The White Lotus actress, 25, who has stunned in several looks so far at the 80th annual event, put on a jaw-dropping display in a pink tulle dress.

Sydney was joined at the bash by stylish Ever Anderson, who looked chic in a polka dot mini dress with a cut out section.

The Euphoria star’s look was substantially more glitzy, as her dress included beaded straps across its sweetheart neckline, teamed with dazzling heels.

Sydney completed the look with a pair of diamond earrings and a matching ring, while styling her blonde hair in a loose bouncy style. 

Ever, 15, who is the daughter actress Milla Jovovich and director Paul W. S. Anderson, looked equally chic as she made her arrival at the event.

The Peter Pan actress styled her cute mini dress with a pair of chunky brown Miu Miu brogues and a nude leather bag by the brand.

She wore her brunette hair in soft ways and sported shades atop her locks.

The Venice Film Festival has lacked its usual star power this year with many Hollywood A-listers forced to shun the event because of the actors’ strike.

However, Armani, one of Italy´s greatest postwar designers, had no problem filling the city’s old armoury with glitz and glamour.

Calls for Covid face masks to return are ramping up amid increasing virus rates and the rise of a highly-mutated new variant.

An Atlanta college has become the first since the government declared the pandemic over to mandate masks for students and staff just days after classes began.

Morris Brown College, a private liberal arts school, is requiring students and employees to wear face masks in hallways and lecture halls for two weeks due to ‘reports of positive cases among students.’

Officials have also told students to maintain social distancing and banned all parties and large student gatherings for two weeks. 

Meanwhile, in an editorial published by the American College of Physicians (ACP), Government doctors and public health experts in Seattle have called for face coverings to be made compulsory in all healthcare facilities once more.

They argue that hospital patients are at a higher risk of dying from or being seriously ill with Covid and would benefit from the ‘reduce[d] risk for Covid contracted in the hospital among patients and health care workers.’

The 10 experts — from Seattle & King County health department and the University of Washington — said we should ‘find ways to adapt to this new reality’ rather than ‘accepting unnecessary risks to patient and provider health.’

Talk of masking up in public has been gaining traction after the CDC said it was monitoring new Covid variant BA.2.86.

Numbers of Covid cases in Georgia have increased for three weeks in a row, but overall, the number of infections and hospitalizations remains low.

Meanwhile, the academic paper was likely written before the new variants came to light, and before Covid hospitalization rates started rising in the US.

Earlier today, a former FDA boss said he is ‘pretty concerned’ the variant known as BA.X, BA.2.86 or Pirola, which is ‘highly mutated’ and therefore likely to be better at escaping the immune systems of vaccinated or previously infected people.

Dr Scott Gottlieb acknowledged there is no evidence the variant is deadlier than older versions of the virus, but Covid fatalities in the US have already started to creep up, though they remain at near historic lows.

Hospitalizations and fatalities are now rising in the US, however, although these are coming up from historic lows and still well below this time last year.

In the article published Monday in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine, the ACP’s academic medical journal, said there is ‘rationale to integrate precautions’, including ‘the ongoing disease burden among persons at highest risk for severe Covid-19, the large proportion of transmission from asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic cases, uncertainty about the future course of the pandemic, and the effects of post–Covid-19 conditions.’

Statements expressed in the journal do not necessarily reflect the views of the ACP.

The researchers recognized that Covid cases have dropped dramatically since the pandemic due to vaccines, antivirals and increased community immunity, but said that ‘severe outcomes’ are still occurring due to the virus.

They argued that patients in hospitals are far more vulnerable due to age and underlying conditions.

The authors added: ‘If we accept the benefits of increased mask wearing in clinical settings, we should find ways to adapt to this new reality rather than accepting unnecessary risks to patient and provider health. 

‘Perhaps rather than removing masks to improve rapport building and enhance perceived empathy, we could find ways to improve masked communication.’ 

Patients should also be allowed to ‘request that their providers wear a mask when they believe it is appropriate,’ the commentary said.

The authors said the masking could take different approaches, such as across healthcare settings in targeted settings like transplant, oncology, and geriatric units, where risk is highest for patients, but noted this is a ‘less desirable’ option.

It could also be done in certain months of the year when the respiratory season is highest, depending on where the hospital is in the US, or when the burden of respiratory viruses on the community reaches a level deemed too high.

They reference Washington State — where healthcare organizations decided to extend universal masking in patient spaces, with individual facilities ‘given the flexibility to tailor policies to their own unique spaces.’

When Biden ended the Covid national emergency, the Covid measures were meant to have been dropped for good.

But some UK scientists — known for making gloomy predictions earlier in the pandemic — are so concerned about the new Covid variants they have advised people to mask up again.

Masks have long been a controversial Covid strategy due to the lack of hard evidence that they are effective.

One of the most comprehensive meta-analyses of face coverings found that masks made ‘little to no difference’ to Covid infection or death rates in community settings.

The debate around masks first turned sour in 2020 when health officials flip-flopped on their effectiveness.

Then-NIAID director Dr Anthony Fauci said in 2020 that masks were ‘not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is.’

He later suggested people should wear masks as a mark of ‘respect’ for others. He admitted to lying to the public about masks’ effectiveness to prevent panic buying and preserve masks for healthcare workers.

The agency still recommends Americans wear masks in places with high transmission levels, such as on public transport.

Critics of masks claim they have hindered communication and children’s development and progress at school.

Rises in RSV and flu in the winter were partly attributed to face-covering mandates because they prevented children from gaining natural immunity to other illnesses.

Ed Sheeran performed an exclusive concert featuring music from his latest album Subtract for SiriusXM subscribers.

The high-profile production is slated to air on SiriusXM’s The Ed Sheeran Channel on Wednesday, August 16 at 3:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm ET.

After that, the performance will re-air throughout the week – and the show will also  air on SiriusXM Hits 1. 

It comes after the redhead pop star performed for free at Sam Branson’s 38th birthday bash on Necker Island.

Soccer AM ran its final ever show on Saturday after it was cancelled following 28 years on screens.

In a programme filled with iconic segments, stern expletives and audio issues, Mark Fendley and Jimmy Bullard waved goodbye as they celebrated nearly three decades worth of memories.

Stormzy, Jack Whitehall and Stephen Graham joined Bullard – who admitted he was nervous at the start of the programme – and ‘Fenners’ on the show, with Tubes, branded ‘Mr Soccer AM’ by Fendley, interviewing Premier League title winning captain Ilkay Gundogan.

‘A very warm welcome to the last Soccer AM of the season and the last ever,’ Fendley said as the show began. ’28 years of madness comes to an end.’

He then joked the show had blown their remaining budget on the three guests, as comedian Whitehall admitted: ‘I love this show so much, I watched it growing up and it’s so fun to be here to celebrate the last show.’

Both Graham and Whitehall wore ice packs with it explained they had picked up injuries in the rehearsal for the show, with Graham failing to participate in any of the live challenges.

The group, following several cuts for Whitehall’s swearing during the opening segment, moved out to the John Arne Riise Arena Arena for one of the final challenges, with more iconic clips from the show’s history shown.

‘We are outside in the Riise for one final edition of You Know The Drill Live,’ Fendley began. ‘Some venue, many a goal has been scored, many a goal has been kicked and many a ball has been lost at £30 a pop. Plenty of memories made it’s almost impossible to pick a favourite.’

The did anyway, with clips shown of Bullard hitting the ‘top bin’ and Serge Pizzorno’s iconic volley.

What followed was Stormzy fluffing his lines in the volley challenge – though he did net a penalty to win Cheltenham fans £400 – before Whitehall shot off to perform a stand-up tour in Swansea.

A tribute was also paid to Tubes, real name Peter Dale, with his mum in the audience, as the veteran showed his emotions during his ‘One Question Only’ segment. 

Bullard admitted one of his favourite moments included Fenners playing Barry as another clip was shown, with the former Hull midfielder telling his co-host: ‘You are so good, I don’t want to send you off.’ 

The atmosphere was at times awkward, with Fendley’s audio dying towards the end of the show, as the presenters tried to keep morale high after Mail Sport revealed the show was being axed.

The final half hour of the show was delayed as the programme returned from a break to Fenners’ mic still not working, with the producer heard live on air as the presenter moved away from his seat and the live feed was cut.

There was still time for Graham to dish out his own expletives after messing up his ‘Shocker Saturday’ spot before Bullard and Fendley gave their final speeches.

‘I want to thank everyone at Sky for giving me an opportunity,’ Bullard said. ‘There are so many people to thank. Most of all John Boy. Without you this doesn’t exist. You are the b****** son, I love you.’

Fendley added: ’28 years, over 1,000 shows. Soccer AM has changed my life, I know it’s had an impact on many of yours. I’ve been privileged to have been a part of this odd, underdog TV show, the like of which we will probably never see again.

‘Some people didn’t and still don’t get it. Those of you that did and do, thanks for sticking with us. I’d like to thank Tim (Lovejoy), without Tim, Soccer AM wouldn’t have made it. He was ahead of his time and I will always be grateful for the opportunity he gave me.

‘The star of the show for many years was Helen Chamberlain, one of the best football presenters, male or female, to ever do it. She was a natural and a pioneer and one of the main reasons the show became such a success. 

‘To all of the people I’ve worked alongside, you’ve all played your part. Thank you to the guests, football clubs, the current team, but most of all, thank you for your support.’

Created in 1995 on the back of the mid-90s music and football boom, Soccer AM combined the pair and kick-started the careers of a number of bands.

Features, including car park and crossbar challenges, captured the imagination while it was also responsible for a campaign to introduce a gold star to England’s shirt to recognise the 1966 World Cup win.

The two presenters most closely-linked to the show, Lovejoy and Chamberlain, left in 2007 and 2017 respectively. Its final hosts were Fendley and former Wigan, Fulham and Peterborough playmaker Bullard.

Sky Sports Managing Director Jonathan Licht said: ‘We’d like to thank the Soccer AM team for their professionalism during a difficult period. We would also like to thank them, and all their former colleagues, for their contribution to Sky Sports over three amazing decades.’

The 40-year-old longtime actress – who is the face of the brand’s Icon campaign -modeled a look stitched together with gold safety pins.

The 2023 Met Gala returned to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday evening, with everyone from Kim Kardashian to Paris Hilton set to attend the annual fundraising event.

Since 1948 stars have ascended the majestic staircase into a very exclusive party where no selfies are allowed.

In keeping with tradition, the event will be held on the first Monday of May. It is scheduled to begin at 6:30PM EST on May 1, 2023.

The decision to honor Karl has sparked controversy given the many offensive remarks he has made over the years, from slamming the #MeToo movement to opposing same-sex marriage.

‘I’m against it for a very simple reason: In the 60s they all said we had the right to the difference. And now, suddenly, they want a bourgeois life,’ he told Vice of same-sex marriage.

‘It’s difficult to imagine—one of the papas at work and the other at home with the baby. How would that be for the baby? I don’t know. While the show may be known for its glitzy and over-the-top red carpet — with details of what occurs inside often remaining mysterious — at its heart, it is a fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
