K12 Launches Bullying Prevention Resource Hub and Webinar Series

K12, a leading online learning provider, has unveiled a comprehensive Bullying Prevention Resource Hub and Webinar Series as part of its commitment to promoting a safe and respectful learning environment for students. The launch coincides with National Bullying Prevention Month, which aims to raise awareness about the prevalence of bullying and empower individuals to take action.

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, nearly 6 million students in the U.S. report being bullied at school each year. To address this issue, K12 has developed the Bullying Prevention Resource Hub, a centralized platform that offers a range of tools and resources for students, parents, and educators. The hub includes videos, quizzes, fact sheets, and other materials focused on bullying prevention, kindness practices, and mental health strategies.

In addition to the resource hub, K12 has partnered with Rachel’s Challenge, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering positive school cultures through acts of kindness. As part of this collaboration, K12 is hosting the K12 Draw a Line Against Bullying Move-A-Thon event throughout October. The Move-A-Thon encourages individuals and groups to demonstrate their commitment to preventing bullying by participating in exercise activities and raising funds for Rachel’s Challenge’s school-based programs.

To further engage the community, K12 will be hosting a Bullying Prevention Webinar Series every Wednesday in October. The series will feature special guests, including Kristi Krings, CEO of Rachel’s Challenge, who will join K12 leaders in discussing first-hand experiences with bullying, the risks of cyberbullying, and strategies for creating safe learning environments.

K12’s dedication to addressing bullying is evident in its mission to provide a secure and respectful educational experience for students. A recent survey of parents whose children are enrolled in K12-powered schools revealed that 44% chose K12 due to safety and bullying-related concerns at their previous schools.

As a leader in online education for over two decades, K12 has revolutionized teaching and learning by delivering innovative, high-quality, tech-enabled education solutions to students and schools across all 50 states and more than 100 countries.
