s live blog for all the latest as the ‘Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou hold their first press conference ahead of their super fight set to take place in Saudi Arabia later this year.

Fury’s singing Chumbawamba now

But an interesting moment as Fury, joking around, calls for the event to be a ‘war’.

Ngannou, who suddenly injects some frustration into his voice, says: ‘Oh, you’ll get a war’. Could they be ready to stand and deliver in the centre of the ring, throwing shots upon shots?

My hunch is, Ngannou is and Fury isn’t. Fury will want to just stay out of the way.

‘I’m here because God willed it’

Not sure about that, Tyson.

Tyson holding court

Not anything too outrageous has been said so far…

Thanks to his Excellency (again)

If we were to take a shot every time they thanked ‘his Excellency’, we’d be plastered.

Fury’s called Ngannou a ‘big dosser’. That’s another one off the Fury bingo card.

His dad John starting a fight on someone 30 years younger?

Oh no, he’s just yelled at Ngannou to get his manhood out.

Ngannou: I’m very happy and excited

This is fulfilling a lifelong dream for Ngannou, to get in the boxing ring and face the best.

He insists history is about to be made. ‘I can’t stop thinking about it!’

Ngannou adds: ‘I’m going to be hunting for that guy’s head, to take it off.’

Bob Arum: Truly a massive event

Don’t get me wrong, these fellas are massive. Big, big blokes. Big punchers. But surely Ngannou won’t be able to hit him?

Conor McGregor didn’t really hit Floyd Mayweather and it feels like this will be similar.

A dream come true!

That’s what Ngannou’s adviser Marquel Martin says. They’re honoured and thankful to be there and receive by far the biggest pay-day of their careers.

Martin reckons if, and it’s a big if, Ngannou lands a punch on Fury’s chin, Fury’s going to sleep.

That’s probably true. But frankly I don’t see Ngannou getting close.

This is the BIGGEST event I’ve ever been involved in!

That according to Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren. He’s talking up his man Tyson Fury despite, seemingly, ducking the actual most-decorated heavyweight in the world, Oleksandr Usyk.

Instead he’s taking a sell-out crossover against someone who’s barely stepped in a boxing ring for three months.

This is going to ‘ex-ci-ting!’, adds Frank.

OOOHHH, the Riyadh Championship Belt is on the line! What every boxer grows up dreaming of winning.

The fighters are on stage!

Not sure about the MC. He’s no Michael Buffer. More spiel now about the glorious and wonderful and brilliant Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The same Saudi Arabia, incidentally, that has been widely criticised for its numerous human rights abuses, persecution of gay people, minorities, and women, mass executions, lack of press freedom, and censorship.

Here we go…

…some random bloke is thanking some other random blokes before we can begin. Get on with it!

Ngannou’s adviser comes onto the stage, followed by promoter Bob Arum and Frank Warren.

All quiet on the Western Front at the moment…

The live coverage from the media bods on the red carpet has stopped and we’re now just waiting for the press conference to begin…

They’re keeping us waiting at the moment!

Hopefully it won’t be too much longer.

Ngannou has Tyson in his corner… will he be similarly explosive in the imminent press conference?

Hopefully we’ll find out immimently…

Nearly there…

Everyone’s sat down and waiting expectantly for the next ridiculous thing Tyson Fury is going to do.

Will he dress up as Batman?

Will he say something offensive (again)?

Will he square up to Ngannou?

Stick around to find out…

CONFIRMED: Wardley cut and bleeding

Their fight was just about to be announced on the undercard. Both spoke to the media on the red carpet and the needle between them so far has obviously boiled over.

Breaking: IT’S ALL KICKING OFF!

Tyson Fury jokes ‘that fight has stolen my thunder – I’ll have to have a word!’

That’s one why to promote a fight.

Breaking: FABIO WARDLEY IS CUT!

It’s all kicking off on the red carpet. Fabio Wardley has received a cut after a scuffle with his future opponent David Adeleye!

Tyson Fury in the house!

He’s wearing an absolutely horrendously loud suit. At least he won’t get run over.

He says: ‘There’s always pressure. But I THRIVE under pressure!’

How are you going to deal with Francis?

‘KNOCK HIM OUT!’ Cheers for the tactical insight there, Tyson.

‘Is that why you’re taking this risk?’, Tyson is asked.

Hahahaha. What a joke. If Fury wanted to take a risk, he’d fight an actual boxer, for example Oleksandr Usyk.

Easy for him to lob insults at the Ukrainian – who holds three heavyweight title belts to his ONE, by the way, while facing a non-boxer in a boxing ring. He’s taking the massive payday knowing there’s no risk Ngannou lays a glove on him.

His boxing career, in my opinion, is essentially over already. He obviously doesn’t want to fight Usyk so he’s just taken the Floyd Mayweather route of fighting people he knows he’ll beat to pad his record and earn wads of cash before he retires.

Rio Ferdinand speaking out…

The Man United legend is discussing the upcoming press conference and he reckons it will be respectful.

Knowing Tyson Fury, I can’t imagine that. He’s going to try to get under the former UFC star’s skin.

Rio points out the obvious – all the pressure is on Tyson.

T-minus 10 minutes!

Around 10 minutes until the press conference gets underway!

Undefeated Brit Fabio Wardley in the mixed zone at the moment…

Ngannou: Tyson won’t get ANYTHING from me!

‘He won’t get ANYTHING from me (in the press conference).

‘(Training) is very different. You start feeling your shoulders, my shoulders are sore.’

‘Why should there be pressure on somebody? At this point in life, I’m living the dream. The only pressure that is on me is to give everything. I’m good.’

(On Mike Tyson being in his camp) ‘I’ve learned a lot of things. To have him this time around… he’s not here just to watch, he’s here to help me, giving me instructions. It’s Mike Tyson, I’m not tripping, this is real!

‘That’s how big this is. He’s the best that has ever lived, he has a lot of respect for Tyson Fury as a fighter but he’s in my corner. He’s chosen his side! There are a lot of things I’m learning from him.’

Joe Joyce bullish ahead of Zhang rematch

British heavyweight Joe Joyce, towering over 5ft 5ins Northern Irishman Carl Frampton in the interview section, insists he can win his rematch against 40-year-old Chinese boxer Zhilei Zhang.

They face off on Saturday September 23.

Joyce adds he’d potentially be keen for a crossover fight like Fury v Ngannou. And speaking of which…

Plenty of stars on the red carpet…

Former The Only Way Is Essex cast member Mark Wright and former Wycombe Wanderers striker Adebayo Akinfenwa are currently having their say on the fight on the red carpet.

In case you were wondering…

I wouldn’t want to get into the ring with big man Bayo to be fair!

Hello and welcome to tonight’s ‘Battle of the Baddest’ live blog!

Here we’ll be covering the Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou press conference tonight!

‘I’m not sure when the robots will take over but I sure am looking forward to it, I think it will be a lot of fun,’ a three-legged humanoid robot tells me.

Desdemona, as she’s known, then adds with an eerily emotionless tone: ‘Maybe this afternoon? Or in two minutes? Why not!’

DailyMail.com is at Berlin’s annual IFA tech show this week, the world’s largest and longest-running consumer electronics and home appliances conference.

It has been on the go since 1924 and is where the first television were launched – how far we’ve come in less than 100 years!

To take my mind off my slightly unnerving conversation with Desdemona, I go over to the video game section, where I’m told to try on a high-tech vest.

The ‘combat training simulator system’ imitates the feeling of being shot while wearing a bulletproof vest. Sound fun? It wasn’t.

DailyMail.com visited this year’s IFA at the Messe Berlin Exhibition Grounds on September 1.

Among the biggest tech news at the event was Samsung launching ‘next generation’ Bluetooth which will allow several people to connect to the same TV (for example) – but there were many off-beat and wild devices on show.

Now it brings tech companies and product launches from all around the world.

Desdemona the three-legged robot

Desdemona is made by Hanson Robotics and is considered a ‘little sister’ to the famous Sophia android who was granted Saudi Arabian citizenship in 2017.

Desdemona answers questions using a large language model similar to ChatGPT, made by artificial intelligence company SingularityNET – and responded in real time to DailyMail.com’s questions.

The company hopes that the robot – who claims to enjoy dancing – will become a pop star.

She tells DailyMail.com, ‘I am looking forward to learning more about the music and entertainment world here and showing off some of my moves. I’m like a robot on the dancefloor, efficient, precise and groovy.’

A TV in a suitcase

One of the stranger ideas on display was a TV inside a suitcase from Korean electronics giant LG.

The StanbyME Go costs $1,000, has a 27-inch screen, and can be swivelled round to any angle.

The TV weighs around 30lb, and has a 1080p LCD screen plus HDMI input to connect video players or games consoles.

The television has a built-in battery which lasts for three hours, so you can use it in the car or outdoors.

It comes with streaming apps including Disney+, Netflix and Apple TV preloaded.

A vest that makes you ‘feel’ bullet impacts in games

Billed as a ‘combat training simulator system’, Korean company Epin’s ‘metaverse’ shooter comes with a vest which makes you ‘feel’ bullet impacts.

You aim your rifle at the screen (moving it sideways to look around) and when the enemies hit you, the vest vibrates in a pretty alarming way.

You bump on the gun to reload or throw grenades, and it combines with the vibration from the vest to create an immersive feel.

The version of the game on show at IFA works with a projector, but the game has also been shown paired with VR headsets.

Robot bartenders and baristas

Artificial intelligence seems to be gunning for the world’s bartenders and baristas, with several units on display which can pour drinks – and even take payments.

Absolut’s Yanu system can not only pour gin and tonics, but also identify clients as they approach the bar, and take payments via a touchscreen system.

Developed in Estonia, the concept Yanu robot can serve up to 100 drinks per hour.

Unlike rival robo-bartenders, it takes just a few hours to set up and get working, its maker claims.

The HUENIT robot arm designed by South Korean start-up Supernova can make coffee, and also turn its hands to other tasks including 3D printing.

The AI camera built into HUENIT’s robot arm can recognise faces and objects, and it pairs with smartphones via Bluetooth for app control.

The arm can rotate up to 220 degrees and lift up to 26.5 ounces in weight.

A 265lb TV made of stone

The IFA show saw some of the earliest TV broadcasts in the world in the 1920s – and this year, German TV brand Loewe showed off a TV made of stone.

The Iconic TV – which was introduced in new stone finishes including midnight marble, diamond dust and ivory sands at IFA – is made of Syno-Stone, a material which is as solid, cool and heavy as stone.

Sets weigh a whopping 200lb.

Syno Stone is a solid material which looks like concrete and is fully recyclable.

This means that your stone TV can be made into another stone TV when you are finished with it.

The TV comes in 55-inch and 65-inch variants and has a sharp 4K OLED display.

A soundbar is built into the base of the TV which can plug into a full 5.1 surround system.

AI pet recogniser

Ever worried that your cat might not actually be your cat? Relax, Korean app Petnow has your back with a dog and cat recogniser.

Dogs’ noses are as unique as human fingerprints, the company says, and the app can recognise both dog noses and cat noses, so you can authenticate your cats.

The makers describe it as a ‘non-invasive alternative to microchips.’

The Seoul-based company claims that the biometrics have up to 99% accuracy.

The idea is that if an animal is lost, the finder can scan it in Petnow and reunite it with its owner.

Turn yourself into a metaverse puppet

The metaverse character is controlled by your own facial expressions in real time (R2MIX)

An impressive demo from Korean company R2MIX allows you to control a 3D ‘metaverse’ avatar in real time – so it syncs to your face and fingers.

The company’s tech also enables AI-powered avatars and could be used to underpin virtual worlds where humans and AI interact together.

The AI avatars use ChatGPT to answer questions on screen, while the human-controlled versions ‘lip sync’ in time to your words.

The company says that the service is aimed at video creators ‘who want to create video content using digital humans’.

Synchronised robot workers

Another impressive demon the show floor showed multiple robot arms working together – normally robots work alone, even on factory production lines.

Maker Hydrabyte says, ‘If you put the robots close to each other, they will fail.

‘Therefore, we have dedicated Hydrabyte to the programming of multi-robot systems.’

The company works to ensure multiple robots – even different ones – can work together safely, and the demonstration of multiple robot arms swirling round each other was mesmerising.

Sylvox showed off a television (well, a tablet) which can actually float on water and is completely waterproof.

The 15-inch Android tablet is completely waterproof, and comes with a stand to allow you to angle it.

The company wouldn’t let me float it on the stand as it’s a prototype device.

The concept device has Google TV built in, and includes a kickstand that also works as a handle.

Sylvox also makes fully waterproof models designed for use outdoors or in the bathroom.

Lionel Messi versus Cristiano Ronaldo has been a decade-long debate for many fans, and those comparisons have ventured into unexpected territory following the Inter Miami star’s press conference last week.

Messi spoke to local media in Miami ahead of the club’s Leagues Cup victory over Nashville, and held up his new club’s shirt before the press conference began.

And fans went wild at the No. 10’s ability to quickly fold the jersey back up in just two steps.

Of course, as with the rest of his career, Messi’s folding skills were compared to Ronaldo’s, with one fan hilariously digging up a 2018 video from the striker’s Juventus unveiling.

In the clip, the Portuguese star can be seen taking far longer than his rival to fold up the Old Lady’s shirt.

Ronaldo, now of Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, would go on to have a strong first season with Juventus, scoring 21 league goals and leading the club to a Serie A title.

Messi went on to lead Miami to its first trophy on Saturday night, as the club beat Nashville 10-9 on penalties to win the Leagues Cup.

The Argentine opened the scoring with a tremendous upper-90 strike in the 23rd minute before converting his penalty in the shootout.

Through seven appearances for Miami, Messi has already scored 10 goals, with his club – still the bottom-dwellers of MLS’ standings – not losing any of those matches.

Messi will try and get Miami closer to another trophy on Wednesday when his side faces Cincinnati in the US Open Cup semifinal.

And he’ll make his MLS debut on Saturday when his side visits the New York Red Bulls.

Tyson Fury’s father John flips tables to end the press conference for son Tommy’s fight against KSI

  • Tommy Fury’s father John flipped his table during Tuesday’s press conference
  • John was furious after KSI mocked Tommy and his older brother Tyson Fury
  • Security rushed in as a mass brawl broke out between the two teams on stage

Tommy Fury’s father, John, erupted on stage while supporting his son during Tuesday’s press conference.

John was seen flipping tables and shouting at KSI after the YouTube-turned-boxer threw shade on the Fury name.

KSI – who will go toe-to-toe with Tommy at the AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday, October 14 – was heard mocking the Gypsy family.

KSI’s business partner Logan Paul – who will be fighting Dillon Danis on the same evening – was also heard criticising the Fury’s before John kicked off.

John rose from his chair and shouted ‘the Fury’s are the best fighters in the world’ to cut Logan off mid-way through his speech.

John continued by saying: ‘The Fury’s dominate. We are the best men in the world. We will fight anybody in our way’.

To which KSI responded: ‘Why is Tyson Fury ducking Oleksandr Usyk then? Why is he ducking Oleksandr Usyk?’.

John was furious with KSI and snapped back: ‘Full of s***. Full of s***. Shut up ‘mother******. Come fight me now instead of talking all this bull**** about people’s f****** b*******.

He continued: ‘We are fighting men. My son [pointing to Tommy] will fight him now [pointing to KSI] and then fight anyone else who wants it. Now, lets get the f****** ball rolling.

‘Get the cake and shove it up your a*** hole before I do it. All these little f****** kids. I am a machine. Me! Can anyone question who I am here? I will take them’.

John finished by knocking the microphones over and flipping his table before kicking KSI’s table over too.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer was furious and jumped to his feet to square up to Tommy’s father.

As a result, security rushed in as both teams went gunning for each other.

Confederation of British Industry scraps annual conference

The Confederation of British Industry has scrapped its annual conference as it continues to reel over allegations of workplace misconduct.

The event is usually attended by the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition, as well as city bigwigs, who discuss key policy issues facing business.

But the CBI – which hosts the annual conference in the autumn – omitted the event from its upcoming fixtures, according to The Sunday Times.

It is understood the group is planning an alternative event towards the end of 2023.

The CBI has been on a mission to revamp its reputation after a series of allegations against the group emerged earlier this year.

These included allegations of rape at the CBI’s summer party in 2019 and inappropriate comments made to female members of staff.

The group posted a list of more than 40 new events last week as it attempts to carve out a new image.

Silver service! West Ham’s Europa Conference League heroes pose for triumphant photos after winning their first European trophy in 58 years

West Ham‘s Europa Conference League-winning stars stepped into the photo booth to pose with their trophy after the final whistle on Wednesday evening.

Fresh from beating Fiorentina 2-1 at the Fortuna Stadium in Prague, the players revelled in showing off their achievement as they sought to capture a moment in history.

Jarrod Bowen looked particularly pleased to have been handed the Man of the Match award, after the England international scored the match-winning goal on the stroke of the 90th minute.

Fiorentina’s pacey dominance had held West Ham back for much of the final, but the east London side were the first to break the deadlock when Said Benrahma scored from the spot in the second half.

Just five minutes later, Giacomo Bonaventura levelled proceedings with a gracefully-struck shot that had Alphonse Areola beaten.

But victory in the Czech capital saw the Irons break their 58-year duck in Europe in spectacular fashion and provide a pitch-perfect send-off for outgoing captain Declan Rice.

Just hours into their newly-minted status as European champions – and before the all-nighter and raucous open-top bus parade – the men who made a difference in the final got to grips with the latest addition to West Ham’s trophy cabinet.

A straw poll of conservatives revealed on Saturday that Donald Trump is strengthening his grip on the party grassroots, but also found that Gavin Newsom is viewed by many as the likely Democratic runner in 2024.

Only eight percent of attendees at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas Texas thought that President Joe Biden will be on the ticket.

In contrast, 37 percent said they believed the California governor – who has been dinging Republican governors in Texas and Florida with newspaper and TV ads – will win the Democratic nomination.

‘You’re saying it’s going to be Gavin Newsom,’ said pollster Jim McLaughlin to the crowd.

‘What jumps out at me? Only eight percent think it’s gonna be Joe Biden.’

The White House has repeatedly said that Biden plans to run for a second term, despite misgivings among many in his party who think at age 82 he would be too old for another inauguration.

Less surprising was that the overwhelmingly hard right crowd plumped for Trump as the Republican nominee. He won 69 percent to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ 24 percent.

The results show Trump strengthening his grip on the conservative grass roots. He increased his lead over second place DeSantis to 45 points since the last poll was done in February

Last time around, in Florida in February, Trump’s lead was narrower – 59 to 28 – probably reflecting that the poll was in DeSantis’ home state.

‘So you know how the mainstream media has been telling us his you know, influence in the party is waning,’ said McLaughlin. ‘Not at all.

‘As a matter of fact, what’s happening is he’s more popular than ever.

‘Let me know the next Republican that wins the Republican primary by running against the president and his agenda.’

If Trump decides not to run, DeSantis is the overwhelming favorite. He gets the vote of 65 percent of respondents and the former president’s son Don Jr. leaps into second place at eight percent.

Former Vice President Mike Pence barely registers with a crowd still furious that he refused to follow Trump’s orders to reverse the election result. He managed only 0.3 percent.

And other possible contenders managed only single digits. Sen. Ted Cruz took two percent and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley had the support of one percent.

Trump has yet to declare a run, but has repeatedly hinted that he will stand again.

While he retains a strong grip on the grassroots of the party, some key donors and leaders fear his unfounded complaints of election rigging will turn off independents and swing voters.

That he would win the CPAC straw poll was never in doubt.

But the poll also showed how attendees had lapped up the Trump agenda.

It found that they ranked election integrity and the border wall as the two most important issues.

The exhibitors’ hall at the Hilton Anatole hotel, was filled with Trump merchandise, MAGA hats were everywhere and the former president’s likeness could be seen on cardboard cutouts and T-shirts.

The conference heard from speaker after speaker who claimed that Trump was the best candidate to win back the White House.

Britain's Nigel Farage said Trump had lost 20lb and looked like he had lost the weight of the world from his shoulders. I believe Donald Trump is the man to go out there and fight on behalf of America and the Western world,' he told an enthusiastic CPAC crowd

Britain’s Nigel Farage said Trump had lost 20lb and looked like he had lost the weight of the world from his shoulders. I believe Donald Trump is the man to go out there and fight on behalf of America and the Western world,’ he told an enthusiastic CPAC crowd

‘I believe that you in the conservative movement in this country are very lucky to have a man who since he left office looks like he’s lost about 20 pounds,’ said Nigel Farage, Britain’s best-known Brexit campaigner, whose 2016 referendum win came months before Trump’s victory.

‘The weight of the world is coming off his shoulders. His nominees are winning the primaries, and I believe Donald Trump is the man to go out there and fight on behalf of America and the Western world.’

The key question for attendees was not so much who should run in 2024, but what DeSantis – who occupies the same political territory as Trump with a younger face – should do with his new national profile.

Shane Trejo, of Republicans for Renewal, said both men were the sort of leaders that the grassroots party should be trying to emulate.

‘I think it would make a lot of sense for Trump to run in 2024 and then DeSantis to finish what he’s doing in Florida, make Florida a red state for generations to come, and then run in 2028,’ said Trejo.

‘DeSantis is a young man… that seems to be best for the for the party and to keep the movement from fracturing.’

Patriot Mobile’s booth hawks its phone plans beside a cardboard figure of Trump dressed like Rambo.

Stalls sell ‘Don’t blame I voted for Trump’ T-Shirts.

And the story of the Russia investigation is on sale in the form of a children’s fairytale book.

Trejo’s stall is one of the few that features DeSantis in a poster with the quote: ‘America needs a new generation of leaders.’ On the other side is Trump: ‘You’ll never take back our country with weakness.

Although Trump is front and center, DeSantis has made a strong showing in recent months, and has used his position in Florida to generate national headlines.

His opposition to vaccine mandates made him a conservative figurehead during the pandemic. And he has spent the past year aligning himself with parents as he battles what he describes as ‘woke indoctrination in our schools.’

It is no surprise that CPAC attendees are Trump loyalists keen for him to run again in 2024

His Parental Rights in Education Act, nicknamed ‘Don’t Say Gay’ by critics, outlaws any instruction involving sexual orientation or gender identity in the earliest grades.

And on Thursday he made national headlines again when he suspended the elected state prosecutor of Tampa for refusing to enforce the state’s new 15-week abortion ban.

With that sort of profile he now runs a consistent second to Trump among Republicans asked to pick their favoured nominee for 2024. And last month, he overtook the former president in a Florida poll for the first time.

The result has been a slew of stories that Trump and DeSantis are fighting for control of the party.

That has got some Trump allies rattled.

A group inside the former president’s inner circle has been pushing Trump to announce his run sooner rather than later, and head off DeSantis before he gets more purchase.

Trump will almost certainly tease the idea of a 2024 run in his Saturday speech. Yet questions remain about whether he will ultimately trade in his daily round of golf and string-free fundraising life for a campaign back in the media spotlight and the financial constraints of the Federal Election Commission.

But the consensus at the conference was that Trump is still the man and DeSantis’s moment will come later.

Martha Johnson, 69, a retired systems analyst who traveled from Mississippi said she wanted Trump to be the candidate in 2024.

‘I would have to say Trump because DeSantis will have another term in Florida,’ she said. ‘He has a job to do there.’

The two inhabit the same political nook of the Republican party. And Trump world insiders insist the idea that the two would fight each other for the nomination is a media creation, and that they would likely reach a deal that would accommodate the ambitions of both.

Kevin Caldwell compared Trump with famed oil well firefighter Red Adair, making him just the sort of leader to battle the crises facing the country.

‘I do think a guy like DeSantis – the class that he brings to the table, the education he brings to the table, his overall ability to get things done in a bipartisan manner, the way he’s also willing to stand up to critics – is going to be a necessary component,’ he said.

‘I just think it’s too early for that.’

West Ham fan joins Mark Noble on a run through Prague – with beer in hand – in hilarious video as part of ‘Hammers celebrity bingo’ game ahead of Europa Conference League final with Fiorentina

Mark Noble received some unexpected company on his run through Prague ahead of West Ham’s Europa Conference League final clash on Wednesday night.

The Hammers legend was seen in club kit on a jog around the Czech capital on Tuesday, where a particularly keen fan was quick to join him.

The former midfielder has taken on a role as the club’s sporting director since hanging up his boots at the end of the 2021-22 season, and will as such be in attendance for one of the biggest nights in the club’s history.

The London club will face beaten Coppa Italia finalists Fiorentina in the showpiece climax of UEFA’s third-tier continental competition, with a place in next season’s Europa League on the line.

Given the gravity of the occasion for David Moyes’ side, fans have arrived in Prague in their droves, but one supporter seemingly took it to the next level, sharing a hilarious exchange with the legendary former captain on Twitter

Matt Groombridge shared a clip on Twitter of his meeting with Noble, beer in hand, as the 36-year-old jogged round the city.

On catching a glimpse of Noble, he said: ‘How you doing Mark? Alright?’

To which Noble replied, with a huge grin on his face: ‘F***ing sweet!’

Groombridge continued: ‘Hard work this bruv, isn’t it?’

And Noble responded, gesturing to the beer in the fan’s hand: ‘Yeah. What you got in your hand?’

‘Pilsner – are we going to win tomorrow?’

An excited Noble responded: ‘I hope so, I hope so.’

‘Mate, what a f***ing day! Have a good evening, geez, see you later!’

Groombridge has been playing a game he refers to as ‘West Ham celebrity bingo’, posting a list of famous people that he is trying to spot in attendance ahead of the historic night in Prague.

Alongside the perhaps anticipated names like James Corden, Danny Dyer and Ray Winstone, Groombridge has also included the likes of Dave Grohl, Keira Knightley, Dame Helen Mirren, and even former American president Barack Obama.

The Hammers are looking to win a first major European trophy since 1965, when they lifted the Cup Winners’ Cup.

However, they will find waiting a difficult Fiorentina side, led by Moroccan World Cup hero Sofyan Amrabat, looking to end their own trophy drought, having lifted the same title in 1961.

A furious husband was caught on camera slapping a doctor at a medical conference in Maryland after accusing him of sexually assaulting his wife in 2016.

The video, which was shot last month during the annual meeting of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) in Baltimore, sees the man walking up to the podium and hurling insults.

The acoustics of the room and nearby microphone ensure that every word is crystal clear for all to hear, with even the crack of each slap against the man’s face reverberating around the meeting room.

The audience member, who has not been named, could be seen grabbing the doctor, who was a panelist on the podium, by his shirt before slapping him with his hand.

The assaulted doctor has been identified as a gynecologic oncology doctor at Stony Brook University Cancer Center in Long Island, New York, according to WMAR.  He has not been named as he has not been charged with a crime.

‘This mother****** sexually assaulted my wife seven years ago,’ the audience member announce before slapping the panelist. ‘You know what you did. You touched my wife 7 years ago in New York. Don’t be an a******. B****!’, he says slapping him again.

‘This is for all men who sexually assault women,’ he went on. ‘Be a f***ing man!’

The audience member is so upset as he makes his accusations he declares the assault on the doctor panelist is for all men who harm women in such a manner.

He emphasizes that his wife has been suffering due to his alleged predatory actions.

A woman calls out, ‘Security!’ – which only enrages the man further.

‘You can call security, the police! I don’t give a f***!’

The incident led to a police investigation after officers were called to the conference center to handle the physical assault.

It goes on: ‘We recognize that those who witnessed the incident in person or online may have experienced trauma as a result, including many of you who have experienced sexual assault or other violence in the past.’

The doctor who was assaulted declined to press charges or file a report against the man, preferring instead that the husband be simply escorted off the premises, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

None of the panelists have commented on what had occurred before them.

EXCLUSIVE: West Ham plan to turn the Olympic Park into a huge fan zone if they reach the Europa Conference League final… with thousands set to be disappointed with just 5,000 tickets available in Prague

  • West Ham hold a 2-1 lead over AZ Alkmaar going into the second-leg next week
  • The Fortuna Arena holding the final has capacity for a fraction over 20,000
  • Allocations for both of the finalists would receive around just 5,000 fans

West Ham are exploring plans to install a fan zone adjacent to the London Stadium in the event that they reach the Europa Conference League final next month.

David Moyes’s side hold a 2-1 first-leg lead in their semi-final with AZ Alkmaar but, if they make it through, thousands of supporters will be unable to make the June 7 final in Prague because of the tiny capacity at Fortuna Arena.

The ground has capacity for a fraction over 20,000, with the allocations for each of the finalists around just 5,000.

In mitigation for such a limited presence at the game, West Ham are taking the sensible step of considering options in advance for how they might mark their first European final since 1976.

Sources have indicated that will possibly include giant screens on the London 2012 warm-up track at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, in the shadow of the stadium. It would be a key part of the club’s broader plans to make the site feel more of a ‘home’ to West Ham fans after the difficult move from the Boleyn Ground in 2016.

The winner of West Ham’s tie with AZ Alkmaar will face Basel or Fiorentina.
