The man who was arrested for attempting to charge Donald Trump‘s motorcade in Miami is now in Washington, D.C. to protest outside the courthouse where the ex-President is expected to be arraigned on Thursday afternoon.

Domenic Santana, 61, showed up in the nation’s capital this week wearing a white and black striped prisoner outfit with a posterboard of a photoshopped mugshot of a bald Trump in an orange prison jumpsuit.

‘You do the crime you pay the time. Your time is up,’ the poster reads.

The other side is an orange background with black block letters reading: ‘Lock Him Up.’

Trump is expected to be arraigned at the E. Barrett Prettyman Courthouse after Special Counsel Jack Smith announced a grand jury’s four charges against the ex-President related to the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack.

Santana was arrested earlier this year for running in front of Trump’s motorcade as he left court from his second indictment for mishandling classified documents.

Video of the incident this summer shows Santana standing in front of Trump’s motorcade in his striped outfit and holding up his protest sign before being tackled out of the street by law enforcement and what appeared to be a suited member of the ex-President’s Secret Service detail.

‘They had to do their job. They didn’t know if I was armed. The police did a great job,’ Santana said. ‘Yeah, it was worth it – look, look, I’m getting the message out – he shoulda been locked up a long time ago.’

Trump is summoned to appear for his third incident in court on Thursday afternoon – but it’s still not clear if the ex-President will show up in D.C.

Special Counsel Smith announced the four new charges on Tuesday following an investigation into Trump’s involvement in the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot and the efforts to stop Congress from certifying the 2020 election.

A grand jury voted to indict Trump on conspiracy to defraud the U.S., conspiracy against citizens’ rights, obstruction and attempted obstruction of an official proceeding and witness tampering.

Trump’s schedule for the day has remained fluid and it’s still unclear if he will appear in-person for the arraignment or potentially hold a post-arraignment press conference. If he does show, the ex-President will be booked and processed by U.S. Marshals and fingerprinted

If he does appear, Trump is likely to plead not guilty to all four felony charges. His schedule for the day remains fluid, while his team didn’t rule out the possibility of a press conference following the arraignment on Thursday.

Trump is expected to be met with a barrage of camera, supporters and even protesters as he is booked and processed by the U.S. Marshals Service. He will be fingerprinted but no mugshot will be taken.

The arraignment is being overseen by Biden-appointed Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadhyaya – a different judge will handle the criminal trial.

Trump’s top 2024 competitor Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said after news broke of the indictment that Americans should have the legal ability to move their cases out of D.C.’s jurisdiction because ‘swamp mentality’ could affect jurors.

The ex-President agrees, posting to his Truth Social on Tuesday night that it’s ‘impossible’ that he will be given a fair trial in D.C.

‘The latest Fake ‘case’ brought by Crooked Joe Biden & Deranged Jack Smith will hopefully be moved to an impartial Venue, such as the politically unbiased nearby State of West Virginia!’ he wrote on his social media platform. ‘IMPOSSIBLE to get a fair trial in Washington, D.C., which is over 95% anti-Trump, & for which I have called for a Federal TAKEOVER in order to bring our Capital back to Greatness.’

He added: ‘It is now a high crime embarrassment to our Nation and, indeed, the World. This Indictment is all about Election Interference!!!’

U.S. Capitol Police, the Metropolitan Police Department, Park Police, Marshals Service and the Federal Protective Service are all on high-alert for the indictment and prepared for the arraignment for the last few weeks.

‘We’re prepared for tomorrow,’ U.S. Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger told reporters Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday there was a false report of an active shooter on Capitol Hill, leading Senate buildings to shelter in place during the scare.

The different law enforcement agencies held several calls Wednesday to review plans for the day.

The indictments and growing legal woes facing Trump are only bolstering his support among Republican voters.

In March, before his first indictment, Trump was earning 43 percent of the GOP primary vote, according to a RealClearPolitics average. A day after he was charged in the case involving hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels, his support jumped to 50 percent in the same tracking.

A few months later in early June, Trump was indicted for a second time on 37 charges related to mishandling classified documents he was privy to while President. His polling average jumped again to 55 percent.

Polling on RealClearPolitics only tracks until Monday, August 1 – a day before the third and latest indictment – but it still shows Trump far in the lead against his 14 GOP challengers.

Criminal ring ’caused seven people to kill themselves’ and extorted £3million from victims with fake emails saying they had to pay a fine of up to £170,000 or face child porn charges

  • The phishing scam involved false emails from police, judges or institutions
  • Police said they arrested 18 people in France and one in Belgium

Police in France and Belgium said today they had smashed a criminal ring that used fake court summonses accusing people of watching child pornography to extort at least £3 million.

The phishing scam involved false emails from police, judges or institutions such as Europol threatening victims with prosecution unless they paid a ‘fine’.

The sums extracted from the victims ranged from less than £4,285 to up to £1,715, Colonel Thomas Andreu, head of one of the special French police units, told AFP.

Police said one of the victims – who had been stung twice by the crooks – committed suicide, and six others may have also potentially killed themselves.

Police added that they arrested 18 people in France and one in Belgium in an operation on Monday, with all but three of the suspects ordered to appear in court on fraud charges.

‘We thought that the fraud was being run by one central structure,’ Andreu said. ‘However, it turned out to be several little teams which were not linked.’

The scam began at the start of 2021, leading the cybercrime section of the Paris prosecutor’s office to open an investigation.

By June 2022 some 400 complaints relating to the scam had been made to authorities.

Commissioner Christophe Durand, of the French OCLCTIC anti-cybercrime unit, said the ‘victims had suffered real distress’.

Some of the money extorted from the men – who were aged on average around 60 – was spent in France, but most was sent to the Ivory Coast and other African countries.

The man who was hit twice was first made to pay £5,123 before the criminals asked him for a further £6,411.

‘Feeling powerless and trapped, he took his own life,’ the police said.

The suspects are aged between 20 and 50.

Rep. James Comer, the Oversight Republican leading the GOP probe into Hunter Biden, ruled out a subpoena for the president’s testimony but said they will press forward with a subpoena for his son.

‘There’s no plans to subpoena Joe Biden. There are plans to subpoena Hunter Biden,’ Comer, R-Ky., told CNN

Comer, who is likely to be the next chairman of the Oversight Committee, noted that subpoenaing a sitting president launches a whole host of executive privilege issues.

‘The Democrats sent out subpoenas like junk mail, and that’s why it’s hard to get people to come in,’ Comer said.

Still, he said the investigation will focus on Joe Biden’ connections to Hunter’s business dealings.

Republicans who are expected to be on the Oversight Committee next year gave a wide-ranging press conference on Thursday claiming Biden was involved in his son Hunter’s controversial foreign business deals, which allegedly spans 50 different countries.

The president has long denied involvement in and knowledge of his son’s foreign dealings – some of which are being investigated by federal authorities.

Republicans vowed repeatedly during the 2022 election that they would use their return to power to investigate the Bidens. The investigations will likely drag into 2024, which is when campaigning for the next presidential election will begin. Joe Biden has said he intends to run for a second term.

Comer on Thursday accused President Biden of being ‘chairman of the board’ of his family’s business dealings and even claimed the White House spent more than $250,000 to deflect negative stories about Hunter.

‘This is an investigation of Joe Biden,’ he said. ‘I think we’ve laid out the evidence as to why we feel it’s important, and we’re going to move forward with that.’

He said later, ‘We’re trying to stay focused on – was Joe Biden directly involved with Hunter Biden’s business deals, and is he compromised?’

The White House on Thursday slammed Republicans for pushing ‘long-debunked conspiracy theories’ about President Biden and Hunter as the administration prepares a count offensive to the GOP’s return to power.

The White House accused the Republicans, who will control the House’s investigative committees next year, of seeking ‘political revenge.’

‘Instead of working with President Biden to address issues important to the American people, like lower costs, congressional Republicans’ top priority is to go after President Biden with politically-motivated attacks chock full of long-debunked conspiracy theories,’ Ian Sams, spokesman for the White House Counsel’s office, told DailyMail.com.

‘President Biden is not going to let these political attacks distract him from focusing on Americans’ priorities, and we hope congressional Republicans will join us in tackling them instead of wasting time and resources on political revenge,’ he added.

Additionally Democrats, led by activist David Brock, have formed Facts First USA: a $5 million-a-year ‘SWAT team to counter Republican congressional investigations,’ including on issues that ‘may be too personal or delicate for the White House to be responding or to even be seen as directing a response’ – an apparent reference to Hunter Biden, the New York Times reported.

Hunter Biden’s business dealings are the subject of the House GOP’s first announced investigation of the party’s new majority in Congress’ lower chamber – above Joe and Hunter Biden leaving church in August

Rep. James Comer led the press conference, where he made clear that the the president himself was the target of the House GOP’s probe

In 2017, after Joe Biden was vice president but before he ran for the White House, Hunter Biden tried to set up an investment company with a Chinese oil company.

It ultimately didn’t come to fruition but Hunter’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski revealed in October 2020 that he discussed their deal with Chinese oil giant CEFC directly with Joe.

But corporate records reviewed by The Wall Street Journal show no role for Joe Biden in that venture.

Emails recovered from the laptop also show Hunter discussing with associates the beginnings of a business deal in China – where one message discussing equity stakes carves out 10 percent ‘for the big guy.’

However, earlier this month DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that a whistleblower claimed Joe Biden was involved in a 2012 venture from Hunter Biden into online gambling in Latin America.

In 2019, Hunter complained to his daughter Naomi over text message that he had to give his father Joe ‘half’ his salary.

Comer said the main focus of their probe for right now was to access bank records.

‘As part of our investigation, we have evidence that the finances, credit cards, and bank accounts of Hunter and Joe Biden were commingled, if not shared,’ the Republican lawmaker said.

‘One of Hunter’s closest associates, Eric Schwerin, was accessing Joe Biden’s money and writing checks to reimburse Hunter.’

He said some accounts linked to the Biden family raised ‘red flags’ about ‘suspicious or illegal activity.’

At least one of those red flags, known as ‘SARs,’ allegedly ‘connects Hunter Biden and his business associates to international human trafficking, among other illegal activities,’ Comer said.

‘We have repeatedly called on the Biden Treasury Department to release additional financial documents to committee Republicans, but thus far Treasury has refused,’ the lawmaker said. ‘We want to know what the Biden administration has tried to hide from the American people and why they are not being transparent.’

Hunter ally Schwerin was reportedly head of the president’s son’s company and handed the majority of his finances – and appointed to a position within the Obama administration, when Joe Biden was vice president.

‘After an apparent falling out with Schwerin, Hunter began coordinating business himself – and increasingly the deals brought in Joe Biden as a direct equity holder,’ Comer said.

He claimed Hunter went a step further and tried to get these bank alerts quashed – allegedly with the help of a Clinton administration official.

A suspicious activity report (SAR) is supposed to be triggered by a minimum amount of a transfer and a suspicion the transfer involved funds derived from an illegal activity. It does not mean a crime has occurred.

‘JOE WAS THE BIG GUY’: HOUSE REPUBLICAN ALLEGATIONS AGAINST THE BIDEN FAMILY

  • Business plans aimed at targets around the world based on influence peddling, including with people closely tied to foreign governments like China and Russia
  • Plans based in the United States where the Biden family swindled investors of hundreds of thousands of dollars. All with Joe Biden’s participation or knowledge
  • Whistleblowers describe President Biden as ‘chairman of the board’ for these businesses. He personally participated in meetings and phone calls.
  • Biden family sought business in 50 countries. On the international side of the Biden family business, the deals were often led by Hunter Biden
  • Among the dozens of shell companies the Bidens set up, there were millions of dollars of wire transfers, flights on Air Force Two to conduct personal business, and meetings with heads of state all while Joe Biden was aware of what was happening
  • Biden family accumulated over 150 SARs. One SAR generated by an American bank to the Treasury Department connects Hunter Biden and his business associates to international human trafficking, among other illegal activities
  • Evidence Hunter Biden sought to evade these SARs, using his financial advisor, coincidentally a former Clinton Administration official
  • One of Hunter’s closest associates—Eric Schwerin—was accessing Joe Biden’s money and writing checks to reimburse Hunter. Schwerin arranged the Biden’s international deals around the world while he was a frequent visitor at the Biden White House
  • One of these deals involved the sale of American natural gas to China. Evidence suggests Joe Biden held a 10 percent equity stake in secret through his son
  • Domestically, Jim Biden—Joe Biden’s brother—used the Biden name to enrich himself in return for the promise that when Joe Biden became President in 2020, business partners would get rich by having access to a future Biden Administration

Comer also took a swipe at more holistic coverage of the president’s son that puts Hunter’s questionable ethics into context with his battle against drug addiction.

‘Hunter Biden isn’t this guy who just got a bad rap because he’s got a drug problem,’ Comer said.

The lawmakers said a report detailing their investigation and evidence thus far – which appears to largely be made up of whistleblower testimony – would be forthcoming.

The troubling scope of Hunter’s business dealings in Ukraine and China came to light when the New York Post, and subsequently DailyMail.com, authenticated the contents of a laptop hard drive purportedly belonging to the president’s only surviving son.

He received a lucrative salary while on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma, despite having no experience in the industry, while his father was vice president and leading a coalition to crack down on corruption there.

This is the first announced investigation by House Republicans with their new Congressional majority

This is the first announced investigation by House Republicans with their new Congressional majority

Republicans on Thursday alleged that ‘the big guy’ is the US president.

‘At a time when Americans are suffering from high energy prices, because of this administration’s terrible energy policy, we find evidence that Hunter Biden and Joe Biden were involved in a scheme to try to get China to buy liquefied natural gas, and from a whistleblower, to try to get their foot in the door with China starting to purchase an interest in natural gas drillers,’ Comer said.

He presented as evidence a print-out of what he claimed was a slide show regarding the business deal that was found on Hunter’s laptop.

When pressed, however, Comer said the slide was likely from around 2017.

The Kentucky Republican would not say concretely how that is linked to today’s energy crisis when asked, but said: ‘I mean, Joe Biden says he’s gonna stand up to China.’

‘Joe Biden says he’s going to rewrite our whole energy policy…And he was a 10 percent equity owner in a company whose sole mission was to to purchase liquefied natural gas from the United States and try to take over the energy the natural gas industry in America through natural gas wholesalers and natural gas drillers,’ Comer said.

‘I mean, I don’t think Joe Biden has been honest American people about that.’

It’s worth noting that it’s not clear that the deal was ever finalized.

A former Republican councilman cuffed last month on drug charges has been arrested again at his Rhode Island home for first-degree child molestation.

Out on bail for a June 15 court appearance, Republican Councilman Matthew Reilly was arrested Thursday at his Rhode Island home before appearing before a court.

He’s now being held without bail on several more sex charges including the first-degree child molestation charge, as well as second-degree child molestation and enticing a person younger than 16 – for crimes that allegedly took place May 3.

They involve an unnamed 12-year-old girl police sources said Reilly met online.

He appeared in court for an arraignment hearing Thursday, donning a hooded sweatshirt and handcuffs before being led away to a Cranston lockup.

He is still facing an unrelated drug charge that saw him resign last month, three days after cops released bodycam video of him high on what they confirmed to be a cocktail of crack and fentanyl, laid out in the driver’s seat of his car.

‘The arrest warrant resulted from an investigation by Detectives from the Cranston Police Special Victims Unit and the prosecutors from the Office of the Rhode Island Attorney General that began on May 7, 2023,’ Cranston cops wrote in a press release of Reilly’s Thursday arrest.

They added that the month-long investigation was launched after the department a complaint filed by ‘the legal guardian of a twelve-year-old girl’ who they added was ‘unrelated to Reilly’.

The guardian, who was not named, filed the complaint at the Cranston Police Department Headquarters police said in the release.

Court records show the incident in question took place on May 3, and sources told WJAR the allegations involve a young girl Reilly met online.

Prior to resigning, Reilly – who has two young daughter himself – had been in the midst of a messy divorce, during which he a legal battle with his wife over his kids’ custody.

According to multiple sources, at least two attorneys and a family court judge notified the court during those proceedings about Reilly’s drug use, while claiming engaging in sordid trysts with some of this clients.

Text messages produced by his wife’s attorney claimed the then rep was also medicating his own children with drugs like melatonin in order to go to meet with a client for sex late at night, and even conspired to frame his wife of violating a court-mandated no contact order.

The children’s mother added in her own statement: ‘In numerous occasions, I received phone calls from our eldest daughter in the middle of the night upset that she woke up and her father was not home.’

Despite this alleged evidence, no action was taken against Reilly.

It was this divorce that would Reilly would later use to deflect responsibility for his recently recorded episode this May, in which he told police he relapsed after 13 years of sobriety.

This was after police said they discovered the then councilman pulled over at the side of a road with drug paraphernalia and a ‘white, rock-like substance’ that onsite tests revealed to be crack cocaine and fentanyl.

Cranston police have released body cam footage from the incident, showing Reilly completely passed out, while holding a crack pipe containing the aforementioned illegal substances.

Three days later, Reilly was forced to resign. The now viral bodycamera footage showed him high on what cops confirmed to be a cocktail of crack and fentanyl, mouth agape in the backseat of his car.

‘You were literally choking in your sleep. Someone was flagging me down about it,’ one of the officers can be heard saying in the clip after cuffing the Republican rep.

‘I have sleep apnea. I’m sorry,’ Reilly argues – to which the officer responds: ‘Well, you have a crack pipe in your hands.’

The councilman from Cranston, Rhode Island, has since resigned from his position of chairman of the Cranston Republican Party, eventually stepping down from the city council a few days later.

At the time, Cranston Mayor Ken Hopkins decried Reilly’s behavior, saying she hoped he ‘is able to find a path to recovery and the help that he needs.’

He was charged with one count of drug possession and arraigned with a bail commissioner before being quickly released on bail

He is now being held on the aforementioned sex charges, which  Cranston Police Chief Michael J. Winquist on Thursday declined to provide any further details on.

In an email Thursday evening to The Daily Beast, Reilly’s attorney, Michael J. Lepizzera, Jr.,  wrote his client had entered a not guilty plea to the molestation charges.

‘With these types of charges, I can see the general public and even close friends instantaneously turning their back on Mr. Reilly and drawing knee jerk conclusions,’ Lepizzera said.

‘I simply ask everyone to refrain from public ridicule and gossip and allow the legal process to unfold in the ordinary course.

‘While we may not have a perfect system of justice in this country (as nothing is perfect), my 30 years as a lawyer allows me to state that we have as near perfect judicial system as could exist and we should trust in the system to be the final adjudicator of the facts, the law, and any legal outcome.’

Reilly is due back in court on June 15.

Sacked Javi Gracia defends his Leeds record – despite winning just three of his 12 games – and insists they now have ‘a good chance’ of survival after picking up more points than their rivals in his tenure

Javi Gracia has released a statement following his dismissal as Leeds interim boss defending his record in charge of the club.

The Whites confirmed the appointment of Sam Allardyce as their new manager until the end of the season just three days after Leeds’ disappointing 4-1 defeat to relegation rivals Bournemouth

The ex-England boss inherits a side sitting just above the relegation zone, ahead of Nottingham Forest on goal difference, heading into the last four games.

Yet Gracia insists that his spell in charge of the club was a success in that he gave Leeds a ‘good chance’ of achieving their objective of resisting the drop.

He wrote in his first statement since being sacked: ‘The coaching staff and I took over the team in 19th position, with a run of 10 games without a win.

‘Today after 11 games (in the Premier League) played and four left in the league, the team is out of the relegation zone and with a good chance of achieving the objective.

‘It has been a very intense period for many reasons. A busy schedule, injuries, and a young but skilled team.

‘However, we managed to position ourselves better than our rivals and this is shown by the results. Compared with our direct rivals since we were hired, we are the team with the most points – 11 in total – compared to our main competitors.’

Gracia managed positive results against the likes of Southampton, Wolves and Forest – as well as a creditable draw against high-flying Brighton.

However, it was his side’s defensive record that ultimately contributed to his demise, with the Whites conceding 28 goals in his 11 league games and keeping just one clean sheet.

Additionally, as the club headed for a decisive run-in that would decide their fate as a Premier League team, he was without a win since beating Forest 2-1 in early April – a winless run of five in which the club conceded four or more three times.

As a result, Leeds made the decision to axe Gracia in favour of survival specialist Allardyce.

‘Big Sam’s’ four games to save the club see them take on three of the league’s top six, with a trip to Manchester City next up, followed by the visit of Newcastle and a clash with Tottenham on the final day.

They must also successfully negotiate a tie with relegation rivals West Ham in their penultimate fixture, with the club up against it in the battle for survival.

‘I know it’s in a lot of trouble, but I’ve seen a lot of trouble before,’ Allardyce said after his appointment. ‘I could’ve done with more time, but we’ve got four games and hopefully I can keep this fabulous club in the Premier League.

‘I was shocked. I never thought at this stage of the season… I thought there would be no jobs.

‘The phone popped up with a name I knew fairly well, I knew what it was, and it took me two seconds to say yes.’
