Priest is investigated by Polish police after ‘gay orgy’ at his apartment ends in ‘clergyman friend’ overdosing on erectile pills and a male prostitute scandal

  • Fr. Tomasz Zmarzły is under investigation after a sex party at his flat went horribly wrong
  • A friend of the Polish priest keeled over after taking several potency tablets
  • He refused to let paramedics in after a male prostitute he was with called them

A priest who ordered a male prostitute and then called an ambulance after his friend collapsed from an overdose of erectile dysfunction pills is being investigated by prosecutors.

According to local media, Father Tomasz Zmarzły from the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Angels in Poland had allegedly thrown a small party at his apartment in the city of Dąbrowa Górnicza.

But after taking copious amounts of potency tablets, in the early hours of the morning his naked friend keeled over.

The male prostitute is then said to have called the emergency services at which point the priest was said to have ordered him to leave.

When paramedics arrived they found the prostitute waiting outside the apartment but Father Zmarzły allegedly refused to let them in.

They then reportedly called the police who were eventually allowed inside where they found the priest’s friend lying on the floor unconscious.

He was taken to hospital where he later recovered and discharged himself.

A source close to the incident told the newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza: ‘The event was organised by clergy and was purely sexual.

‘Its participants took potency pills.’

Informing his superior about the incident the following day, Father Zmarzły denied that he had organised a ‘gay orgy’.

The Bishop of Sosnowiec which oversees the disgraced priest’s parish said he had appointed a commission ‘to urgently explain the circumstances of the situation.’

Meanwhile, prosecutors have now launched their own investigation into the priest for failing to help his friend.

Deputy district prosecutor Czesław Kurpiś said: ‘The local prosecutor’s office is conducting proceedings regarding failure to provide assistance to a person whose life is at risk.

Established in 1901, the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Angels in Dąbrowa Górnicza was the first church in Poland to receive the title of basilica which was given by Pope Leo XIII.

The PR star is rumoured to have flown to Los Angeles to furnish the new property just three weeks ago at Restoration Hardware.

A complete home of furnishings will be airfreighted to Singapore for the new pad.

The star was seen outside the main heritage building along with by the pool.

Another photo showed the glamazon wearing a simple black dress, Hermes sandals, and a diamond necklace during the family outing.

Roxy and her children just relocated to the East Asian country to be with husband Oliver Curtis, leaving her beloved Sydney for good.

The PR queen looks to be settling in well after making a tidy profit from selling off her Vaucluse mansion for a whopping $16 million.

The star jetted off to start her new life in Singapore on Friday with her uncharacteristically sentimental over the move.

The 43-year-old posted a photo of herself on the plane, sitting in first class, along with the caption: ‘end of an era’.

Roxy and her clan spent their last few nights in Sydney at the luxury Crown hotel in the CBD after packing up the family mansion, which they sold last month.

Her children said goodbye to their school friends and nanny Martinica Canha, as their mother tied up loose ends.

The Sweaty Betty founder revealed back in June she was leaving Sydney to live with her husband in Singapore.

She admitted her life in the harbour city has a stark difference to her upcoming new life overseas.

‘No one knows me there, no one has any preconceived idea of who or what I am, no one has any expectation, and best of all, no one actually cares!’ she told the Sydney Morning Herald.

‘In Singapore it was a matter of “Roxy who?” I actually found it really refreshing and a bit liberating.’

Roxy also said she was prepared to get a divorce when her husband Oliver moved to Singapore for work.

Her marriage was previously under scrutiny after it was revealed that she’d sold her family mansion in Sydney’s Vaucluse and shut down some of her businesses after Oliver relocated to the Southeast Asian country for a job.

Roxy later confirmed that she and Oliver didn’t split and she decided to move instead.

Speaking to The Kyle And Jackie O Show, she explained she’d argued with her 37-year-old husband about his decision to leave, noting that he’d had spent years splitting his time between Sydney and Tasmania for his previous job.

‘I basically said to Ollie, “look, you go to Singapore and I’ll stay here”. And he’s like, “well, I don’t know if that will work”. And I was like, “well, it’s worked for the last five years”,’ she said.

Roxy recalled how Oliver told her he needed to be a resident of Singapore for the sake of his job and personal finances.

‘I was like, “Ok, well then what’s my option?” He goes, “oh, we have to get divorced”.’

Surprisingly, Roxy said she was perfectly content with ending her marriage then and there.

‘I’m good with that. So just give me the paperwork, I’ll sign the paperwork we can get divorced. You do your job there and I’ll stay here. And we’ll visit’,’ she said.

However Roxy eventually decided against ending the marriage and agreed to move the whole family to Singapore for the sake of Pixie and Hunter.

‘It’s time. They need a dad around, and because he’s never here… like, he comes [back home to Sydney] like two days at a time,’ she explained at the time.

She also blamed her long-distance relationship with Oliver as the reason why she constantly spoils her children with lavish gifts, claiming she struggles to tell her kids ‘no’ when he isn’t around.

Roxy later joked that Oliver ‘probably has a wife in each port’, adding: ‘But hey, whatever, it’s 2023.’

A dire search is underway for unaccounted residents after a massive section of a six-story apartment building collapsed in Iowa Sunday.

Rescue crews were on scene at the building on Main Street in Davenport Sunday night into Monday frantically digging through the rubble.

A portion of the building came crashing down around 5pm as panicked residents desperately tried to flee for their lives.

Seven people were rescued from the building, and 12 were helped from the collapse, officials said. The search is now on for the missing, as an air ambulance arrives on the scene.

Authorities have not said whether anyone was killed in the collapse.

‘We both grab out cats, she grabbed one, I grabbed one, got to the door,’ Lexus Berry said about trying to get to safety with his wife Quanisha White-Berry.

‘I watched her, and everything just fell down and everything fell on top of me, and I barely made it out the door.’

‘I got out, but there was nothing left but where I was standing at. Everything else was gone.’

Building residents had complained for years about needed repairs. City leaders said the building had permits to make the fixes when the collapse happened.

As the building fell to the ground Sunday evening, Tadd Machavec said he heard screaming.

‘There was a lot of screams, a lot of cries, a lot of people saying “help” when the building came down,’ he told the Associated Press. ‘But that did not last — two or three minutes and then the whole area was silent.

‘I’m hoping and praying the screams that I heard were not people inside of it.’

It remains unclear what caused the collapse of the building on Main Street, which was home to about 80 apartments. But fire crews on the scene found a ‘large natural gas leak’ and water leaking from all the floors.

Robert Robinson lived on the complex’s second floor and just returned from a smoke break outside when part of the building fell.

‘When we started to go back in the lights went out,’ Robinson. ‘All of a sudden everybody started running out saying the building collapsed. I´m glad we came down when we did.’

The extent of the injuries among people who were inside the building when it collapsed is unknown, and those that survived are now scrambling to find overnight accommodations.

First responders say the search for survivors will be challenging, as there have been secondary collapses.

‘Our big thing is the stability of the building. We’re not actually sure how stable the building is,’ Fire Chief Michael Carlsten said. ‘Even while we were on the scene, we did have multiple secondary drops of debris coming from that structure.

‘We want to make sure that all of our first responders are able to process through in a safe manner,’ he continued. ‘But we still want to get through there as quickly as possible.’

Mayor Mike Matson also promised to focus on rescue efforts, though he reasserted that the apartment complex is still an active scene.

‘We will continue to work, continue to evaluate, with the whole purpose of trying to find people and trying to get them out,’ he said.

Several current and former tenants told the Quad City Times that the building had issues in the past.

‘Four months ago, I got a call from the city that told me I had 48 hours to get out because the building was being condemned because bricks were just falling off,’ Todd Wilson told the outlet.

‘What they did was they switched ownership and they gave them time to fix it, but they didn’t do it properly.’

Jennifer Smith also said he never had heat or air conditioning.

‘It sounds bad, but we have been calling the city and giving complaints since December. Our bathroom caved in December,’ she said. ‘We call and report it  and it’s always, “We’ll fix it, we’ll be there” and they don’t.’

She added that 14 units were condemned in January ‘and they were in the back where it caved.’

Many of those residents, Smith said, cannot afford to live anywhere else.

The building was first opened in 1906, and was the home to the Davenport Hotel, the finest accommodations at the time

Davenport’s director of development and neighborhood services Rich Oswald said the building’s owners had permits to make reports to the exterior bricks before the collapse, according to KWQC.

There were reports of bricks falling from the building earlier in the week that was part of the work, he said.

The building was first opened in 1906, and was the home to the Davenport Hotel, the finest accommodations at the time. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, meaning its façade must be maintained.

The building’s owner, Andrew Wold, has yet to comment on the collapse.

Police and rescue crews remained on scene Sunday night as they asked people to avoid the downtown area.

The American Red Cross is now assisting tenants with finding accommodations, and Davenport Mayor Matson said he is in contact with Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds who has ‘offered all assistance.’
